    Animal Genetics Key Accounts Manager

    • We are seeking an Animal Genetics Key Accounts Manager to drive business development and serve as the primary point of contact for strategic partnerships in Nigeria’s livestock and dairy sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal science, bovine genetics, and dairy farm development, with a passion for farmer training and distributor management. The successful candidate will also play a key role in coordinating the Value4Dairy partnership, ensuring smooth collaboration between all stakeholders.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bovine genetics, dairy farm management, or livestock market development.
    • Strong understanding of genetic improvement programs for dairy and beef cattle, with practical knowledge of breeding strategies.
    • Experience managing partnerships and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
    • Proven track record in farmer training, distributor management, and business development.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian regulatory processes, particularly with the Veterinary Department, regarding import permits for livestock genetics.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is an advantage.
    • Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria.

    CDP Cooperative Development Specialist

    Job Summary: The Cooperative Development Specialist will lead all project technical operations, including providing technical assistance to partner cooperatives in areas of cooperative business management, governance, enhanced dairy productivity, and improved milk quality assurance. The project will focus on dairy cooperatives in Oyo and Osun states, Nigeria.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, manage, coordinate, and ensure achievement of performance targets for all cooperative development activities.
    • Address individual capacity needs of partner cooperatives.
    • Facilitate livestock systems development based on cooperative principles and values.
    • Provide technical assistance in cooperative business management and governance.
    • Enhance dairy productivity and improve milk quality assurance.
    • Conduct organizational capacity assessments and design capacity support plans.
    • Create business plans and coordinate training initiatives.
    • Collaborate with agri-businesses and financial institutions.
    • Increase participation by women and youth in cooperatives.
    • Collect, manage, and analyze data related to cooperative development.

    Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

    • Nigerian citizenship or residency with work authorization required.
    • Bachelor's degree in dairy science, agronomy, business administration, rural development, agricultural economics, cooperative development, or a similar field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience with cooperatives, agricultural SMEs, or farmer-based organizations to strengthen their capacities.
    • Technical knowledge and experience in cattle production (dairy and/or beef) required.
    • Successful track record in administering organizational capacity assessments, designing capacity support plans, creating business plans, and coordinating training initiatives.
    • Experience working with agri-businesses and financial institutions strongly preferred.
    • Proven results in increasing participation by women and youth in cooperatives strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, management, and analysis techniques preferred.
    • Professional fluency in Microsoft® suite, English, and common local languages required.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and motivate diverse groups required.
    • Willingness and ability to work in the field at least 70% of the time.

    CDP Country Manager

    Job Summary: The CDP Country Manager will lead all country-level operations, including technical implementation, administration, and oversight. The Country Manager will be responsible for accomplishing established project objectives and performance targets by overseeing project performance, identifying opportunities to improve programming, and fostering an active learning environment for project staff and partners.

    Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

    • Nigeria citizenship or residency with work authorization required.
    • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, agricultural business, livestock management, dairy science, international development, business, economics, or a similar field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of work experience, preferably related to managing international development projects, cooperative development, dairy sector development, or livestock sector development.
    • Proven track record implementing donor-funded projects, such as USAID.
    • Technical knowledge related to cooperative development and/or dairy management strongly preferred.
    • Experience directly supervising and coordinating multi-level staff.
    • Experience coordinating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
    • Experience working with the private sector strongly preferred.
    • Experience directly supervising and coordinating project Monitoring and Evaluation activities.
    • Prior experience with USAID administrative and procurement practices required.
    • Professional fluency in Microsoft® suite, English, and common local languages.
    • Excellent communication and writing abilities and superior interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
