    Packaging Unit Manager

    Job purpose

    To manage Packaging shift operations as the Line Business Manager. Accountable for all aspects of line performance - i.e. safety, quality, environmental compliance, finance, production plan, efficiency, losses and waste. 

    Key roles and responsibilities

    • Responsible for the safety of all line employees
    • Manage PPE compliance and has the authority to take action against non-compliance

    Warehouse Team leader

    Job Purpose

    The primary function of this position is to directly supervise, manage and optimize warehouse operations (Receipt, Storage, Replenishment, Shipping and Returns) to meet and exceed set goals. This function oversees and coordinates daily warehousing activities by implementing quality, productivity, production, and customer service standards.

    Responsibilities and Accountabilities

    • Manage and drive improvements in daily warehouse operations – Receipt, Storage, Offloading, Loading.

    Raw Material Controller - Packaging

    Job Purpose:

    The primary function of this position is s to ensure all Packaging raw materials needed required for production is available at the correct time and in sufficient quantities.

    Process Operator - Packaging

    Job Purpose

    The primary function of this position is to operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness.

    Key roles and responsibilities

    OPERATING AND PROCESS CONTROL 

    • Operating equipment in Packaging process areas according to VPO standards  
    • Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools

    Environment Operator

    Job Purpose:

    The primary function of this role is the operation of the Utilities process plants and associated process areas, the execution of quality control checks and analyses, including coaching of other team members and supporting the Process Artisan in carrying out asset care activities.

    • Drive implementation of process and product optimisation including CAPin and VA projects and trials
    • Analyses plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement to plant performance and initiates opportunity evaluation 
    • Analyses plant failure modes and investigate causes for repeat failures to correct root causes 

    Profile

    • BSc Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
    • Completed Traineeship
    • IBD Papers 1,2&3 completed and passed Completed brewing traineeship 
    • At least 2 years production experience, of which 1 years’ operating at a management level within Brewing. 
    • Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery (financial, operational, people) and brewing technical expertise
    • A good performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion at maintaining quality 
    • Excellent understanding of VPO
    • Effective communication skills. 
    • Good presentation skills. 
    • Self managed and assertiveness. 
    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business 
    • Creative and broad-minded thinker. 
    • Dynamic personality. 
    • Must be a Change agent (Influential power). 
    • Self starter and energetic. 
    • Provide operational support to autonomous shift based teams on process problem solving, supplying expert advice and guidance. 
    • Willingness to challenge the "status quo" and uphold process an quality standards within the operational environment 
    • Coaching and mentoring : with deviations addressed through the non-conformance management procedure and capin process.
