    Senior SAP FI Project Manager (S/4HANA Expert)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • The purpose of this role is to perform the duties of an SAP Finance (FI) Lead within one of the Big 4 firms.
    • The successful applicant will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP S/4Hana Finance and will spearhead our functional transformation initiatives within the SAP S/4Hana Finance module, utilizing extensive knowledge of SAP FI to play a key role in client engagements, leading projects from initial requirements gathering to successful go-live and post-production support.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of the SAP platform and solutions, particularly the SAP S/4Hana Finance module and related processes and Lines of Business
    • Successfully manage complex projects regarding SAP solutions and related projects to deliver value to diverse clients.
    • Provide technical knowledge, direction, and training to the engagement teams to produce quality deliverables on time and on budget.
    • Building and promoting strong client relationships by understanding client needs and proposing digital initiatives or SAP capabilities to serve their needs.
    • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and provide services as an expert in SAP Finance (FI) including system configuration and customization, system support, data migration, testing, training, quality assurance and business process review.
    • Lead and manage all phases of SAP FI implementation projects, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, data migration, integration with other modules (e.g., SD, MM, etc.), and post-go-live support.
    • Brings credibility in terms of SAP Finance product knowledge.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers at key clients.
    • Identify transformation opportunities based on a thorough understanding of the SAP S/4Hana market in West Africa.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • First Degree or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and leading SAP FI projects with significant S/4HANA experience.
    • Proven track record of leading successful SAP FI implementations, training, data migration, integration with other modules, and support.
    • SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance is required.
    • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large teams and complex projects.
    • In-depth experience and sound knowledge of SAP Methodologies, technologies and testing tools.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and writing to a variety of technical and non technical audiences.
    • Must be outcomes and deliverables focused, and able to meet deadlines.
    • Strong organisational, project management and leadership skills.
    • Proficient at working in diverse multi-national teams.
    • Coaching and mentoring of junior staff.

    Associate Director, Technical Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening

    • We are currently looking for an Associate Director to support us in business development and delivery for some key client accounts focusing on capacity building and institutional strengthening across West Africa. Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the successful candidate will lead our capacity building and institutional strengthening service line. He/she will combine business development with delivery and management of engagements. 
    • This role will require working with the IDAS sector heads to identify the specific client needs regarding capacity building and institutional strengthening across West Africa.
    • IDAS in Africa focuses on a range of sectors including agribusiness; climate change, renewable energy and environment; health and human services; youth and entrepreneurship; trade and investment; social development and inclusion; and inclusive and innovative finance.

    Responsibilities

    • Business Development – A lead role in business development strategy design and implementation. Generating new business, building and cultivating strong business relationships, and exhibiting technical and operational leadership to deliver quality, client- centric solutions. 
    • Client/Project management – Lead/manage multiple projects or programs through the direction of a team of professionals and with the contribution of cross- divisional specialists. This includes support on negotiations, contractual arrangements, and delivery of engagements.
    • Develop a portfolio of clients by building and maintaining strategic relationships with senior stakeholders of existing or new clients. Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and products/services 
    • Risk management – Ensure full compliance with client's quality, risk and management requirements. 
    • Any other tasks that will be assigned. 

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in Health, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc. with a minimum of Second Class Upper. A post graduate qualification in a relevant field would be essential. 
    • At least 15 years’ working experience in the international development sector or working with development finance institutions, preferably in Africa. 
    • Proven experience of managing projects and teams in a development or professional services firm. 
    • At least 10 years of experience/knowledge in designing and delivering capacity building and institutional development assignments as a subject matter expert. 
    • Track record of success in writing proposals and winning engagements. 
    • Established relationships and networks with development partners and other players in the development space such as bilateral or multilateral development institutions and foundations. 
    • Well-developed presentation, proposal and report writing, communication and interpersonal skills. 

    Personal attributes: 

    • Good communication (written and verbal), numeracy, presentation and analytical skills. 
    • IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office 
    • An eye for detail 
    • Team player with leadership capability 
    • Excellent coordination and planning skills.
