    Youth Engagement Officer

    • A Youth Engagement Officer should be passionate about youth development, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to create a supportive and inclusive environment for young people.
    • They play a critical role in empowering the next generation and helping them become active, responsible, and engaged members of their communities.

    JOB DESCRIPTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement youth-oriented programs and initiatives that address the needs and interests of young people.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design programs that promote positive youth development, leadership, and empowerment.
    • Create strategies to engage and involve youth in meaningful activities and decisionmaking processes.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to young individuals, helping them set and achieve personal and educational goals.
    • Facilitate peer mentorship programs and workshops.
    • Serve as an advocate for youth, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed within the organization or community.
    • Encourage young people to participate in advocacy efforts on issues that affect them.

    Minimum requirements and Qualifications  

    • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, International Relations, Community development, Political Science or other relevant areas.  
    • 3 years of practical experience in a field related to community mobilization, civic engagement or related area.   
    • Must be interested and committed to Human Rights, Gender Equality and Gender issues.   
    • Must be fluent in community language, spoken and written English: Fluency in Hausa and Kanuri will be an added advantage.   
    • Proficiency in Word and Excel required.   
    • Ability to manage conflict work effectively in unstable, challenging, and fast-paced environments.   
    • Ability to keenly observe confidentiality and discretion.   
    • Ability to work as part of a team.  
    • Leadership and People Management skill  
    • Ability to set priorities, meet specific objectives, use political judgment and knowledge;   
    • Good interpersonal skills, diligence, open mindedness, and dedication.  
    • Experience in writing reports is desirable.

    Sexual Reproductive Health Right Officer (SRHR)

    Minimum Requirements  

    • A Minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in a similar environment/humanitarian context.
    • Leadership, people management, and development, teamwork, and cooperation.
    • Bachelor’s degree related field (or associate degree and equivalent experience).
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.   
    • Essential computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, internet, etc.…).
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Willing to work extra hours and available at the weekend for emergency cases.
    • Proven experience in humanitarian environments with successful examples of livelihood project implementation.  
    • A good written and verbal communication in English language.   

    Good in local languages (Hausa and/Fulani), will be an advantage.

    Monitoring And Evaluation Officer

    JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES 

    The M&E Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities

    • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
    • Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
    • Monitor and evaluate overall progress towards achieving result.
    • Prepare and maintain data base.
    • Provide feedback to the project manager on project strategies and activities.
    • Assist project manager in preparing report on the findings and lesson learned from project innovations.
    • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the project success.
    • Develop M&E system for the project and for the government counterpart/stakeholders.
    • Organize and conduct training on M&E/MIS for project staff.
    • Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annul and other reports to project manager in preparing relevant reports.
    • Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system, develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project.
    • Participate in regular data verification and audit exercises to assess the quality of data reported and address any anomalies identified  
    • Responsible for data collection and entry for various interventions implemented in the field and ensure that complete, accurate, clean and consistent data analysis and action planning.
    • Assist program staff during survey planning and implementation especially preparing logistics needed, participating in data collection and cleaning.
    • Carry out capacity building and mentorship activities for field staff in data collection and cleaning  
    • Ensure proper filing of M&E documents including questionnaires, monitoring reports, datasets among others  
    • Keep the M&E database up to date and help program staff prepare periodic high-quality reports

    Qualifications and Requirements  

    • BSc in International Development, Social Sciences or related field with grounding in quantitative and qualitative research methods required.  
    • At least 3 years working experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:  

    • Database management and knowledge management experience required  
    • Demonstrated ability to use monitoring and evaluation findings for adaptive management; experience with rolling assessments and / or complexity-aware monitoring a plus;  
    • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills required;  
    • Strong computer literacy required; knowledge of SPSS and/or Stata a plus;  
    • Familiarity with issues related to livelihood in crisis and conflict-affected environments a plus;  
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders;  
    • Fluency in English required. Fluency in Hausa, Fulani or other local languages is highly desirable.

    Livelihood Officer

    JOB DESCRIPTIONS /RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure the development of a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to strengthening livelihoods and increase incomes that ensures vulnerable households are able to meet basic food and nutrition needs in addition to becoming more economically secure.
    • Coordinate the food security activities according to strategy, proposals, budgets and plans
    • Promote, uphold and model a commitment to the efficient use of agency and donor resources. Help ensure compliance with donor grants, including financial tracking and oversight of partner budgets, finance, administration and reporting to the donor.
    • Assist in the registration of target households, ensuring that the data is collected and is recorded appropriately
    • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of project plans, budgets and all documents contributing towards an overall project implementation.
    • Implement and manage livelihood development projects in accordance with project objectives and budgets.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to design livelihood development programs.
    • Develop strategies and action plans to promote sustainable livelihoods.
    • Assess the economic needs and livelihood opportunities of target populations.
    • Responsible for the selection and verification of beneficiaries and coordination with the Program team and Targeting Committee, and using of selection criteria.   
    • Actively engage and support in community sensitization.   
    • Maintain clear communication with beneficiaries in accordance with humanitarian policies and procedures.  
    • Organize best production methods/practice for the safety and dignity of beneficiaries.  
    • Conduct field visits to project sites.  
    • Provide close supervision and monitoring to the implementation of livelihood project related activities in the field.   
    • Engage as part of project collaboration with other sectors within the Livelihood Incubation center to ensure a positive work environment and project coordination.   
    • Build positive local working relationships with local communities, governmental organization and non-governmental organization and other partners.   
    • Attend and report back on progress of project with Project manager and related meetings.     
    • Manage the day-to-day implementation of project activities to achieve project goals and objectives including monitoring and evaluation of project outputs, outcomes and overall aims.   
    • Identify, document and disseminate relevant project learning within the programmed to the project manager and Provide advice to other team members.

    Minimum Requirements  

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field (or associate degree and equivalent experience).   
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience   
    • Proven experience in humanitarian environments with successful examples of livelihood project implementation.  
    • A good written and verbal communication in English language.   
    • Good computer skill, conversant with Microsoft Office applications, email etc.   
    • Good in local languages (Hausa, Kanuri and Fulani), will be an advantage.
