    Business Development Officer

    Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

    Job Summary

    • Leading efforts to establish and retain business growth opportunities.

    Job Description

    • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual, quarterly, andmonthly sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit.
    • Develop new strategies, tactics, and plans for future growth of the company’s database
    • Conduct sales campaigns within designated territory to promote the company’sservices.
    • Actively participate in key trade & business associations to generate business leadsand increase products’ visibility
    • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of products or services, or othersubjects of sale
    • Meet the sales target set within the given deadline
    • Oversee and drive execution of strategic business development and relationship management.
    • Develop and drive the strategy for the creation of a low-risk portfolio
    • Provide/present a formal report of activities and achievements of the departmentmonthly to Head, Business Development Management.
    • Participate in internal meetings or committees to provide advice on sales data
    • Support the preparation for and response to audits and ensure that any audit findingsare appropriately responded to and remediation.

    Requirements

    • Interested candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree.
    • Minimum of 3 years of commercial bank experience in business development.

    Business Development Manager

    Job Description
    Sales:

    • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual, quarterly, andmonthly sales quotas; projecting expected sales volume and profit.

    • Develop and manage the budget for the department.
    • Provide/present a formal report of activities and achievements of the departmentmonthly to the Country Sales Manager.
    • Participate in internal meetings or committees to provide advice on sales data
    • Establish a system of knowledge management to capture, store, transfer, and retrievework done within the department for posterity and business continuity.
    • Support the preparation for and response to audits and ensure that any audit findingsare appropriately responded to and remediation.

    People Management:

    • Provide direction and clarify responsibilities for team members.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and ensure that they are accurately andpromptly informed as required.
    • Ensure team cohesiveness and effectiveness within the department.
    • Ensure aseamless handshake with the processes and teams of other departments.
    • Ensure employee engagement within the sales team.
    • Plan, support, and evaluate the performance of members of the department.
    • Provide development support and equip team members with the knowledge and skillsrequired to perform their job effectively.

    Business Development Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Generate income and meet income target in line with the set-target determined at the beginning of an appraisal period
    • Aggressive marketing of the company’s products and services. Effectively profile prospects/clients, analyze their needs and goals, and proffer solutions.
    • Follow up on clients’ mandates to ensure they are promptly executed and error-free.
    • Maintain a cordial business relationship with all clients whilst ensuring regular communication with assigned clients.
    • Effectively work with members of the team in handling all relationship management issues, such that all clients have access to more than one account officer at any given time.
    • Ensure that awareness of Stockbroking services is created and maintained across the Group.
    • In-depth understanding of Trust business
    • Generate income and meet income target in line with the set-target determined at the beginning of an appraisal period.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience

    • First Degree in any discipline from a reputable Higher Institution.
    • Other professional qualifications may be an added advantage.
    • 5 - 7 years working stockbroking experience in a financial institution in business development, sales, and relationship management capacity.
    • Experience in a Stockbroking company is required.
    • MBA is an added advantage.
    • CIS is an added advantage.
