    Head of Stores (Gboko & Okpella)

    Location: Gboko and Okpella

    Job Summary

    The Dangote Cement Transport  is looking for a qualified and result-oriented professional to fill the position in  Gboko and Okpella, He wiil be  responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain function, with a key focus on warehouse operations, inventory control, procurement coordination, and logistical efficiency. He will play a strategic role in optimizing our storage systems, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting the business in meeting its operational goals. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee daily operations of all store and logistics functions, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch.
    • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
    • Manage and lead store and warehouse teams to ensure high performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Implement and monitor KPIs to assess and improve performance across the supply chain.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy through regular audits.
    • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales departments to align supply chain activities with business needs.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards in all logistics and warehousing operations.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the stores and logistics function.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior logistics/stores management role.
    • Strong knowledge of inventory systems, warehousing, and supply chain management.
    • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
    • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, CIPS, CILT, CSCP, CPIM  related field.

    Assistant Supervisor - Packing Plant Operation

    Location: Ibese Plant, Ibese Plant

    Job Summary

    Supervise the activities of assigned packing plant shift team to ensure plant operations are optimized and established targets for the plant are met.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities ·

    • Manage packing plant shift teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of packing plant activities and achievement of daily production targets.
    • Act as shift in-charge for respective shift team.
    • Assist with reviewing of ATCs for respective shift team and ensure Shift Manager Signs off in a timely manner.
    • Assist in supervising the loading of cement into trucks during respective shift.
    • Supervise the operation of packing plant equipment during respective shift.
    • Liaise with maintenance engineers for the maintenance of packing plant machine and ensure prompt repairs are carried out when required.
    • Enforce the use of personal protection equipment during respective shift to prevent accidents. ·
    • Ensure effective on-the-job training of packing plant operators.
    • Perform any other duty assigned by the Shift Manager.

    Requirements

    • National Diploma in relevant discipline + minimum of 20 years related job experience
    • Good relationship management skills
    • Good knowledge of cement production process
    • Good knowledge of the cement packing machines/ functions and procedures
    • Good supervisory skills

    Job Description 

    As a Store Manager at Dangote Cement transport, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal performance and effective customer service within the store.

    Key Duties And Responsibilities

    • Manage and coordinate store operations, including inventory management, sales tracking, and staff supervision.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to meet performance targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase store traffic and boost sales.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards in all areas of store operations.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of HND or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CIM, PMP) will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in retail, stores, warehouse, or inventory management, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
    • Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.
    • Experience managing staff performance, scheduling, and discipline.
    • Experience working with SAP ERP .

    Education and Work Experience Skill

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5-10  years of experience in project management, preferably within the energy or oil and gas sectors, with direct experience in CNG projects being highly desirable.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of CNG operations, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
    • Proven experience managing complex projects, with a track record of successful project delivery within scope and budget.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in project management software, as well as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).
    • Willingness to travel as needed to project sites.
    • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Lean.
    • Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations pertaining to CNG projects
