    Quality Control Officer (Diesel / Generator Set)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality
    • Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
    • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
    • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
    • Disassemble product parts to inspect them individually.
    • Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications.
    • Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards.
    • Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
    • Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions
    • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
    • Proposing improvements to the production process
    • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
    • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
    • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
    • Run load bank tests on diesel, natural gas and propane generators.

    Education and Qualifications

    • First Degree in Engineering.
    • Profound knowledge of Diesel / Gas Gen Set and quality standards.
    • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
    • In-depth understanding of diesel engine and/or generator technology
    • 3-5 years experience in a related field.
    • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
    • Experience working with large industrial power generation equipment

    Tendering & Design Engineer

    Role Objectives

    • As a design engineer, you're involved in the initial concept, design, development and management of projects in a range of sectors such as construction and the built environment, materials, software, components, machinery and vehicles.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage associated cost preparation responsibilities.
    • Obtain factored / sub-supplier costs where necessary.
    • Prepare technical & commercial proposals.
    • Attend clarification meetings with Client when required.
    • Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign-off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.
    • Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.
    • Participate in and actively support company initiatives.
    • Be familiar with the general specifications and market requirements.
    • Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
    • Investigate and undertake analysis on how to improve existing projects or components summarise scientific and engineering principles in an easy to understand manner cover the concept, specification, tender and development of new projects or components design the aesthetics, materials and functionality of components use CAD, CAN and CAM systems to design and visualise projects.
    • Undertake model making, prototyping and product testing
    • Identify new systems and processes to drive quality, efficiency and save costs
    • Communicate effectively with the clients, colleagues and contractors involved in a project
    • Plan effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.

    Qualifications and Experience Required

    • BSc in Electrical Engineering, or Similar / HND in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
    • 5-7 years of experience in similar role
    • Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment.
    • General MS Office Program skills.
    • Knowledge on Primavera P6 or MS Project.
    • Knowledge on AUTOCAD

    Competencies and Skills Required:

    • Good understanding sub & superstructure construction works.
    • Communication & organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Good grammar and technical report writing skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
