    Chemical Analyst

    Overview

    • The Chemical Analyst works under the supervision of the Senior Chemical Analyst and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis of products using standard operating procedures.
    • Write and execute chemical testing procedures.
    • Maintain up-to-date documents for chemical testing methods and activities.
    • Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively to conduct testing.
    • Record, analyze and report test results to Quality Assurance Manager.
    • Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies in laboratory.
    • Record all the test data related to chemical additions, purifications and dump cycles.
    • Responsible for testing Pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products for quality assurance.
    • Regularly collaborate with scientists during the product development process, test materials for scientists and advise on the use of certain materials.
    • Keeping up to date with scientific and technical developments.
    • Using a range of software, techniques and equipment to carry out research and analysis.
    • Responsible for cleaning all lab equipment and the overall lab environment to ensure a safe and clean laboratory environment within the factory premises.

    Chemical Analyst Skills and Qualifications

    • The successful individual must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and at least three (3) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry as a Chemical Analyst.

    The Individual must exhibit the following skills:

    • Previous  work experience in a pharmaceutical company - the chemical analyst must have previous lab experience that has familiarized him or her with laboratory settings. He or She must know how to clearly communicate to scientists and other analysts because of this experience.
    • Knowledge of lab procedures – the chemical analysts must know how laboratories work and understand all related safety procedures. He or She must know when to stop an experiment and how to pick it back up the next day without losing progress
    • Project management – the chemical analysts must be skilled in project and time management and know how to manage deadlines and collaborate with different teams. The Individual should be able to determine the end objective and understand whatneeds tobe done to accomplish it
    • Analytical thinking – the chemical analysts should be able to approach problems with an analytical line of thinking.
    • Attention to detail – the chemical analysts must be able to pay close attention to details and spot seemingly minor occurrences and recognize how they affect the whole research process.

    Senior Chemical Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The Senior Chemical Analyst reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

    Job Responsibilities

    • To develop or verify methods for the testing of incoming materials and developing methods for intermediates and products manufactured using these materials.
    • Carry out analysis to GMP standards and monitor the levels of compliance within the Laboratory.
    • Maintain records of all analytical work carried out on incoming materials, intermediates and products.
    • Monitor the systems in place within the laboratory to ensure that procedures are being followed.
    • Review analytical documentation that has been generated.
    • Report and investigate incidents of out of specifications results within the Laboratory, advise and assist staff in troubleshooting methods, and review new methods with respect to their application within the Laboratory.
    • Using a range of software, techniques and equipment to carry out research and analysis.
    • Analyzing and interpreting data.
    • Making sure that data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines.
    • Reporting and presenting results.
    • Keeping up to date with scientific and technical developments
    • Ensuring that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
    • Preparing product license documentation.
    • Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and the laboratory environment.

    Requirements

    • The Senior Chemical Analyst must have at least a good honours Degree (typically a 2.1 or above) in Chemistry, Applied / Analytical Chemistry.
    • At least five (5) years Practical research/laboratory work experience.
    • Previous GMP experience
    • Previous lab experience – must have previous lab experience that has familiarized him or her with laboratory settings. He or She must know how to clearly communicate to scientists and other analysts because of this experience.
    • Knowledge of lab procedures – must know how laboratories work and understand all related safety procedures. He or She must know when to stop an experiment and how to pick it back up the next day without losing progress.

    Senior Medical Marketing Officer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Accountable for delivery of strategy through marketing activities aimed at increasing and sustaining market growth and demand for our Pharmaceutical Products.
    • Identify target markets and work with insight and market research to inform content and marketing strategy planning and implementation,
    • Analyze the results of all marketing activity and present findings and recommendations to Management.
    • Lead Marketing Projects through cross-functional departmental teams and across market audiences in the Federation.
    • Monitor competitor activity and report on it to the Managing Director /CEO.
    • Use the Pharmaceutical Society’s membership database to ensure that marketing best practice is applied at all times in our marketing activities in Hospitals, Clinics, Pharmacies and the end- users.
    • Liaise with external agencies to ensure that projects are dealt with timely, cost effective and in and efficient manner and that they have a clear understanding of our marketing strategy.
    • Observe the competition, in terms of new products launch, prices etc.,
    • Invest wisely limited budget allocated for the Marketing Office.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Track and Report on all spend against budget for marketing campaigns
    • Overseeing and developing marketing campaigns and own their implementation and execution.
    • Produce valuable content for detailing and selling for the Sales and Marketing Team.
    • Supervise and engage in detailing to Health Practitioners.
    • Ensure a good market share of the products under your portfolio.
    • Oversee the design of product brochures, literature, columns for medical magazines, website etc,
    • Travel widely to work in field with the Sales and Marketing team.
    • Provide and arrange product training for the Marketing and Sales Force,
    • Recommend new product for inclusion to the product portfolio.

    Criteria / Requirements

    • At least and Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Compulsory)
    • At least a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Marketing in a pharmaceutical company (Compulsory)
    • 5 to 8 years marketing experience, product management team in the Industry.
    • Successful track record and experience in identifying target customers and n creatively devising and leading across channels.
    • Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical drugs and effects, market trends, and good communication skills.
