    Junior Engineering Program

    About the Program:

    • This 5-month intensive on-site training program is an incredible opportunity to deepen your knowledge, refine your technical skills, and contribute to ongoing projects. The program is tailored for engineers with 2 to 3 years of experience in composite pipes.

    • Comprehensive, hands-on training in fiberglass (FRP/GRP/GRE/GRV/ESP) and composite piping systems.

    Bid/Tender & Document Control Analyst

    • We seek an efficient and skilled Bid /Tender & Document Control Analyst to join our team at African Star Energy Services Ltd
    • He/she will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission. This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing the bid budget and resources effectively and establishing compliance with all requirements and guidelines.     Job Description

    • The Bid Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and preparing bids for company products and services.
    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through market research and client need assessment.
    • Lead and coordinate the bid management process.
    • Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models and technical responses.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop bid strategies.
    • Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings.
    • Work with relevant departments to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
    • Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management.
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements regarding document handling and retention.
    • Implement access control measures to protect sensitive and confidential information.
    • Collaborate with other departments to refine document control procedures and improve document handling practices.

    Education/Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, Bachelor’s in engineering is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Bid & Tender Analyst in the oil and gas sector is a must
    • Proficiency in using bid management software, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Corel Draw).
    • Being well acquainted with the oil and gas market, contract laws, regulations and registration portals such as Ariba, NIPEX, NCDMB, NUPRC & NMDPRC
    • Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts in the oil & gas industry.
    • Experience with e-procurement systems
    • Experience with sourcing exercises, particularly in public procurement
    • MCIPS qualification

    • Demonstrated success in winning bids through effective proposal management.
    • Strong understanding of the bid lifecycle, proposal writing, development and contract negotiation.
    • Attention to detail and high accuracy in bid preparation and review.

    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Officer will identify new business opportunities, develop and implement growth strategies, and build and maintain strong relationships with clients. The Business Development Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that meet customer needs and stay current with industry and market trends to join its successful and fast-growing team.

    Responsibilities

    • The candidate must have knowledge of the fiberglass industryand a local business expert with excellent marketing strategies to establish business relationships with customers in the oil and gas industries. He or she has to cover the following duties and responsibilities:
    • Source for local and international customers in the oil and gas industry
    • Formulate marketing activities and policies for promoting the company’s services
    • Monitor and gather market information and provide recommendations for improvements to achieve its global business goals
    • Establish contact and develop relationships with customers
    • Perform sales presentations, and cold calls to potential prospects and convert them into clients
    • Gather information about potential international clients, generate leads and write reports
    • Conduct face-to-face consultations with prospects
    • Provide professional solutions to new and existing clients
    • Perform other related duties assigned by Management and supervisor.

    Education & Qualification:

    • Experience in FRP/GRP/GRE/GRV/ESP pipe design engineering in the Oil & Gas industry is a must.
    • Has good business acumen and proven business development skills
    • Minimum qualifications: a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Marine, Fabrication, Environmental) or Business Administration or management.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in the industry
    • Good (international) marketing skills to research new markets and sales techniques
    • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Fluency in verbal communication skills
    • Familiar with industry trends, and experience in business development in emerging markets
    • Willing to travel
