    Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor

    Job Description

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor will play an important role in ensuring that projects and programs achieve their objectives effectively and efficiently.
    • You will support the organization in the design and implementation of systems that allow the utilization of data for informed decision-making to improve project outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities on the project.
    • Develop and manage systems to collect and analyze information on the project's inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact.
    • Responsible for the implementation of all monitoring and evaluation activities.
    • Works with the Project Lead to ensure that the monitoring and evaluation activities are conducted appropriately in line with Project, Country and donor needs.
    • Ensure Program staff are familiar and compliant with all necessary M&E tools.
    • Develop, script, and configure survey instruments on digital platforms (e.g., KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, ODK, or similar tools).
    • Test and validate survey scripts for accuracy, logic, and functionality before deployment.
    • Use statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, or Python) to perform detailed analyses and generate insights.
    • Create data visualizations (graphs, charts, dashboards) to summarize findings and highlight trends.
    • Ensure regular maintenance of database/information systems.
    • Develop M&E plan for the State team to conduct routine monitoring visits to the various project implementation communities, including data verification, and data quality assessments.
    • Prepare monthly M&E reports as required.
    • Ensure data integrity during the collection process by developing validation checks and monitoring incoming data.
    • Develop and implement data cleaning procedures to handle inconsistencies or errors in the dataset.
    • Standardize data formats and ensure that datasets are properly organized for analysis.
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis when needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree with at least Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1)in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Public Health or any related field of study; Master's Degree preferred with 4 years of experience.
    • Must reside in Abuja.
    • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methodologies
    • Knowledge of website applications, Microsoft Office, as well as data analysis software (e.g. STATA, SPSS, EPI INFO, etc.).
    • Good knowledge of program implementation, monitoring and evaluation techniques and practices.
    • Familiarity with impact assessment is an advantage
    • Ability to perform various conceptual analyses required for the formulation, administration and evaluation of projects.
    • Excellent analytical skills and organizational skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to draft and deliver timely quality evaluation reports.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.

    Programs and Business Development Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Programs and Business Development Manager will beresponsible for ensuring the successful planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects and programs while identifying new opportunities for growth, funding, and partnerships.
    • The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, relationship-building, program management, and business acumen.S/he will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients and oversee growth projects.
    • Under the guidance of the CEO, s/he will work to win local and international business, as well as provide support to other business efforts while managing projects to ensure successful delivery.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, execute, and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Responsible for identifying and tracking donor opportunities, supporting the Senior Management Team in the development of fundraising strategies, and coordinating proposal development for strategic funding opportunities.
    • Responsible for the development and writing of quality concept notes and proposals, facilitating new business wins in Nigeria and internationally.
    • Manage the proposal development process, obtaining all the required approvals and overseeing quality assurance of the program design.
    • Lead the development of proposals across market segments – donor, foundation, private sector, and Government of Nigeria.
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and ensuring effective communication.
    • Develop and recommend short-term and long-term strategies for business expansion through identifying new business globally.
    • Support interdepartmental coordination with Program, Operations, Human Resources, and Finance teams for proposal development.
    • Conduct online background/contextual research and analysis of relevance to proposal opportunities.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with potential clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
    • Generate standard monthly reports and customized monthly reports for knowledge management purposes.
    • Support the organization in managing grants, including support management of Country Portfolio and coordinate the submission of high-quality donor reports.
    • Proactively track and engage with market segments to identify business and partnership opportunities.
    • Track data, collate, and maintain client information as needed.
    • Monitor project progress, identify, and mitigate risks, and resolve issues as they arise.
    • Prepare regular project reports and updates for senior management.
    • Other duties as specified by the CEO and other assigned authorities.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Masters degree in Public health, International Development, Development Studies, Social Science, Political Science, International Relations, or relevant field; an advanced degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in international development, with solid experience in Public Health and any other priority sector: health development, education, protection, humanitarian, child rights, governance, and nutrition (familiarity with health development and humanitarian domains preferred).
    • Must reside in FCT.
    • Demonstrated experience in the development sector, inclusive of proposal development for donor organizations, and program management.
    • Proven track record in writing and producing winning bids and proposals for institutional donors, corporate/private sector, and managing projects.
    • Strong understanding and experience with institutional donor funding mechanisms and contract regulations.
    • Excellent writing/editing, reporting, budget development, and presentation/communication skills.
    • Experience in coordinating the development of large-scale or strategic proposals, including the development of multi-million-dollar project budgets.
