    Electro Technical Officer

    Responsibilities

    • The responsibilities include the main General and Special responsibilities listed below. In addition, the OIM or any superior may assign any other tasks to be performed.
    • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all the unit’s electronic and electrical equipment.
    • Assist in the maintenance and repair of all electronic and electrical equipment including:
    • High and Low Voltage systems.
    • Safety and alarm systems
    • Bridge equipment.
    • Radio Equipment
    • Internal Communications equipment
    • Steering systems
    • Engine room equipment
    • Generators and motors
    • Carry out routine safety/megger tests and checks on equipment as required.
    • Be familiar with the PTW System.

    Certificates & Experience

    • Electro-technical rating certificate, STCW95 – Reg. III/7
    • vessels below and above 500GT
    • Completed approved seagoing service including not less than 24 months of training and experience, or
    • Completed approved training, including an approved period of seagoing service which shall not be less than 12 months or,
    • No less than 12 months approved period of seagoing service.
    • Meet the standards of competence specified in section A-III/7 of the STCW Code
    • Good English written and spoken

    Crewing Coordinator

    The Crewing Coordinators’ role of is to handle crew mobilization which involves coordination with crew and vessels agent, completion and arrangement of crew certification; courses, medical / vaccinations etc, the arrangement of crew air and land transport and accommodation and the preparation of service agreements.

    • Manning assigned vessels with qualified, certificated, and medically fit offshore workers in accordance with National, International, and Company specific requirements.
    • To ensure that offshore personnel is provided for vessels/projects in a timely manner by closely liaising with the external travel company, selecting the best option of travel, and being in possession of the correct documentation, visas, work permits, etc. Assist with the visa process as required.
    • To ensure that personnel being mobilized or demobilized are supplied with valid travel information in good time prior to traveling.
    • Liaise with onshore and offshore vessel management to plan and agree on personnel movements and crew changes and engage them where changes of core crew personnel are planned to their specific worksite.
    • Liaise with appropriate discipline Crewing Planner and Recruitment on the sourcing of personnel.
    • Raise call-offs, hire forms, and certification check forms for personnel as required.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues for the management and personnel associated with the assigned vessel(s), efficiently responding to queries from offshore staff in a timely manner.
    • Ensure Kick off Documents and Vessel Activity Briefs are kept updated.
    • Maintain Vessel POB to ensure it is kept updated.

    Qualifications

    • College degree and/or Competency-based qualification
    • Previous experience as Crew Coordinator / Training Coordinator
    • Proven operational experience in training and competency and knowledge of the drilling industry

    Health Safety and Environment (HSE)/ Quality Manager

    Job Summary

    To provide plant safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with regulations.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop QHSE policies, guidelines, and programs required to achieve QHSE excellence at the plant.
    • Ensure & monitor compliance of all operations and maintenance activities with defined QHSE policies.
    • Develop and maintain emergency and disaster preparedness plans that provide clear roles and responsibilities for all personnel.
    • Oversee the conduct of periodic safety self-audits as well as unscheduled spot checks in the plant.
    • Provide advice and technical guidance to the Chief Executive Officer on QHSE issues.
    • Liaise with relevant QHSE authorities to ensure staff awareness and compliance with all regulations and policies.
    • Promote safety awareness throughout the plant and other connected sites.
    • Implement programs to increase QHSE awareness and performance among contractors.
    • Ensure the availability of QHSE facilities and emergency services in the plant.
    • Ensure proper Health and Safety risk identification, assessment, and implementation of mitigating strategies.
    • Collate QHSE statistics, analyse incident trends and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Facilitate QHSE audits of construction and contractors’ activities.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Escalate all unresolved safety concerns and issues to the Head of Operations.
    • Provide input into the update of the company`s policy as required.
    • Assist with training and development of assigned subordinates.
    • Conduct performance reviews of subordinates.
    • Prepare periodic reports for the attention of the Head, Operations.
    • Interface with Regulatory bodies as regards Quality and Environment.
    • Ensure sustainability in all operations.

    Key Requirements Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Engineering or Natural Sciences from an accredited/ reputable university.
    • Professional Qualifications from reputable institutions- NEBOSH and IOSH certified.
    • Minimum of seven (9) years of relevant experience in a high-risk environment. Experience in a power station will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of three (3) years in a managerial/ leadership capacity.

    Second (2nd) Officer

    Job Description and Duties:

    The 2nd Officer is a Navigation and Watch Keeping Officer and Bridge Team Member; Reports to the Master and to the Staff Captain; During his/her watch the 2nd Officer is representing the Master and is in command on the bridge; Responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel.

    • During the watch adheres to the emergency procedures and monitors bridge equipment and watertight doors status
    • Ensure that the bridge is operated in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies, during all prevailing circumstances and conditions
    • Updates the various bridge logs Bridge Log Book, Garbage Log Book, Ballast Log, etc.
    • Assist the lower-ranked deck Officers in in familiarization with the bridge instruments and equipment
    • While the ship is in port the Watch Keeping Officer observes gangways, supervises the moorings and is aware of any significant work in progress as well as monitors the in-port manning duties
    • When the ship is anchored the OOW makes sure that tender operations are performed in a safe manner and according to schedule
    • Responsible for the ship’s stability system during the watch
    • Assists the Safety Officer with related crew training and participates in safety drills

    Requirements:

    • Unlimited Officer of the Watch license, Second Officer for for vessels >500GT plus all required STCW 95 certificates
    • Diploma from an accredited maritime training school or facility
    • Minimum 6 months experience as a Deck Officer on board ships and up to date experience of all current navigational electronics and computerized equipment
    • Very good verbal and written command of the English language
    • Computer literacy basic Windows based programs
    • Good administration skills and ability to prioritise
    • Decision Making, coaching and team building skills
    • Experience with DP2 AHTS

    Second (2nd) Engineer

    Job Description

    Supervises the maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel. Exercise effective control and efficient operation of the technical and mechanical aspects of the rig with due regard to personnel safety, the rig, and protection of the environment

    • Coordinate and ensure that all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment maintenance and repair is done in a safe and prudent manner
    • Ensure conformance to policies, local and international regulations relating to the operation, and current pollution regulations
    • Monitor the power plants controls and power distribution; ensure that power is available at all times
    • Ensure that the permit to work system is in place and followed
    • Participate in the effective management of the vessel and ensure all records are maintained on a timely basis
    • Operate, maintain and repair as necessary the engine cooling water system, lube oil system, and fuel system
    • Supervise the maintenance and repair of all pumps and valves of the ballast system, thrusters, associated driven pumps and auxiliary equipment
    • Ensure that reports for repair and maintenance of equipment are accurate and complete
    • Carry out classification society surveys as part of continuous survey of machinery
    • Assist the First Engineer in ensuring that all third-party equipment is fit for purpose, certified, correctly installed, and maintained.
    • In conjunction with the First Engineer, monitor and control the use and distribution of consumables/materials; generate requisitions as required
    • Maintain an adequate supply of spares to fulfill maintenance requirements and facilitate a safe and efficient operation
    • Inform the First Engineer of any technical problems or limitations that may affect the safe operation .
    • Implement outstanding recommendations from audits, as issued by Clients, Regulatory Authorities or rig management
    • Assist the First Engineer in supplying information for maintenance and repair budget
    • Assist in communicating equipment problems or breakdown information to Field Support Group
    • Ensure that subordinate personnel are properly trained to perform START process
    • Demonstrate commitment to the Company’s safety policies through the consistent execution of leadership and guidance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement for environmental protection
    • Actively participate in weekly safety meetings and pre-job meetings as required
    • Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to the First Engineer and other department heads
    • Ensure a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained onboard the rig
    • Meet the training requirements as per the applicable training matrix
    • Participate fully in the annual performance appraisal process
    • Mentor develop and train new crew members to ensure they are competent to work at their next job level
    • Ensure that all subordinates have the necessary skills and experience to fulfill their assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
    • Supervise and guide crew members on their On the Job Training (OJT) program

    Job Requirements            

    • Second Engineer / for vessels >500GT
    • Experience with DP2 AHTS 
    • STCW Security Training for Seafarers without Security Duties
    • Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates
    • Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the mechanical operations
    • Advanced computer skills
