    Nutrition Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct community sensitization on MIYCN/IYCF best practices.
    • Lead growth monitoring, MUAC screening, malnutrition referrals, and follow-up.
    • Strengthen capacity of CHIPS agents, CHEWs, community volunteers, and facility staff.
    • Document household visits, counselling sessions, referrals, and service uptake.
    • Promote optimal breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and dietary diversity.
    • Conduct facility visits to strengthen the quality of nutrition service delivery.
    • Support nutrition surveillance and routine community data reporting.

    Requirements

    • Degree or certificate in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Food Science, Public Health, or related field.
    • 1–2 years’ experience in community nutrition or MNCH programs preferred.
    • Strong skills in counselling, anthropometry, and community mobilization.
    • Willingness to work in rural communities and travel frequently.

    Project Coordinator

    Responsibilities

    • Provide overall technical and operational leadership for the MCGL Nutrition Project.
    • Develop annual workplans, budgets, activity schedules, and implementation frameworks.
    • Coordinate project activities across supported LGAs ensuring quality and timeliness.
    • Oversee team management, supervision, coaching, and performance monitoring.
    • Lead stakeholder engagement with SPHDA, LGA health departments, community structures, and NGOs.
    • Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality assurance and accountability.
    • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies, including safeguarding.
    • Oversee preparation and timely submission of donor reports and documentation.
    • Represent WOCHAD in high-level technical working groups and state review meetings.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing donor-funded health, nutrition, FP, TB, or HIV/OVC projects.
    • Proven leadership, budgeting, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
    • Strong communication, analytical writing, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Experience overseeing multi-LGA programming is an added advantage.

    Technical Director

    Responsibilities

    • Provide technical leadership for all nutrition-related components of the project.
    • Lead development of evidence-based strategies and high-quality implementation guidelines.
    • Oversee technical quality assurance, capacity-building, and supervision of project teams.
    • Support MEL processes, ensuring accurate tracking of nutrition indicators.
    • Review technical reports, success stories, and learning documentation.
    • Serve as technical liaison with SPHDA, SMOH, Nutrition TWG, and development partners.
    • Guide innovations and best practices to strengthen community and facility nutrition systems.

    Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Policy, Medicine, or related field
    • 7–10 years’ technical leadership experience in donor-funded nutrition or MNCH programs.
    • Expertise in IYCF, community health systems, and evidence-based nutrition programming.
    • Strong technical writing, data interpretation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and mentorship.
