    Business Development Executive - Petroleum Products (Bulk & Retail) & Renewable Energy

    Role Overview

    • We seek a dynamic, result-driven Business Development Executive to drive business growth through strategic sales, client acquisition, and effective market penetration.
    • The Business Development Executive will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of petroleum products and renewable energy by consolidating various marketing strategies to boost the business overall performance.
    • This role requires a proactive and goal-oriented individual who can identify sales opportunities, manage client relationships, and close deals in both corporate and retail sectors.

    Key Responsibilities
    Market & Account Research:

    • Identify high-demand areas, industries, and potential clients in need of petroleum products and renewable energy.
    • Research and profile decision-makers in transport, logistics, manufacturing, construction, and retail fueling stations.
    • Develops sales strategies and approaches for various products and services, such as special promotions.

    Prospecting & Lead Generation:

    • Actively seek out and engage new bulk and retail clients through field visits, cold calls, emails, and networking.
    • Follow up on referrals and inbound leads.
    • Contributes information, ideas, and research to help develop marketing strategies
    • Helps to detail, design, and implement marketing plans for other SBUs
    • Answers questions from clients about our product and services
    • Maintains excellent relationships with clients through superior customer service
    • Tracks sales data and works to meet quotas or sales team goals
    • Analyses trends, data, demographics, pricing strategies, and other information that can potentially improve marketing and sales performance
    • Demonstrates products and services as deemed necessary by clients and management.

    Sales & Client Relationship Management:

    • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client fuel needs and budget.
    • Present tailored proposals and negotiate competitive offers that meet client expectations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to secure repeat business.

    Negotiation & Deal Closure:

    • Prepare and Provide pricing proposals, quotations, supply agreements, and delivery schedules; in liaise with the management.
    • Negotiate terms that ensure customer satisfaction and business profitability.

    Pipeline & Performance Management:

    • Manage leads, opportunities, and client data in CRM or tracking spreadsheets.
    • Report on key metrics: leads, conversion rates, sales volume, and revenue generated.

    Post-Sales Coordination:

    • Liaise with logistics and operations to ensure smooth product delivery.
    • Follow up on customer satisfaction and request feedback or referrals.

    Market Feedback & Strategy:

    • Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
    • Recommend new pricing strategies, sales tactics, or packages based on client insights.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • 4 - 5 years experience in petroleum product sales (AGO, DPK, PMS), energy, oil & gas, or similar sectors.
    • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong client sourcing, negotiation, and closing skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Proficient in CRM tools (or Excel) and sales reporting.
    • Self-driven, well-organized, and passionate about field sales.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Strong network in key sectors: transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, and energy retail.

    Accountant

    Role Overview

    • We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant with 4-5years of hands-on experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general accounting practices.
    • The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently, handling monthly reports, and supporting audits and tax filings in a structured work environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
    • Process and verify vendor invoices
    • Match invoices with purchase orders and deliveries
    • Handle timely payments for all business transactions
    • Maintain accurate records and vendor details
    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
    • Review and audit employees’ expenses
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
    • Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconciliation of statements
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
    • Comply with relevant statutory requirements and standards Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants on audit related matters

    Requirements

    • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Must be conversant with Microsoft business dynamics and other accounting software’ as added required skills
    • 4-5 years practical accounting experience in a structured organization
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • Knowledge of taxation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and customer orientation to work with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory reporting
    • ICAN/ACCA in progress is an added advantage.

    • CIPM membership or other recognized HR certification preferred.
    • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
