    Human Resources Manager

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and directing all activities and programs relating to the recruitment, selection, retention, orientation, and development of the healthcare facility employees.
    • Acts as an advocate for organization personnel and collaborates with other Directors in Human Resources issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Directs all daily human resources operations including providing direct oversight of the establishment and implementation of human resource policies.
    • Ensures compliance with all state, federal, and human resources regulatory requirements.
    • Directs the implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure that consistent employee recruitment, selection, retention, hiring practices, orientation, and termination procedures are handled under applicable laws and regulations.
    • Monitors competitor’s wage, salary, and benefit structures and makes recommendations to the Medical Director for compensation adjustments to ensure that the healthcare facility is competitive in the market.
    • Works with the management team to identify recruitment needs and develop a recruitment plan designed to fill demand, and evaluate the cost-effect of recruitment efforts.
    • Builds and monitors community perceptions of healthcare facility as a high-quality employer.
    • Assists the Executive Director/Administrator in the preparation of the annual budget for the human resources department and monitors the allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
    • Coordinates and participates in community awareness and recruitment activities such as health fairs.
    • Works with the management team in identifying employee education needs and develops orientation and continuing education programs for all employees.
    • Recruits, selects and directly manages members of the human resource team.
    • Maintains a comprehensive library of resources to support employee education and development.
    • Maintains confidentiality of all employee information and files.
    • Annually monitors personnel satisfaction with benefits and work environment and reports the results per organization practice.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, OR more than five years of recent HR experience is a must.
    • At least three (3) years’ experience in health care management preferably in hospice care operations. Two years of experience in employee recruitment and training is preferred.
    • Knows state, federal, and other regulations relating to employment and employee education.
    • Knows corporate business management.
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet applications. Experience with HR database and HRIS systems preferred.
    • Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills and public relations skills.
    • Demonstrates autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking, and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrates ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling records and information.

    Executive Assistant to the Medical Director

    Job Overview

    • The post holder be expected to manage high-level administrative support, clinical schedule coordination, and confidential communication for the Medical Director.
    • You will be expected to develop in-depth specialist knowledge of the Medical Leadership team’s work and have the ability to provide detailed advice and information to whoever requests it, dealing with highly confidential matters with discretion and sensitivity.

    Main Duties of the Job

    • To organize medical meetings, tracking compliance data, and acting as a liaison between clinical departments.
    • To provide efficient and confidential support to the Medical Director, with regard to enquiries within key relationships and to/from external bodies, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and initiative.
    • To maintain the electronic diary system, prioritising the Director’s emails, work activities; resolve conflict diary appointments and set schedules.
    • Monitor the progress of any action, and deadlines to be met. This will include liaising with senior managers, Directors, external agencies, stakeholders and partner agencies.
    • To support meetings attended or chaired by the Medical Director. The post holder will minute meetings and will manage all aspects of meeting papers, including preparation of reports/presentations.
    • To support the Medical Director in all aspects of planning and organisation of directorate events.
    • Implement an effective ‘bring forward’ system to ensure the Director has all the relevant and current papers needed for each meeting.
    • Ensure correspondence is dealt with promptly, being aware of sensitive and contentious issues/information.
    • Draft responses on the Director’s behalf, summarise information, advise on priorities/action required, circulate as necessary.
    • To support the Medical Director in all areas of project work, to the point of managing aspects of certain projects as required.

    Qualifications and Training

    • B.Sc/ HND in Business / secretarial / administrative qualification or equivalent.
    • Advanced keyboard skills.
    • Excellent IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office software.
    • Previous experience of working in an NHS or Health Care setting.
    • Proven relevant Secretarial/administrative experience working for a senior manager/director in a busy environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, and manage and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high quality of work and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven experience taking clear and understandable meeting minutes.

    • Able to identify and take the initiative when prioritising and planning the Director’s workload.
    • Ability to produce work to a high standard of accuracy.
    • Project management experience.
    • Knowledge of NHS processes and procedures.
