    Experienced Sales Officer (Credit Generation)

    Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
    Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a Sales Officer (Credit Manager) to oversee our company’s lending process, from evaluating clients’ creditworthiness to approving or rejecting loan requests.
    • Credit Manager responsibilities include creating credit scoring models, setting loan terms, and determining interest rates.
    • To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Accounting or Finance along with experience processing loan applications. Previous banking experience is a plus. Ultimately, you will help us minimize bad debts and increase revenues from loans.

    Key Deliverables:

    • Research and evaluate clients’ creditworthiness
    • Create credit scoring models to predict risks
    • Approve or reject loan requests, based on credibility and potential revenues and losses
    • Calculate and set interest rates
    • Negotiate loan terms with clients
    • Monitor payments
    • Maintain records of loan applications
    • Follow up with clients to manage debt settlements and loan renewals
    • Ensure all lending procedures comply with regulations
    • Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers.
    • Creating credit scoring models for risk assessments.
    • Approving and rejecting loans based on available data.
    • Calculating and setting loan interest rates.
    • Negotiating the terms of the loan with new clients.
    • Ensuring all loans and lending procedures comply with regulations.
    • Maintaining records of all company loans.
    • Monitoring loan payments and bad debts.
    • Reviewing and updating the company’s credit policy.
    • Develop, review and update our company’s credit policies

    Desired Qualifications and Skills

    • HND, B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or relevant field.
    • 7 - 10 years’ Experience as a credit officer
    • Proven work experience as a credit manager.
    • Advanced knowledge of accounting software.
    • Hands-on experience with accounting software
    • Proven work experience as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst or similar role
    • Good understanding of lending procedures.
    • Advanced mathematical skills.
    • Solid understanding of lending procedures
    • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets (e.g. in Excel).

    Sales Manager (Liability Generation - Treasury)

    Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
    Employment Type: Full Time / Permanent

    Key Deliverables

    • Promotes and sells various liability products offered by the bank, aiming to attract low-cost deposits from diverse customer segments, and sources current and savings accounts.
    • Prospects for new customers through existing leads, referrals, cold calling etc. and maximizing lead generation
    • Ensures timely follow through and healthy closure rate of leads.
    • Achieves ascribed monthly sales target.
    • Informs customers of new products or product enhancements to further expand the banking relationship and enhance customer value.
    • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, and maintains high level of customer service
    • Advises customers on available bank products and services based on understanding of customers’ financial needs and recommends appropriate solutions.
    • Cross-sells secured assets offered by the bank.
    • Adheres to expected level of due-diligence, internal policies and KYC norms while opening new accounts
    • Generate new business through aggressive prospecting via cold calling, the internet, networking and trade shows
    • Identify large opportunities and develop the actions necessary to win business.
    • Work with Sales Management, and fellow Business Development Managers to implement sales strategies, identify opportunities, close sales, motivate the team and spur growth.

    Desired Qualifications and Skills

    • HND, B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or relevant field.
    • Five (5) to seven (7) years sales experience required.
    • Translation & localisation industry experience is preferred.
    • Experience working with or in the financial service sector is preferred.
    • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
    • Demonstrated sales ability in every aspect of sales lifecycle.
    • Ideal candidate will have established network of professionals and buyers within the industry
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong presentation and closing skills.
    • Must be comfortable doing business over the phone and be a confident and aggressive prospector.
