    Director - Strategic Initiatives (Anticipatory Recruitment)

    Job Profile

    • The Director - Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for shaping and implementing select strategic initiatives that align with SFH's mission and contribute to the organization's overall growth and impact.
    • These include core element of the new Corporate Strategic Plan "Beyond Boundaries 2024-2030: Innovations for New Markets."

    Job Role

    • Provide technical guidance on broad RMNCH-N/health systems and determinant of health in select area.
    • Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives in alignment with SFH's long-term goals as will be assigned by executive management team.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure strategic alignment across all organizational levels.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
    • Ensure alignment with global best practices and guidelines.
    • Lead deep and valued relationships with external partners, investors, governmental health agencies, regional institutions, research institutions, and community stakeholders in defined areas.
    • Lead engagement with venture capital and the startup community
    • Lead engagement with governments in a number of African countries.
    • Identify and leverage partnerships that enhance SFH's strategic objectives and broaden its reach.
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and projects.
    • Monitor program progress, identify challenges, and propose solutions for improvement
    • Ensure effective use of resources and timely delivery of results.
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization.
    • Lead change management efforts associated with strategic initiatives, ensuring organizational readiness and stakeholder engagement.
    • Develop and implement performance metrics to assess the success of strategic initiatives.
    • Provide regular reports to the CEO and executive leadership on progress, challenges, and recommended adjustments.
    • Work closely with the finance team to develop budgets for strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor and manage financial resources allocated to initiatives, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
    • Lead and inspire a high-performing team dedicated to the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members.
    • Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of program staff.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

    Qualifications / Experience

    • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or a related field.
    • A minimum of ten years’ experience designing and implementing programs
    • Current or prior leadership experience in a technical role within Public Health.
    • Previous experience working in international or multi-country settings.
    • Familiarity with donors, investors, venture capitalist or other international funding mechanisms health and broader health value chain programmes.

    • The Director of Health Franchise and Chain Development (DHFCD) Director - will be responsible for leading and advancing the strategic growth, development, and operational excellence of health-related franchises and chains within the organization.
    • The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing initiatives that drive expansion, innovation, and improved healthcare delivery.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive Health Franchise and Chain Growth Strategy aligned with organizational health objectives.
    • Identify and assess opportunities for the expansion of health-related franchises and chains.
    • Lead business development efforts to establish new health-related franchises and chains.
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the organization's health network.
    • Oversee the operational aspects of health franchises and chains to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to healthcare standards.
    • Implement best practices to drive operational efficiency and enhance healthcare outcomes.
    • Develop and manage budgets related to health franchise and chain development.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies for revenue growth in the healthcare sector.
    • Foster a culture of healthcare innovation within the organization, exploring new models and technologies for improved health services.
    • Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in the healthcare industry.
    • Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to health franchise and chain development.

    Qualifications / Experiences

    • An undergraduate Degree in Health/ Allied Health fields, Sciences, Business Public Health or a relevant field.
    • Master’s degree in Health Administration or Public Health would be strongly preferred.
    • A minimum of five years’ experience in a complex Supply Chain environment at Middle-Management level.
    • Experience in the healthcare/regulatory-dependent sector is desirable.
    • Basic leadership experience in at least one of the following functional areas: Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Regulatory, or Quality Management.
    • Demonstrated experience in contributing to large-scale projects/programs.
    • Basic collaboration experience with Regulatory, Quality, and other relevant functions
    • Proven experience delivering effective collaboration and proactive partnering with key stakeholders at State, National and Regional and Global levels. 
    • Proven ability to formulate and execute growth strategies and exceptional business development and negotiation skills in healthcare delivery.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management in healthcare.
    • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team focused on healthcare outcomes.
    • Track record of driving operational excellence and improving healthcare service delivery.
    • Visionary Leadership, team building and results orientation in Healthcare - focus on achieving measurable and impactful results in healthcare service delivery.
