    Medical Laboratory Scientist

    Job Description

    • The medical laboratory scientist is expected to use his technical knowledge and skills to deliver quality and accurate diagnostics services to the patients. 
    • The role involves performing routine and advanced medical laboratory tests and procedures, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the existing quality management system is maintained

    Responsbilities

    • Performing pre-analytical procedures e.g. sample collection, separation, accessioning, packaging, review of samples for acceptance or rejection, etc.
    • Operate and maintain medical diagnostics analyzers, instruments, and other table tops tools.
    • Perform sample testing and reporting, Identification of critical results and escalating same as per set protocol.
    • Performs necessary equipment calibration, running of controls, reviewing internal quality controls, and actioning of same.
    • Keeping relevant documentation up to date (e.g. work cards, worksheets, inventory logs, maintenance logs, etc.).
    • Timeous release of laboratory results (within stipulated Turnaround times).
    • Maintaining good laboratory practices.
    • Optimization of the use of laboratory commodities (reagents, consumables, kits, others).
    • Utilizes LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for specimen tracking, results entry, result approval, and reporting.
    • Maintains strict patient information protection and confidentiality.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) with a current practicing license issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
    • 1-3 years post-NYSC work experience (preferably in a hospital-based laboratory).

    Job Description

    • Our pharmacist will work with teams of pharmacy technicians at multiple locations to supervise procurement, manage supply chains and dispensation of high-quality medications to patients located across the country.

    Responsibilities

    • Measure, monitor, and improve metrics related to pharmacy program efficiency and patient satisfaction.
    • Analyze pharmacy performance data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain records for tracking key pharmacy metrics.
    • Provide training and guidance to other healthcare staff on pharmacy procedures and best practices.

    Requirements

    • B. Pharm Degree from an accredited institution.

    • Expertise in counselling and educating patients for primary care conditions for children, adults and antenatal/postnatal.
    • Expertise in counselling and educating patients for chronic illnesses including hypertension, diabetes and peptic ulcers.
    • Research or data analysis experience managing large data sets using Excel, stata or other data software is an added advantage.
    • Experience managing a team including technicians is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools especially Excel.
    • Proficiency in data collection, analysis and review is necessary.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.

    Pharmacy Technician

    Description

    • We're recruiting to fill the role of a Pharmacy Technician. 
    • This role is responsible for dispensing medications, packaging prescriptions and providing excellent counseling for the patients seen at our clinics.
    • The pharmacy technician will also be responsible for maintaining adequate stocks of medications and ensuring medications are stored to preserve their quality.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing friendly and attentive customer service is paramount. 
    • Handle tickets/ escalations raise by the customer care team, answer inquiries, and direct them to appropriate team or personnel.  
    • Assisting in managing prescription orders. This involves data entry tasks such as creating new prescriptions, updating patient information, updating already created prescriptions, updating the statuses of prescriptions, and other relevant tasks.  
    • Maintaining adequate stock levels of medications and other pharmaceutical products. This includes monitoring inventory, restocking shelves, and alerting the pharmacist and pharmacy technician when stock levels are low.  
    • Providing administrative support to the pharmacy team, which may include filing paperwork, organizing records, and managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.  
    • Coordinating with suppliers and service providers is crucial for efficient pharmacy operations.
    • You will manage relationships with vendors, place orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues that may arise. 
    • Working closely with pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, doctors, nurses and customer care staff to ensure smooth operations and provide excellent customer service.

    Requirements

    • Certificate of Pharmacy Technician is compulsory.
    • Registration with the Board of Pharmacy and current practicing license as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
    • Ability to process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is accurate and complete.
    • Ability to provide patient counselling (advising in multiple relevant languages is a plus).
    • Familiarity with and ability to use technological tools including Microsoft Office suite of products and inventory software.
    • Excellent written and oral communication.
    • Ability to communicate medical concepts in clear layman language.
    • Supply and inventory management skills.
    • Good knowledge of dispensing commonly prescribed medication.

    Medical Officer, RFC

    Description

    • The role sits in our clinical team to provide excellent primary care to our patients. 
    • The role holder ideally will be an individual comfortable with providing appropriate counselling to patients of all ages, at all levels of health literacy and has an interest in driving ongoing innovations in improving primary care delivery.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver excellent, evidence-based, patient-centred primary care services to all patients

    Requirements

    • Minimum of MBBS, MBChB.
    • 0-1 years post NYSC experience in comprehensive primary care
    • Demonstrated experience with developing clinical/scientific research or utilizing medical research findings to guide treatment decisions.
    • Able to recognize symptoms and signs of various illness and injuries to order appropriate tests and prescribe treatments.
    • Understand proper format for patient note documentation
    • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
    • Able to work 8am to 8pm on days of shift.
