    Mechanics

    The Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machines, vehicles, and mechanical systems used in the manufacturing process. The role requires technical knowledge of mechanical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure minimal downtime and optimum equipment performance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
    • Diagnose mechanical faults and perform corrective repairs or part replacements.
    • Conduct preventive maintenance according to scheduled service plans.
    • Ensure all mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely.
    • Record maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
    • Work with the production team to minimize machine downtime.
    • Operate tools and machinery safely and effectively.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
    • Recommend improvements to equipment performance or maintenance practices.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    Job Requirements:

    Education & Qualifications:

    • SSCE / OND / Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields.
    • Technical training or certification in mechanical maintenance is an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • 2 – 5 years of experience as a Mechanic in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive environment.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, engines, and industrial machines.
    • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, mechanical equipment, and repair techniques.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive maintenance mindset.
    • Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

    Finisher

    The Finisher is responsible for the final stage of the production process, ensuring that products are smoothed, polished, coated, or otherwise prepared for delivery. This includes sanding, painting, varnishing, buffing, cleaning, and inspecting products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform surface preparation such as sanding, grinding, or filing of products.
    • Apply stains, paint, varnish, polish, or other finishes to completed items.
    • Inspect products for defects, scratches, or flaws and correct them appropriately.
    • Ensure that all finishing work meets company quality and safety standards.
    • Work with production and quality teams to ensure customer specifications are met.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean workspace.
    • Keep records of materials used and finishing techniques applied.

    Job Requirements:

    Education & Qualifications:

    • SSCE / OND / Vocational or Trade Certification in Finishing, Painting, Carpentry, or a related field.

    • 1 – 3 years of experience as a Finisher in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Skilled in using hand and power tools for sanding, buffing, and polishing.
    • Knowledge of various finishing techniques and materials (e.g., lacquer, varnish, paint, powder coating).
    • Good eye for detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
    • Understanding of safety practices related to chemicals and equipment.
    • Physical stamina and ability to work with hands for extended periods.
    • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or in a team.

    Panel Beater

    The Panel Beater will be responsible for repairing, reshaping, and replacing damaged or defective vehicle panels, metal parts, and body components. The role requires technical expertise in metalwork, welding, and the use of specialized tools to ensure high-quality and precise body repairs that meet manufacturing and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assess damaged panels and body parts to determine repair methods.
    • Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate tools and techniques.
    • Remove dents through hammering, planishing, or filling techniques.
    • Cut, weld, and join panels as required.
    • Operate welding and metal shaping equipment safely and efficiently.

    • Skilled in metalwork, welding, and body repair techniques.
    • Proficient in the use of tools such as hammers, dollies, welding equipment, and spray guns.
    • Good knowledge of vehicle structures and body components.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and repair manuals.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality.
    • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy tools and materials.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    Vulcanizer

    The Vulcanizer is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing tyres and rubber components of vehicles, equipment, and machines. The role involves identifying tyre faults, patching or replacing damaged parts, performing wheel balancing and alignment, and ensuring tyres meet safety and operational standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspect and diagnose tyre wear, damage, or pressure problems.
    • Repair punctures, tears, and leaks in tyres using vulcanizing methods.
    • Operate vulcanizing and tyre repair equipment safely and effectively.
    • Remove, replace, and rotate tyres for vehicles and production equipment.
    • Perform wheel balancing and alignment tasks when required.
    • Monitor and maintain tyre inventory and report worn-out or unsafe tyres.
    • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services.
    • Ensure all tyre work meets company and safety standards.
    • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

    Education & Qualifications:

    • Ability to identify tyre faults and perform appropriate repairs.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
    • Good manual dexterity and physical strength.
    • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
