    Senior Lecturer, Nursing Science

    Job Summary

    • The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the teaching, research, and professional practice of Nursing Science.
    • He or she will be responsible for delivering academic lectures, mentoring students, engaging in scholarly research, and contributing to the academic and administrative growth of the department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in core areas of Nursing Science.
    • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students’ research and clinical placements.
    • Participate in curriculum design, development, and periodic review in line with NUC and NMCN standards.
    • Conduct independent and collaborative research and publish in reputable academic journals.
    • Serve on departmental and university committees and contribute to policy formulation and implementation.
    • Mentor junior academic staff and support academic leadership within the department.
    • Engage in community health outreach and strengthen partnerships with healthcare institutions.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • A Ph.D. in Nursing Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
    • Must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife with a valid license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
    • A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a recognized university or comparable institution.
    • Evidence of substantial scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
    • Proven experience in student supervision, curriculum development, and academic mentorship.
    • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Administrative experience within a university or healthcare institution will be considered an added advantage.

    Human Resources Process Specialist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review, design, and streamline HR processes to improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR functions.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations activities.
    • Manage HR data, records, and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Collaborate with departments to ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied.
    • Monitor compliance with labour laws and institutional policies.
    • Identify process gaps and recommend innovative solutions for improvement.
    • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports for management decision-making.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or any related field.
    • A Master’s Degree or professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in HR operations, process improvement, or similar roles.
    • Proven knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and organizational policy implementation.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR management systems.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    Lecturer II (Criminology & Security Studies)

    Requirements and Qualifications

    • Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Criminology & Security Studies, or a closely related discipline, or have at least three (3) years of teaching experience as an Assistant Lecturer in Criminology or Security Studies at a recognized institution.
    • Expertise in areas such as crime prevention, intelligence analysis, forensic investigation, security management, or counter-terrorism will be considered an added advantage.
