    Maintenance Technician

    Nutri K Limited – Is a subsidiary of Nutriset Group which was established to provide technical support in the specialized manufacturing, commercialization and distribution process of ready to-use food for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition in Nigeria.

    With a population of nearly 180 million people, Nigeria is the biggest economy in Africa. However, every year, over 500.000 children under the age of five years old die from malnutrition. About 1.7million of Nigerian children suffer from severe acute malnutrition, and close to a third of the 10 million under 5 age children suffer from chronic malnutrition; NUTRIK LTD is dedicated to the fight against malnutrition in Nigeria. The company specialized in manufacturing nutritional food used for the care of children affected by malnutrition. NUTRIK supplies humanitarian and health programmes with high quality ready-to-use-therapeutic and supplementary food (RUTF, RUSF), as well as lipid-based nutrient supplements (LNS). Nutri K is now looking for Maintenance Technician for its Production department to carry out its activities in Kano.

    Number of position: 1.

    OVERAL MISSION

    General objective

    The role of the Maintenance technician is to help improve safety and overall equipment effectiveness by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through the maintenance, installation, and control of all electromechanical equipment and systems onsite

    RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

    • Responsible for executing daily Preventive Maintenance and Inspection tasks.
    • Responsible for executing assigned corrective work orders related to the priority of the business.
    • Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment in compliance with standard work, and adherence to safety regulations.
    • Contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes.
    • Maintain records of Preventive and corrective maintenance.
    • Perform routine maintenance on production.
    • Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess strong adherence to deadlines while in constant communication with supervisor
    • Drives Lean activity to ensure department is consistently driving towards being lowest cost provider by eliminating non-value-added activities
    • Checking spare part stocks and reporting low spare stock to supervisor

    REQUIERED SKILLS

    • Language skills – English & Hausa
    • Education degree – Minimum of OND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field required
    • Work experience; 1 years’ experience in relevant field, previous experience in food industry plant experience is a plus
    • Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook

    Production Supervisor

    OVERAL MISSION

    General objective

    The Production Supervisor manages and coordinates the activities of production personnel engaged preparing

    and packaging of finished products, including providing leadership, direction and facilitation on multiple

    production lines.

    RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

    • Start production equipment
    • Check conformity between actual production stock and Origin stock
    • Requesting of Raw & Packaging material required per shift "check possibility of order and delivery form and provide the team leader with the batch number
    • Check Raw material at reception such as "batch number, quantity, status in Origin and pallet number"
    • Following Production shift target in blending and Packaging side each hour
    • Ensure smooth production running and working to achieve the shift plan
    • Deal with shift issues such as "Raw material loss, abnormality, origin, equipment...etc...”
    • Ensure all production rules are implemented
    • Ensure all production test are preformed
    • Ensure and monitoring production Organization cleanness
    • Check all finished product pallet before transferring to warehouse.
    • evaluate new production operators
    • Coordinate with warehouse team to delivery finished product pallets
    • Record DSR on the excel sheet and monitoring KPIs
    • Check all starting data and ensure conformity

    REQUIERED SKILLS

    • Language skills – English & Hausa
    • Education degree – Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Science or any related field required
    • Work experience; 3 years’ experience in relevant field, previous experience in a supervisory capacity and food industry plant experience is a plus
    • Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook

    Procurement Officer

    OVERAL MISSION

    General objective

    Specialist shall be responsible for the storage, distribution, inventory management and records maintenance of items in the warehouse. Logistics and supply are important components of supply-chain management, which emphasizes the essence of receipt and proper storage of raw materials and finished goods, managing orders, shipments, clearance and custom formalities, local transport etc.

    RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

    • Assesses and organizes logistics in terms of transport requirements, receipt, handling, storage and
    • distribution of items and establishes proper warehousing and recording systems
    • Place international procurement orders and follow up delivery schedule
    • Manages proper and accurate documentation for international and local orders
    • Relate with bank for the processing of Form M, PAAR and other requirements for import
    • Prepare for receipt of international shipments, and liaises with clearance agents
    • Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of
    • origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary
    • Follow up purchase contracts
    • Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule
    • Implement training plan
    • Supervise local purchases
    • Maintain petty cash organize payments upon approval
    • Supervise warehousing and inventory
    • Maintain records according to a filing system
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    REQUIERED SKILLS

    • Work experience; 4 years of experience in supply chain, previous experience in food industry plant experience is a plus

    Company Cleaner

    OVERAL MISSION

    General objective

    Cleaning and sanitizing are of vital importance in areas where food substances are manufactured. Without proper cleaning, these areas are prone to dangerous bacterial growth which presents a safety hazard. This job requires on-the-job training and safety knowledge. Cleaners may be required to use special equipment or chemicals to complete their cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for the day-to-day operations of the facility

    RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

    •  Perform light industrial cleaning, including but not limited to: mopping, sweeping up debris, wiping down machines.
    • Transport, clean, and sanitize machinery parts as needed.
    • Be responsible for maintaining a clean environment for the production space.
    • Be willing to take on new roles and tasks as needed and assigned.
    • Implement safety, quality, and production procedures.
    • Stock and maintain supply rooms
    • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
    • Follow all health and safety regulations
    • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

    REQUIERED SKILLS

    Language skills: English & Hausa

    Education degree: Secondary School Leaving Certificate

    Work experience: Proven working experience as a cleaner

    Other required skills;

    • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
    • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
    • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
