    Cost Controller

    The Cost Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling project or operational costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability. This role involves budgeting, cost analysis, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations

    Role Description:

    • Develop and manage budgets for projects, or operations
    • Monitor actual costs against budgets and identify variances
    • Pepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial analyses
    • Analyse cost drivers and recommend cost-saving measures
    • Ensure proper allocation and classification of costs
    • Work closely with project managers and department heads to control expenditures
    • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expenses
    • Track commitments and ensure spending aligns with approved budgets
    • Support financial audits by providing required documentation and explanations
    • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to costs
    • Reconcile Revenue and Cost with Receivable manager and payable manager
    • Advice Head of Strategy & Financial Planning prior on the impending risk on any project

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field Professional certification preferred (ICAN, PMP).
    • 4-6 years' experience in Finance, Procurement, or Compliance functions
    • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Microsoft package)
    • Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central advantage).
    • Strong understanding of vendor compliance, cost control, and insurance/risk management

    Project Accountant

    To ensure accurate project costing, contract compliance, and timely reporting to support management decisions and overall project profitability

    Job Duties/Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

    • Prepare and maintain accurate project financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyses project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
    • Track revenue recognition and project profitability in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
    • Provide timely and accurate financial information to project managers, stakeholders, and senior management.
    • Assist in the preparation of project budgets in coordination with project managers.
    • Review and validate project costs, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure proper allocation Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
    • Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
    • Work closely with Commercial and Project Control teams to track commitments, variations, and contract changes, ensuring financial accuracy.
    • Ensure accurate WBS, cost codes, and project structures in Business Central and any approved project control systems.
    • Ensure disciplined financial governance across project lifecycle to support cost control, contract compliance, and timely project delivery.
    • Maintain audit trails and support internal/external audit reviews.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is required
    • Associate of Chartered Accountant (ACA) will be added advantage
    • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, cost control, or financial management
    • Knowledge of billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
    • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics)
    • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to identify budget variances and recommend corrective actions
