    Vice-Chancellor

    Qualifications
    An applicant for the post of the Vice-Chancellor of JUG must possess the following qualities and qualifications:

    • The Vice-Chancellor of JUG must be a professor of not less than five (5) years standing.
    • He/she shall not be more than (55) fifty five years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
    • He/she must be a Lecturer in reputable Universities for at least (15) fifteen years of unbroken service.
    • He/she must have demonstrated capability for mobilization of financial resources / grants from national and international bodies.
    • He/she must have demonstrated/documented experience of establishing new or restructuring existing tertiary institution.
    • He/she must be ICT compliant and open towards technology and have deep conviction regarding its potential applications.
    • He/she must be physically fit, morally sound and of impeccable character.

    Terms of Appointment

    • The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of (5) five years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term.
    • The terms and conditions of service for the Vice-Chancellor shall be embodied in a contract under the seal of the University on such terms as to the condition of the office specified in the instrument of appointment.

    Registrar

    Qualifications
    A candidate applying for the position must:

    • Possess a minimum of Second-Class upper Honours Degree in Social Sciences from a recognized University (possession of higher Degree(s) in relevant subjects will be an advantage)
    • Not be more than fifty (50) years of age at the time of appointment with a minimum of 12 years relevant experience in a similar position, five of which must have been at management level;
    • Be a member of relevant administrative/professional association.
    • Not only be knowledgeable in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), but also demonstrate capacity to deploy ICT skills in normal University Administrative and Management functions.
    • Be physically and mentally fit, a person of high integrity and must have good leadership qualities.
    • Command respect and able to carry colleagues along.
    • Have high level of interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

    Remuneration
    The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be as applicable to the post of Registrar in Nigerian Universities and as may be determined by the Governing Council of Jewel University from time to time.

    University Bursar

    Qualifications
    A candidate applying for the position must:

    • Possess a good Honours Degree in Accounting or allied disciplines from a recognized University. Possession of a Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
    • Currently not be lower than the rank of Deputy Bursar and must have a minimum of (10) ten years' relevant experience, (5) five of which must have been spent in a university.
    • Be a registered member of a professional body, such as the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and related bodies.
    • Show evidence of knowledge of ICT and understanding of accounting software and its applications in financial administration and management.
    • Not be more than (50) Fifty years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
    • Have in the past exhibited a considerable degree of competence, responsiveness, integrity and transparency on matters of financial administration and management.

    Terms of Appointment

    • The Bursar shall hold office for a term of (5) five years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term.
    • The terms and conditions of service for the Bursar shall be embodied in a contract under the seal of the University on such terms as to the condition of the office specified in the instrument of appointment.

    University Librarian

    Qualifications
    A candidate applying for the position must possess the following qualities and qualifications:

    • The candidate must possess a good Master's or Ph.D Degree in Library / Information Science from a recognized University.
    • He/she must be Deputy University Librarian or Professor by rank.
    • He/she must have at least (10) ten years' relevant experience.
    • The candidate must show evidence of contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in reputable journals.
    • The candidate should be able to show a clear understanding of 21 Century University Library, demonstrate considerable experience in its management and administration.
    • The candidate must be knowledgeable in the application of relevant computer software and library operations/services, especially the e-library.
    • The candidate must be a registered member of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and must not be more than (50) Fifty years of age at the time of assumption of duty.

    • The University Librarian shall hold office for a term of (5) five years in the first instance and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term.
    • The terms and conditions of service for the University Librarian shall be embodied in a contract under the seal of the University on such terms as to the condition of the office specified in the instrument of appointment.

    Academic Secretary

    Qualifications
    A candidate applying for the position must possess the following qualities and qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. or Master's Degree in either Sociology, Counselling and Psychology, Education Planning and Management, Human Resource Management, or related subjects, from a reputable University.
    • At least ten (10) years working experience in Institutions of Higher learning preferably in students' welfare, three (3) of which should have been at senior management level. Candidates must not be over 50 years of age.
    • Should have the ability to understand student behavioural patterns, group dynamics and inspire disciplined behavior among students.
    • Prior experience working in a high-paced and performance-driven environment.
    • Relevant experience working in a client driven environment.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and ability to communicate clearly at different levels.
    • Should have broad knowledge of university procedures and regulations relating to student affairs.
    • Should have a broad knowledge of the process and practice of arbitration, mediation and facilitating negotiation.
    • Should have the ability to develop and establish extensive medium and long-term objectives, goals, strategies, and a course of action to accomplish requirements of the University relating to student's affairs.

    Remuneration
    The remuneration and other conditions of service shall be as applicable to the post of Academic Secretary in Nigerian Universities and as may be determined by the Governing Council of Jewel University from time to time.

    • Specific services to local, national, and international communities (Providing dates, institutions/establishments, and status)
    • Present employment status, salary, and employer
    • A statement of the candidate's vision for the University in the next (5) five years in not more than 1,000 words and not less than 600 words
    • Extra-curricular activities
    • Names and addresses of three Referees.
