    Telecom Rigger

    Job Description

    • As a Telecommunication Rigger, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, particularly antennas and towers.
    • Your role involves working at heights to ensure that wireless communication systems operate efficiently and safely.

    Responsibilities

    • Tower Installation: Erect, dismantle, and upgrade telecommunications towers and antenna systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards.
    • Equipment Installation:Mount antennas, feedlines, and other telecom equipment onto towers or rooftops using appropriate rigging and safety techniques.
    • Cable Installation: Install and maintain transmission lines, fiber optic cables, and other cabling systems for telecommunications networks.
    • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection gear.
    • Equipment Testing: Conduct testing and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment to ensure proper functionality.
    • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on towers and associated equipment to optimize performance and reliability.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment installed, and maintenance activities.
    • Team Collaboration:Coordinate with other team members, including engineers and technicians, to complete projects efficiently.
    • Emergency Response:Respond promptly to service outages or equipment failures to minimize downtime and restore service.
    • Compliance: Follow industry standards and regulations related to tower rigging, safety, and telecommunications.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Experience as a telecommunications rigger or related field.
    • Proficiency in climbing and working at heights, with certification in tower climbing and rescue (e.g., Comtrain or equivalent).
    • Knowledge of rigging techniques, knots, and safety procedures specific to tower climbing.
    • Understanding of telecommunications equipment and antenna systems.
    • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks at heights.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to travel and work in various outdoor environments and weather conditions.
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

    Cooperate Sales Associate Trainee

    Job Summary

    • The Corporate Sales Trainee Associate role will be to manage assigned business portfolio, he or she will prospect accounts within the territory, protect and secure new revenue, ensure set targets are met, while providing support to the Territory Manager.

    OSP Deployment Engineer

    Job Description

    • You will be directly responsible for and actively involved in project execution planning, monitoring and control, stakeholders' engagement, and risk averting, in an effective manner that ensures projects are delivered to time, quality, and scope.
    • The role will typically involve everyday visits to project sites to ensure project objectives are not compromised, and where necessary, guide the contractor to solve complex installation problems.
    • The project supervisor is also responsible for the final integration & commissioning of service terminals (GPON or P2P) within acceptable loss levels and submitting test reports required for service fulfillment and maintenance operations.
    • Effective planning of P2P and GPON Fiber Projects.
    • Provide daily project work plan and activity reports to team lead/data analyst, every day, throughout the duration of the project.
    • Provide prompt updates on issues/challenges that may impact project delivery dates.
    • Sign out and move materials to project site, in a timely manner.
    • Review quality of materials supplied to site by the contractor (e.g., PVC, HDPE, GI pipes, iron rods, etc.) and ensure they meet ipNX standards. Reject sub-standard materials and escalate back to your Team Lead.
    • Enforce compliance with work methods and other deployment guidelines within Estates & MTUs.
    • Actively monitor civil works (trenching/ducting, hand-holes construction, pole planting, cabinet installation).
    • Actively supervise cable pulling/MST box installation, splicing, and termination.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations in line with SHE standards, e.g., working at heights, working around power lines, working in greenfield environments, working around underground utilities, working at night, etc.
    • Provide daily/regular activity reports to Estate/Facility Manager in a timely manner and manage issues proactively.
    • Maintain a healthy relationship with Estate/Facility Manager, residents/customers, and other key stakeholders.
    • Ensure a healthy relationship between the project team & key stakeholders (e.g., EM/FM, residents, customers, property owners, area boys, etc.)
    • Validate, submit & track variations until approval.
    • Validate and track milestone payments until approval.
    • Ensure project snags are cleared beforehand over/audit.
    • Submit kick-off meeting reports, milestone reports.
    • Submit MST or P2P splice reportsheets, OTDR trace test and hand-over reports.
    • All reports must be submitted 24hrs after activity/task completion.
    • Attend all project meetings – weekly review meetings, on-site kick-off meetings, divisional meetings, customer-triggered meetings, emergency meetings.
    • Actively participate & lead project hand-over/audit exercise.
    • Proactively engage stakeholders to mitigate escalations that may stall/delay project speed.
    • Provide support to other team members or units where necessary or as instructed by your team lead or unit head.

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

    • University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering, or Applied Sciences.
    • Certifications in Fibre Optic Cabling, CFOT or FOA will be an added advantage.
    • Certifications in HSE Grade III will be an added advantage.

    Functional Skills:

    • Proficient use of fiber test tools e.g. OTDR, power meter & Light source, VFL.
    • Proficient use of design software e.g. AutoCAD, Visio/GIS tools, etc.
    • Proficient use of basic data analytics software, e.g. Excel, Word, Google live sheets.
    • Excellent Communication Skills (Written & Oral).
    • Sound knowledge of telecom industry best practices with regard to fiber & civil installation.
    • An inherent culture of documentation - daily project activity reports, As-built drawings, splice reports, OTDR trace reports, project milestone/completion reports.

    OSP Maintenance Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • The Maintenance Quality Control Supervisor oversees the maintenance of ipNX fiber optic & civil work activities on the outside plant network.
    • The OSP Supervisor will be involved in the day-to-day maintenance and management of the outside plant, taking into consideration Customer and Local Authority organizations in the maintenance of the fiber outside plant. The role is expected to involve a significant element of on-site attendance.
    • Corporate Customers: Restore service failures within 3 hours of its occurrence- Implementation and integration of new projects and ensure all open incident tickets are closed within this time frame.
    • Retail Customers: Restore service failures within 8 hours of its occurrence.
    • Field to base Communication: Provide prompt feedback for input into the OTRS application with information relating to activities being carried out to resolve customer service incidents.
    • Proactively drive MSPs to identify, plan and execute preventive maintenance action on the fiber network.
    • Enforce active engagement of construction works (road and real estate) by MSPs to mitigate damage to ipNX fiber infrastructure.
    • Enforce active monitoring of trenching activities by other PTOs along our fiber route
    • Audit and collate information for the fiber wire-line network.
    • Prepare and submit the as-maintained documents after every network activity.
    • Provide network data for processing change request approvals
    • Provide monthly cabinet utilization report
    • Ensure weekly support status reports are done and submitted timely for review.
    • Submit as-is fiber break-fix report per ticket
    • Submit monthly cabinet utilization report
    • Submit out-of-scope BOM and supporting documents for PO approvals
    • Assessment, Acceptance test and Hand-over Documentation from project deployment team and MSPs which includes, Installation of Poles, Hand-Hole and duct calibration

    Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

    • University Degree in Telecoms, Engineering or Applied Sciences with 3-5 years experience.
    • Telecom Experience Only
    • Proven track records of maintenance and management of metro and/or long distance fiber optic infrastructure.
    • Sound knowledge of telecom industry best practices, norms and technical requirements with regard to fiber & civil work maintenance.
    • FTTx and/or P2P fiber deployment and maintenance experience are distinct advantages i.e. fiber termination using fusion splice machines, testing & analyzing fiber links with OTDR and Light Source/Power Meters (LSPM), identifying fiber cores with VFLs.
    • Capable of understanding fiber network architectures, designs & splice plans.
    • An inherent culture of documenting concise and accurate “As-Is” status of network elements and splice configuration, in a consistent manner.
