    Geomechanics Specialist

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct geomechanical modeling and analysis to assess wellbore stability, sand production, fracture propagation, and reservoir compaction. Integrate seismic, petrophysical, and drilling data to develop accurate subsurface models.

    Wellbore Stability:

    • Provide geomechanical guidance during drilling to prevent wellbore collapse, lost circulation, and other stability issues, particularly in deepwater and HPHT environments.
    • Analyze the mechanical behavior of formations to optimize mud weights, drilling parameters, and well paths.
    • Perform formation integrity tests (FIT) and evaluate fracture gradients to ensure well safety.
    • Advise on sand production risks and design sand control solutions, including gravel packs, screens, and chemical treatments, based on formation behavior and geomechanical characteristics.
    • Develop and update pore pressure and fracture gradient models using seismic, well log, and drilling data. Provide real-time support during drilling operations to ensure proper mud weight management.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of hydraulic fracturing operations by conducting fracture modeling and analysis, ensuring optimal reservoir stimulation and minimal risk of unintended fracture propagation.
    •  Evaluate the potential for reservoir compaction and surface subsidence as a result of production.
    • Propose mitigation strategies to maintain well integrity and production performance.

    Collaboration and Support:

    • Collaborate with subsurface teams, including geologists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling engineers, to integrate geomechanical models into field development plans.
    • Provide on-site and remote geomechanical support during drilling, completion, and production operations.
    • Interpret real-time data to recommend adjustments and ensure well integrity and safety.
    • Identify geomechanical risks related to drilling, completion, and production, and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Conduct failure analysis and propose solutions for preventing wellbore instability, casing deformation, and reservoir damage.
    • Provide training and technical support to junior engineers, drilling teams, and other stakeholders on geomechanical concepts and best practices.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and international industry standards, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance.

    Requirements

    • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Geophysics, or a related field. A master’s or Ph.D. in Geomechanics or Rock Mechanics is strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in geomechanics with at least 5 years in offshore deepwater environments.
    • Proven track record in wellbore stability analysis, pore pressure prediction, and sand control in high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) wells.
    • Experience working on international deepwater offshore projects, including prior expatriate roles.
    • Proficiency in geomechanical modelling software such as Petrel, FLAC, ABAQUS, or similar.
    • Strong understanding of wellbore stability, rock failure mechanics, hydraulic fracturing, and sand control.
    • Familiarity with drilling and completion operations, particularly in deepwater or challenging environments.
    • Valid offshore survival certification (BOSIET or equivalent).

    Skills:

    Deepwater Drilling Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all aspects of deepwater drilling operations, from spud to completion.
    • Ensure drilling programs are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and offshore rig crews, to optimize well designs and drilling strategies.
    • Monitor daily drilling performance and adjust operations to mitigate risks and improve efficiency.

    • Provide expert guidance on well design, mud programs, casing and cementing, well control, and drilling fluids in deepwater environments.
    • Troubleshoot technical challenges related to high pressures, extreme depths, and complex well conditions.
    • Stay updated on new technologies, innovations, and industry trends to improve deepwater drilling processes.
    • Mentor and train junior drilling engineers and offshore personnel.
    • Vendor and Contractor Management:
    • Oversee the performance of drilling contractors, service companies, and equipment suppliers to ensure alignment with project objectives.
    • Review and approve contracts and ensure that all contractors meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including joint venture partners, regulatory bodies, and third-party vendors.
    • Ensure that all operations comply with local and international regulatory standards, including deepwater-specific rules.
    • Work with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and licenses for deepwater drilling operations.
    • Ensure proper documentation and reporting for audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all deepwater drilling operations, reporting regularly to senior management.
    • Provide detailed updates on operational performance, project milestones, and safety records.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align drilling operations with broader business objectives.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in drilling operations, with at least 7 years in deepwater drilling management.
    • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of well construction, blowout preventers (BOP), managed pressure drilling (MPD), well control, and rig operations in deepwater environments.
    • Certifications: Valid Well Control certification and other offshore safety certifications such as HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) and BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).
    • Proven ability to work in diverse geographical regions and offshore environments, adapting to different regulatory and cultural conditions
    • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience managing offshore drilling teams and large-scale projects.

    Service Description:

    • Reports to the Bonga North (BN) Quality Lead (QL)
    • Ensure HSSEQ Compliance: Ensure all welding activities comply with HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality) standards and promote a safety-first culture on-site.
    • Enforcing Shell and IOGP (International Oil and Gas Producers) HSE (Health Safety and Environment)
    • policies and procedures at Company worksites.
    • Responsible for QA and QC across all project phases to ensure implementation of the Project and Contractor Quality Plans whilst interfacing directly with respective Package Leads, Teams, Engineering Disciplines and Contractor personnel.

    Quality Engineer, Services - Assurance & Controls

    Responsibilities

    • A good knowledge of the potential hazards associated with construction activities and willingness to intervene in cases of unsafe acts or non-compliance.
    • Good communication skills and ability to integrate with project management team and Contractor’s staff.
    • Review of Quality Management Documents for DWP Projects
    • Review Project Documents to ensure quality management requirements are covered

    Senior, Quality Engineer Services - Assurance & Controls

    Responsibilities

    • To monitor the offshore execution of the following activities to ensure that they are performed in line with procedure.
    • Inspect physical condition 2nos 16”X1500# ball valves before installation
    • Inspect the physical RTJ gaskets before installation
    • Monitor the installation of 2nos 16”X1500# ball valves compliance to procedure.
    • Confirm nuts and bolts are tightened to the right torque setting
    • Monitor the removal and installation of new Alternate Flame arrestor materials.
    • Confirm nuts and bolts are tightened to the right torque settings.
    • Inspect completed work for cleanliness and tightness
    • Monitor the welding activities for the replacement of corroded pipe supports.
    • Confirm quality of weld and coating application
    • Provide daily QAQC reports with pictures, observations and proposed corrective actions

    Qualifications

    Principal Technical Expert - Quality and Control

    Key Responsibilities

    • Controlling various activities for hot insulation works including review of project specifications, measuring necessary materials and supplies as well as scrutinizing applied insulation

    Manager Technical Expert, Quality Assurance and Control

    Job Description
    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement Project quality plan.
    • Ability to Interface with project coordinator on project.
    • QC inspection during fabrication of piping right from material identification stage, PMI, fit up, weld visual, NDT, clean build and hydrotesting.
    • He/she must be able to Manage quality during fabrication of manifold, pipeline end termination, SPM and assembly and testing of Christmas trees and ensure completion of project within cost and schedule.
    • Managing diverse work force of different nationalities.
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis for non-conformances of high criticality issues.
    • Ensure implementation of BBS (Behaviour Based Safety)

    Rig Site Safety Specialist

    Responsibilities

    • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISM, IMO, etc.) on all offshore operations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
    • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, OPITO BOSIET, HSE Management certifications, or equivalent offshore safety certifications.
    • 8 years of experience in HSE roles, with a strong focus on offshore rig platforms.
    • Proven experience as a Safety Specialist in international settings, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
    • Experience working in culturally diverse, expatriate environments is highly desirable.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory frameworks for offshore operations.
    • Familiarity with safety equipment, fire prevention systems, hazardous material handling, and emergency response protocols in an offshore setting.
    • Ability to use safety management software and systems for reporting and monitoring compliance.
    • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Capable of leading teams and driving safety initiatives.
    • Ability to work in demanding offshore conditions (e.g., long shifts, remote locations, confined spaces).
    • Willingness to relocate and work on international offshore assignments on a rotation basis (e.g., 28/28, 14/14).
