    Administrative Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with logistical arrangements for trainings, meetings, and field visits.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of programme activities and expenditures.
    • Undertake all supportive routine administrative duties as applicable to the office
    • Undertake supportive secretarial duties as applicable to the office (Typing, scanning etc)
    • Maintain good management and distribution of stationery and welfare items.
    • Keep and update stationery records and monitor stock situation.
    • Assist in organizing logistics during meetings and training.
    • Assist in keeping stock of stationery and reprint for restock.
    • Assist in filing of documents as may be directed and keep records of confidential information.
    • To raise request for purchases within the petty cash limit.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in education, disability inclusion, or community development, preferably in Northern Nigeria.
    • Experience working with children and youth with disabilities or marginalized groups is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of inclusive education and livelihoods programming, especially in low resource or conflict affected settings.
    • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and basic data collection tools.
    • Fluency in English and at least one local language spoken in North Western Nigeria.
    • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites within the region.

    Programme Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Support the design and delivery of inclusive education activities in target schools and communities.
    • Organize and deliver training sessions for teachers, school administrators, caregivers, and community members on inclusive education and child protection.
    • Collaborate with the livelihoods and Gender mainstream team in SCI to ensure inclusive approaches in skills development and vocational training for youth.

    Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with local education authorities, school management committees, parents, and community leaders to foster support for inclusive education and livelihood initiatives.
    • Conduct community sensitization and awareness campaigns on the rights and needs of children and youth with disabilities and other marginalized groups.
    • Build and maintain partnerships with relevant NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders in the region.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyse data on inclusive education and livelihood activities, ensuring disaggregation by gender, age, and disability.
    • Monitor progress against project objectives, targets, and indicators.
    • Prepare and submit timely and accurate activity, progress, and donor reports.

    Advocacy and Policy Support:

    • Support advocacy efforts for inclusive education and livelihood policies at local and state levels.
    • Contribute to the development and dissemination of advocacy, communication, and IEC materials.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or PGD in Education, Special Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in education, disability inclusion, or community development, preferably in Northern Nigeria.
