    Surveyor

    Summary

    • We are looking for an experienced and skilled Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting land, mining, and construction surveys, managing projects from start to finish.
    • This role is ideal for someone with a few years of experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and grow within the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct detailed land, mining and construction site surveys independently or as part of a team.
    • Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
    • Use advanced surveying instruments, including GPS, total stations, levels, and laser scanners, to collect precise data.
    • Perform topographical, boundary, and construction setting-out surveys.
    • Survey data and present findings to Executive Management and the mining team, providing expert advice where necessary.
    • Collaborate with the mining team to ensure alignment between survey data and mining requirements.
    • Supervise and mentor junior surveyors, providing guidance and training to develop their skills.
    • Manage multiple survey projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on all survey sites.
    • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all surveying equipment and tools.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in land surveying, construction surveying, or a related field.
    • Competency in working with surveying instruments such as total stations, Global Positioning Systems, and laser scanners.
    • In-depth Knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment.
    • Proficiency in the use of mapping software such as AutoCAD, GIS, Surfer, Excel, Matlab, and other relevant software in making and analyzing mine plans and maps is preferred
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
    • Good attention to detail and accuracy in work.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
    • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Head, Admin

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Admin team, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
    • Manage the functionality and upkeep of all office facilities, ensuring proper infrastructure, cleanliness, and security.
    • Supervise the use, maintenance, and documentation of company assets including vehicles, generators, and other equipment.
    • Ensure efficient power supply by managing generator usage, diesel procurement, and AEDC electricity monitoring.
    • Oversee and reconcile AEDC electricity bills and DStv subscriptions across office locations, ensuring timely payment and usage tracking.
    • Coordinate logistics, fleet management, driver schedules, and vehicle servicing.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and contract compliance.
    • Monitor and control administrative budgets and perform periodic reconciliation of expenses related to utilities and subscriptions.
    • Maintain an up-to-date asset register and ensure all administrative records are accurate and securely stored.
    • Provide monthly reports to management on administrative activities, costs, asset status, and vendor performance.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or HND in Public Administration, Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
    • A Master's degree or professional certification in office management or administration is a plus.
    • 8-10 years of progressive experience in administrative roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity overseeing administrative functions.
    • Experience in a fast-paced corporate environment is preferred.

    • Excellent vendor and utility provider negotiation and management skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office tools and basic accounting for reconciliations.

    Civil Engineer

    Responsibilities

    • Design and supervise the construction and maintenance of mine site infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, foundations, retaining walls, and site layout.
    • Conduct site surveys and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with geologists, HSE officers, and mining engineers to ensure infrastructure supports mining operations safely and efficiently.
    • Prepare technical drawings, construction plans, and bill of quantities (BOQ).
    • Manage contractors and ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
    • Identify potential risks and suggest engineering solutions to address them.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of all civil engineering projects and activities.
    • Ensure that all construction activities meet environmental and regulatory requirements

    Requirements and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
    • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is an advantage.
    • Relevant training in mining infrastructure design, project management, or construction safety is desirable.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering within a mining, construction, or heavy industrial environment.
    • Proven track record in designing and executing civil projects, preferably in open-pit or underground mining operations.
    • Experience in working with geotechnical reports, slope stability, and water management systems in mining environments is a strong advantage

    Key Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of civil design, construction standards, and materials in mining operations.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design and drafting tools.
    • Competent in using project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
    • Good understanding of geotechnical principles and soil mechanics.
    • Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards applicable to mining infrastructure.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
