Job Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to service requests and troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on a regular schedule
• Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering codes.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain components and parts of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of machine breakdown and correct the problem.
• Follow all Food Manufacturing rules and regulations including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of packaging and process machines.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of B.Sc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• Minimum of Two (2) years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the FMCG sector.
• Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
• Keep accurate production records
• Collaborate with other departments to improve production processes
• Train new employees on production processes and equipment

Requirements and Skills

• Associate Degree in a technical field (preferred)
• 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as needed
