Cyclofoss seeks a creative and diligent Content Editor who lives for taking and driving user engagement to a new level & always has editorial excellence, writing and web content on their brain. The Content Editor will produce a range of relevant, engaging, and unique editorial content for our online platform. The Role will research topics, develop an editorial production schedule, make writing assignments, proof-read, and rewrite content as necessary to meet aggressive online content publishing goals.
 
Key Duties
 
    The role will be editing all stories from freelance and staff writers, ensuring that all content is properly formatted and accurate.
    Producing new content and writing it in an interesting and appealing manner
    Sourcing images for the uploaded contents.
 
Required Skills
 
    Journalistic curiosity and energy
    Savvy about Web content trends
    Excellent grammar and punctuation skills
    Ability to write and edit copy under deadline
    Seasoned in editing articles for publication
    Knowledge of online publishing, including HTML, CSS formatting, Content Management Systems (CMS), photo editing, and use of video  will be an added advantage.
    Ability to balance several projects at once
    Knowledgeable in SEO and user-generated content will be an added advantage
    Efficiency, accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to details
 
Qualifications / Experience
 
    Candidates should have at least a graduate degree or HND in any discipline.
    Candidates should possess minimum of 2 - 5 years experience in media industry

Job Description
The Role is expected to design, develop and maintain Android, Blackberry and iPhone apps. The developer will lead the entire app lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support. Apps will be mainly content based and integrated closely with clients' web sites. Users of the apps are supposed to receive notifications through "push" technology whenever updates are made on the websites.
 
Requirements
 
    Candidate will be experienced in Android and IPhone platforms (Blackberry platform will be an added advantage), have object oriented design experience and understanding of one or more major relational database management system. Candidate must have an exceptional sense of modern web and user experience design, graphics, layout, transitions and feedback on the mobile platforms.
    3 years (or more) professional experience in software development.
    At least 1 years (or more) experience developing on a mobile platform, specifically iOS and/or Android.
    Proficiency working with object-oriented design, data structures, and complexity analysis
    Intimately familiar with iOS design patterns and coding conventions as well as Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store Review Guidelines
    Solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript development skills
    Solid experience with commonly used 3rd party libraries and services
    Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Objective-C, or C.
    Experience building mobile apps from project initialization to app store deployment.
    Experience with in-app purchase, push notifications, and the app submission process for either/both the Apple iTunes App Store and Google Play
    Experience with RESTful services and back end services including AWS services
    Team player with the ability and desire to become an integral part of a fast-paced team
    Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
    Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible and team-oriented environment.
    Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
