    Offshore Methods Engineer

    Job Description

    OFFSHORE METHODS ENGINEER

    • Be responsible for technical integrity and compliance with estimated costs and deadlines throughout the various engineering phases of the project.
    • Perform direct engineering tasks to guarantee the quality of the product for methods requirements.
    • The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.

    Tasks include:

    • Report to Offshore Method Lead
    • Draw up a general engineering schedule as stipulated by the contract to be revised by the Project.
    • Identify technical problems and make the necessary technical decisions within the limitations imposed by contractual requirements.
    • Draw up definitions and detailed specifications of tasks and sub-tasks or supervise their drafting by other resources if requested.
    • Define the materials or services to be purchased for engineering tasks within the allocated resource budget, in conjunction with his direct responsibility.
    • Approve all the technical designs necessary for the purchase and/or construction of products to be supplied to the Client.
    • Participate in meetings to examine and, if necessary, audit the technical design, and take part in technical examinations with the Client. Cost and scheduling decisions that influence contractual obligations or other functions must be approved by the Project Engineer (if any) and communicated to the Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
    • Notify his direct responsibility and the Project Manager of any problems occurring with any other engineering areas.
    • Perform all the engineering verifications and calculations necessary to implement the methodology.
    • Supervise and verify the drafting describing the methodology to be implemented.
    • Summarise and clarify in a manual all methodology activities, clearly identifying the showstoppers (if any). Transfer inside the manual all useful data derived by analyses performed by others.
    • Ensure that the operation people on board the vessel receive all useful data in reports, manuals, and drawings.
    • Follow-up activities offshore or in any construction place deemed necessary by the project.
    • All the above activities could be performed with different levels of deepness for Project or Bid assistance performance.
    • Participation to offshore activities with the role of field engineer, when requested both in the yards and offshore during the vessel operation camp 
    • Be responsible to verify equipment and materials.

    Sealine Engineer

    Role Description

    • Perform and/or supervise the correct execution of sealine design and installation analysis.
    • Learn/improve the knowledge and the use of the available software for pipeline design and installation analysis.
    • Learn/improve the capabilities in design and analysis.
    • The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.

    Tasks include:

    • Act as Project Specialist Leader (PSL) or Project Specialist (PS) for Sealine Design or Sealine Installation Analysis:
    • Perform all discipline analyses, technical reports, specifications,and drawings required to design the pipelinesystem and relevant components.
    • Assist with the selection of laying spread/methods, perform installation design analysis for the pipeline system, and define operational installation limits.
    • Verify subcontracted engineering.
    • Prepare technical specifications and requisition for material and services purchasing.
    • Oversee the bid evaluation and procurementphases.
    • Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute in updating Company standards
    • Review the Client’s technical documentation and requirements.
    • Prepare technical qualifications and contribute tothe definition of the technical proposal while bidding for EPCI and T and I contracts.
    • Contribute to update and improving the department tools for Sealine Engineering
    • Contribute to maintaining the excellence in Sealine Engineering
    • Contribute to defining, implementing, and improving the department quality system.
    • Contribute to the standardization and definition of procedures for the department working process.

    Field Instrumentation, Automation and Telecom Lead

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Correctly understand the Process & Instrument Diagrams
    • Operate on the instrumentation software packages to manage database (SPI and/or AVEVA) and/or on 3D modeling (SP3D e/o PDMS), coordinated by a more experienced resource
    • Elaborate independently installation designs documents, technical specifications, datasheets and for the various types of tools/analyzers/bulk material (see technical annex)
    • Fill in a technical tabulation based on the offers received from vendors
    • Evaluate the outputs of the calculation tools
    • Engineering Documents Red-mark and support FEM for As Built issue.
    • Technical Analysis of Engineering and Materials non-Conformities
    • Interface himself independently with the other engineering/construction disciplines and with the Instrumentation Superintendent/Supervisors, in order to identify optimized solutions from a technical/economical point of view.
    • Field Engineering Document Management
    • Management of Field Design Changes (FDC) and Advance Revision Notices (ARN)
    • Engineering activities and technical evaluation for Site Procurement of instruments/ bulk materials etc.
    • Solve independently various interdisciplinary issues that may occur during the site activities
    • Has full knowledge of the workflows, of the various phases of the Field construction and dynamics that characterize the plant engineering and the specialist engineering for tools/analyzers of a plant.
    • Management of Site Query and Site Instruction
    • Lesson Learned from field engineering activities
    • Already carried out coordination activities and able to manage independently the project team and promote teamwork, in full compliance with the schedule and the Project Engineering Man Hours and Cost budget

    Additional:

    • Work Schedule : Monday – Saturday, 10 hours per day, 240 hours per month. 
    • Location : Bonny , Rivers State
    • Contract duration : 12 months extendible

    Subsea Mechanical and Structural Engineer

    Tasks

    The Engineer executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements. With more than 8 years in OFF Shore Projects.

    Tasks include:

    • Review Client technical documentation and requirements
    • Maintain project technic al files and update Saipem standards
    • Control of subcontracted discipline engineering documents
    • Perform the engineering activities related with the assigned scope of work within the project
    • Ensure the timely availability of t he project documents and the implementation of the comments received by the Client
    • Ensure the implementation of the project design changes. Give to the subsea engineering leader the information relevant to the work progress for the preparation of the project control reports
    • Cooperate in the preparation of the operative procedures for the integration and testing of the whole electrical chain with the other equipment of the system
    • Cooperate with other specialists for the evaluation of the system performance
    • Cooperate in the preparation of specifications for subsea electrical chain components installation, test and maintenance
    • Prepare and issue the final updating of the technical documents for material purchasing
    • Prepare evaluation notes relevant to technical proposals received by suppliers
    • Prepare evaluation reports relevant to tests performed by suppliers both during qualification or construction phases
    • Assist the subsea engineering leader or the project engineering manager for solving technical problems arising during project development and for interfacing/supporting the Saipem procurement department
    • Prepare the section of competence of the final reports
    • Support the subsea engineering leader for the preparation of project schedules and manhours evaluation
    • Partecipate at the suppliers qualification process

    Operations Officer

    Job Summary:

    To ensure organisational effectiveness through the maintenance and sustainability of operational systems and effective reporting to relevant stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

    Effective analysis and reporting

    • Action/administer the structured schedule for all necessary reporting
    • Screen operational reporting needs to ensure quality
    • Generate and analyse reports to identify exceptions
