    Finance Assistant

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for varying diversified accounts payable and reporting functions.
    • S/He will assist in the accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including maintenance of the checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records, support the accountant in the review of all payment requests and determine the propriety and accuracy of all expenditures.
    • Also, s/he will ensure completeness of supporting documentation and coding in accordance with AHNi policies and procedures, supervise the preparation of payment vouchers; attaching supporting documentation and write checks and submit same for review by the accountant.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
    • Experience with administrative and secretarial skills
    • Sound accounting skills
    • Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.

    Senior Technical Officer - Prevention, Care & Treatment

    Job Description

    •  The STO – PCT will provide technical leadership and support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of programs for the General and Key population.
    • S/He will Work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of Anti-retroviral treatment, TB HIV services integration, PMTCT, KP services, care and support.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 5 to 6 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program.
    • Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in a related field is required.
    • Proven experience in project development, planning and facilitating technical training.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Assistant Technical Officer - Monitoring & Evaluation

    Location: Ikom, Cross River

    Job Description

    • Will support strengthening project and national M&E systems towards ensuring quality recording and reporting of project HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, RH/H IV, TB, HCT and other deliverables.
    • S/He will work with others and local implementing partners to ensure that the monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs in addition to keeping with the project’s dominant generalist operational ideology, the ATO will support the operations of other project thematic areas/units/departments as the need arises.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • Bachelor's Degree in any field (preferably Public Health) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation especially as it relates to ART, PMTCT, HCT, TB, SRH/FP, Pharmacy & Laboratory services, and Supply chain management.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs (in the health sector) is highly desirable.

    Technical Officer - Comprehensive HIV / TB Program

    Location: Ikom, Cross River

    Job Description

    • Will drive project implementation of prevention, care and treatment activities within the confines of Enhanced Site Management across supported facility and community settings in the Central Cluster, Ikom.
    • Provide technical and programmatic support to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) and other services including direct service provision support at facility-level based on the ongoing HIV and TB surge in the State.
    • S/He will provide support to sites in the state, including interacting with site Program Managers, M&E focal points, M&E officers of SACA/SASCP, other Implementing Agencies and local research groups on needs and ensuring that these parties understand and can support these requirements.
    • S/He will work with others in the State Office and Local Implementing Partners to ensure that State monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
    • Or MPH or MS/MA in relevant Degree with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.
    • Or BS / BA in Statistics, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Monitoring and Evaluation or in relevant Degree with 3 to 5 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation with a sound understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and anti-retroviral therapy (ART) in resource constrained settings.

    • Also, the successful Candidate will provide technical assistance in HIV/AIDS clinical management capacity building, PMTCT, RH/FP, TB and integrated medical services at the facility level and contribute to the development of lessons learned from programs and projects related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, RH/FP, TB and integrated medical services and apply these lessons to modify existing programs and improve the design of new programs.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 5 to 6 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS especially with ARV program

    • Will provide the required leadership to drive project implementation of prevention, care and treatment activities within the confines of Enhanced Site Management across supported facility and community settings.
    • S/He is responsible for providing technical and programmatic leadership to implement high quality comprehensive HIV/AIDS programs (ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, RH/HIV, and HTS) in line with the current World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations and national guidelines both at the OSS and through mobile ART sites, oversee clinical HIV treatment protocols in each supported health facility to reflect the needs of the clients and ensure consistency of treatment services throughout the supported facilities and at the community level, ensure a seamless delivery of service for clients at the facility and at the community level, as well as, review and assess client treatment protocols and plans, including short and long-term goals.
    • Also, s/he will review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of client care, develop concept papers and research papers to improve and/or extend existing studies in the management of HIV/AIDS activities, develop lessons learned from programs and projects related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, PMTCT, RH/FP, TB and integrated medical services and apply these lessons to modify existing programs and improve the design of new programs.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MB.BS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 5 to 7 years relevant experience with at least 5 years progressive experience working in the health or development field in Nigeria.

    Associate Director - Program Support

    Location: Cross River

    Job Description

    • Will work with the AHNi MD to develop annual work plans and budgets; create and support an effective team; provide technical guidance, support monitoring and evaluation; coordinate activities with sub-grantees and harmonize implementation with the teams in Central and Southern Cluster in Cross River. Liaise with government stakeholders, implementing partners and other programs within the state for collaboration and synergy.
    • Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments.
    • Manage diverse teams in complex environments, and deliver results within agreed timelines, and ensure activities meet stated goals and reporting requirements.
    • S/He is responsible for providing strong leadership, coordinate, monitor, track and report project progress and performances within the triple constraints of project implementation for enhanced output and outcome and consequent achievement of project goal and objectives in the State.
    • Also, s/he will provide programmatic assistance to local partners in programming HIV/AIDS/STI/TB, RH/FP and integrated clinical services activities, build the capacity of Staff on national procedures and project management tools and techniques, guiding implementation, USAID cost principles in compliance with all requirements and also prepare formal evaluation of assigned employees’ performance as scheduled and required.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MBBS / MD / PHD or similar Degree with 5-7 years relevant experience with international development programs which includes 5 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation at the community or state level working with public and NGO sectors.
    • MS / MA in Social Science, Public Health, Business Administration or related field, MPH preferred, and a minimum of 7-9 years relevant experience with international development programs which includes 7 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation at the community or state level working with public and NGO sectors
    • Or BS / BA in Social Science, Public Health, Business Administration or related field, with a minimum of 9 – 11 years relevant experience with international development programs which includes 7 years’ experience with HIV/AIDS program planning and implementation at the community or state level working with public and NGO sectors.
    • Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems, international donor organizations, NGOs and CBOs is required.
