    OTHER DUTIES

    • Designing, maintaining, implementing, and improving our electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems to specifications.
    • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
    • Conferring with our customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
    • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to SAO standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
    • Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
    • Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
    • Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential SAO electrical engineering projects.
    • Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
    • Supervising or training SAO project team members, estimating material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.
    • Maintaining our electrical equipment.
    • Creating plans and designs using CAD technology.
    • Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering degree from an accredited institution.
    • Licensed as a professional engineer.
    • Experience in using or a desire to learn the required software.
    • Knowledge of applicable codes related to electronic engineering.
    • Proficient in design and calculation software.

    OTHER DUTIES

    • Highly capable to manage construction projects.
    • Conducting land surveys, allocating resources, supervising multidisciplinary construction teams, and inspecting completed construction projects.
    • Possess extensive experience in managing large construction projects.
    • Ability to ensure adherence to construction specifications and standards.
    • Highly skilled in delivering completed projects within budget and on time.
    • Managing the planning and developing detailed design stages of our civil engineering projects.
    • Performing due diligence on the impact and feasibility of project sites.
    • Overseeing all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs.
    • Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades.
    • Designing and recommending improvements to computer-aided design (CAD) software drawings and schematics.
    • Performing cost estimations and preparing project budgets.
    • Preparing work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising other project team engineers, construction managers, workers, technicians, and contractors.
    • Ensuring that civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Inspect completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.
    • Documenting processes and presenting project progress updates to senior managers and clients.
    • Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
    • COREN Certified
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a civil engineer on similar projects.
    • Proficiency in civil engineering project management software, such as Civil 3D, map creation, Autodesk and CAD.
    • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes.
    • Great leadership, project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
    • Superb mathematical, time-management, and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time
    • Availability to perform construction site visits outside of business hours, when necessary.

    • Design, manufacture, and install components that fulfil work scope and project requirements.
    • Analyse mechanical problems or deficiencies on our various projects and develop solutions to resolve them.

    • Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD, CAM, and MATLAB/LabView programs.
    • Running simulations and analysing test data skill.

    OTHER DUTIES

    • Reviewing construction and projects plan and preparing their quantity requirements.
    • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
    • Liaising with project site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, research new materials for design and cost savings, and develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
    • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
    • Advising project managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
    • Create scopes of work, forecast upcoming demand, assist in settling invoice or contract disputes, and handle change order requests.
    • Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations.
    • Liaise with other members of the team to negotiate and agree on contracts and monitor the quality of service provided.

    • Must be COREN Registered. The candidate should have a strong reputation and Experience in road construction, design and construction of structures elements including casting, curing, transporting and assembling of the elements to position.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
    • Proven experience in project management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OZce.
    • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
    • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
