    Offshore Marine Superintendent

    Job Description

    • The Marine Superintendent provides expertise in the specialist field of marine engineering and operations to support Deepwater District marine activity as required by directives EP19, DGEP General Policy for Marine Operations, CR LSO 200 and Marine Operations Standards.
    • Technical assistance:
      • Schedule, plan, prepare, manage and supervise various offshore marine operations, and provide Company Marine Representation for marine engineering related equipment; liaising with Line Management and Client Departments as necessary. Advise Offshore Installation Managers for the Marines Operations (loading & unloading cargoes, transfer of pax...)
      • Provide Marine expertise to all departments offshore (Drilling, Projects and Production) concerning marine related activities
    • Monitor the operation of all Deepwater vessels.
    • Ensure all operations under Service holder’s supervision are conducted safely and within agreed SLA's.
    • Provide regular reports and updates to the Manager of Deepwater Marine regarding Marine Operations and Vessels’ status.

    Method:

    • Ensure the implementation and application of the COMPANY Marine procedures (guidelines on approach to Offshore installations, etc.), CMS and COMPANY HSE rules by Contractors
    • Assist with the development and propose revision of marine procedures in compliance with the Company CMS
    • Monitor and propose corrective actions to Marine related anomaly reports and vessels action trackers
    • Continually monitor the fast crew boat activities with referent Captains of the contractors.
    • Assist contractor Marine operations, procedure analysis and follow up of their application on site
      • Inspections/audit/condition
      • Conduct OVID inspections for COMPANY.
      • Conduct and/or organise Entry Permit
      • DP
        • Ensure Dynamic Positioning follow-up as well as DP audits for the Fleet of COMPANY.
        • TAMO CAMO for all DP vessels
        • DP annual trials
      • Assist with all marine auditing requirements, which includes auditing of a wide range of offshore vessels, such as MODU’s and DSV and other specialist vessels, and contractors’ management systems, ensuring full compliance with Company CMS
      • Inspect on Quarterly basis the boat landings and issue a comprehensive report regarding their conditions.
      • Conduct inspection of potential and contracted vessels and assessment of the crew
      • Provide feedback for Marine Contract Service Quality Meetings.

    Qualifications / Experience Required

    • Class 1 Master’s certificate (STCW95) for seagoing vessel
    • 10 years experience as Chief Officer and Captain on Offshore Vessels (AHTS, PSV, IMR) with Full DPO Certificate
    • Hold valid OVID inspector accreditation
    • Experience in organisation, planning of personnel transport & logistics
    • Proven record of achievement within marine operations.
    • Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English.

    Controls Engineer

    Work Tasks

    • Scope includes subsea and topside controls equipment
    • Responsible to ensure FEED engineering progress and close out with the assigned contractor alliance companies.
    • Acquire knowledge and familiarity with Egina Subsea Controls Systems.
    • Ensure FEED engineering carried out with full integration and compatibility with existing Egina Subsea Control System.
    • Review FEED engineering documentation for the relevant scope of work.
    • Liaise with COMPANY specialists within technical departments to ensure conformance proposed designs with, or for approval to derogate from, COMPANY specifications.
    • Participate in related workshops with FEED engineering project team and contractor alliances in order to finalize design.
    • Assist Controls Lead Engineer in the identification and management of risk associated with FEED engineering activities.
    • Participate in relevant technical workshops, resolution of interface design issues with packages and existing systems on Egina and related qualification activities.
    • Work closely with all other COMPANY team members and contractor alliance counterparts to ensure correct information is transmitted and fully aligned.
    • Report to Controls Lead Engineer on any issue.
    • Report progress of control system engineering activities to Subsea Controls Lead Engineer.

    • Technical Experience: Minimum 7 Years Subsea Control System Experience Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during similar type project execution is a distinct advantage. Previous experience with SPS contractor considered an advantage.
    • Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips.

    Pilot

    Job Descriptions

    • Responsible for the tanker movements on site and the transfer operations of hydrocarbons to or from the FPSO and
    • To or from the export tanker or vessel (Pilot, Berthing Master & tanker Loading Master).
    • Deputise for the Marine Superintendent position when the Marine Superintendent is absent from the FPSO.

    Scope of Work

    • Organises arrival/departure procedures for export tanker,
    • Pilots the export tanker to/from mooring point (loading buoy or tandem position),
    • In the event of an emergency, manages the off-load tanker securing or disconnection operations
    • Assists and provides marine advice when approaching and mooring the export tanker.
    • Inspects the export tanker, completes the HSE and Security check lists,
    • Inspection of site support vessels, when required,
    • Is authorised to stop or refuse berthing operations taking place,
    • Supervises tanker de-ballasting,
    • Is responsible for the application of HSE rules, international and National regulations codes and standards,
    • Ensure communication with FPSO are maintained during loading operation,
    • Checks volume calculations for exported batch,
    • Supervise the 1st Level corrective and preventive maintenance plan for all equipment associated with marine and logistic operations including Mooring equipment and tools, work boat, SBM equipment, tandem equipment
    • Responsible for spare part management of equipment associated with his duties.

    Job Requirements

    • Unlimited master STCW 95 Class 1 Certificate (Deck) with tanker advance training.
    • Bridge Resources Management certificate or equivalent
    • A minimum of 10 years service on an oil tanker VLCC, FSO or FPSO with 3 years as master or chief officer or harbour pilot, with experience of tandem and buoy approaches

    Systems Engineer

    Job Description
    The duties of the Systems Engineer are summarized as follows:-

    • Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to FEED Technical Manager on any deviation.
    • Liaison with Company specialists within technical departments to ensure conformance of the Contractors’ proposed designs with, or for approval to derogate from, Company specifications.
    • Be the Leader for all PREOWEI Systems Engineering related documentation, consolidating comments within PRODOM in accordance with the Contract and Work Time Schedule ensuring consistency with Contract Specifications and requirements.
    • Liaise with other Project disciplines to ensure that internal Interfaces and transverse technical requirements are incorporated into the Project Design documentation.
    • Actively participate in any technical Interface workshops and assist in resolving Interface Design issues between Packages in the Project.
    • Have oversight of Design activities such as HAZOP/HAZID, following up the actions that generated, and ensuring that they are closed-out. Have oversight of all the Studies that will lead to (and including) the generation of System Engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, Operability, and Reliability Reports.
    • Oversee the finalization of the Field Layout, and Drill Centre Layouts, leading to the development of FEED Field Layout drawings and Schematics, Drill Centre Layout drawings for the Production, and Water Injection Drill Centres respectively.
    • Liaise with the relevant coordinating entity (GSR) to ensure that the FEED Contractors have sufficient PREOWEI Soil data and Reports to enable them propose Foundation solutions for their respective Subsea Structures.
    • Have a global oversight of all Qualification activities, liaising with the relevant Company Disciplines directly involved in the various Qualification Programs, to ensure that Equipment and Systems being Qualified reach the required TRLs before the EPC Phase of the Project.
    • Be responsible for the Material selection and Corrosion Control philosophy such that the Materials selection and Corrosion Control specifications are fit for purpose.
    • Report Systems engineering progress regularly, formally through weekly and monthly reports, to the FEED Technical Manager.
    • Assist in the resolution of Technical related Queries from the Contractors. Review proposed deviations and give recommendation for project management approval.
    • Organize and/or represent Company for System related Reviews/Matters with the various Contractors, Company Teams as may be necessary.
    • Assist in evaluating the responses to the CCFT, in preparation to the Recommendation To Award (RTA).
    • Contribute to continuous compilation of lessons learned for conversion into Project Feedback and for use in compilation of Close-Out Report.
    • Produce Close-out Report for Systems Engineering related activities.

    HSE:

    • Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowline (URF) Systems. Demonstrable knowledge of intra discipline Interfaces.
    • Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during FEED and Detail Engineering phase is an advantage.
    • Mobility: Placement is in Lagos, Nigeria at Company’s location, with frequent visits to the various Contractors’ offices, and the potential for international trips.
    • Language: Fluency in English language.

    Lead Umbilicals Engineer

    Job Description

    • During the CCFT FEED, the Umbilicals/Flexibles Engineer will be part of the TUPNI Project team who will oversee the execution of the CCFT FEED, specifically assisting the Pipelines & Umbilicals Leader on all technical matters related to Umbilicals, and Flexibles (and associated ancillaries) design activities performed by all the CCFT FEED Contractor Alliances.

    He will be responsible for:

    • Reviewing all relevant Engineering documents, which typically includes cross section design, dynamic analyses, installation analyses, components design (steel tubes, armours, carcass, polymer sheathes, electrical cables, fibre optics, etc ...),flexibles / umbilicals mechanical characteristics and capacities validation, manufacturing analyses, fatigue analyses, transportation analysis, pre-commissioning analysis, umbilical ancillaries design (Bend Stiffeners, Bend Restrictors, Topsides and Subsea Termination/Interface Hardware etc.)
    • Assisting, as may be necessary, in Qualification activities pertaining to the relevant umbilical/flexible components of the flowline electrical heating system, involving, review of Contractor’s existing qualification dossiers as well as new dossiers specifically generated for PREOWEI such as classical analyses, FEA’s, and also small and full scale physical testings/analyses to qualify the flowline electrical heating system within the background of PREOWEI functional requirements and environment;
    • Assisting in resolution of interface issues as necessary, such as umbilical/flexible terminations design, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, commissioning etc.
    • Assisting in analysis of Contractor technical queries and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these queries
    • Ensuring that Engineering activities are performed in line with CCFT FEED Contract requirements and Project Specifications
    • Ensuring that Engineering activities are performed in line with TOTAL general specifications and issue proper derogations, if required
    • Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during design
    • Liaising with other Team engineers to ensure technical consistency of all interfacing systems constituting the PREOWEI development as well as the existing EGINA facilities.
    • Getting assistance from TOTAL Specialists, or third parties, if required, for specific topics (such as geotechnics,hydrodynamics, structural, material & welding, corrosion & coating, etc ...)
    • Getting feedback from other deepwater projects on flexible and umbilicals systems
    • Participating in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews etc …)
    • Assisting as necessary, concerning Umbilicals/Flexibles (and associated ancillaries), in the preparation of the technical aspects of the EPCI Contract.
    • Other tasks as assigned by hierarchy.

    HSE:

    • To ensure that all safety and environmental required studies will be reviewed/updated and that final design will comply with ALARP policy.
    • To ensure that design will comply with all HSE requirements and that Safety and Environment dossiers will be provided to National Authorities in due time.
    • To demonstrate leadership for implementation of Company requirements on technological risks management.
    • To ensure that all recommendations from safety studies and technical reviews are fully addressed in the design.

    Accountabilities:

    • Reports directly to the SURF Engineering Leader
    • Accountable for Umbilical and flexibles design engineering and interface with SPS and other packages within the project.

    Necessary Profile

    • Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline MANDATORY (copy of certificate to be provided) with MSc or equivalent. Depending on experience, candidates with BSc may be also given consideration
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in flexibles / umbilicals engineering (and associated ancillaries) for deepwater projects with demonstrable engineering aptitude.
    • Excellent knowledge of international flexibles/umbilicals design codes / standards (API/ ISO series in particular) and TOTAL general specifications
    • Good sense of organization, ability to identify critical aspects, to summarize and present complex design issues
    • Some basic knowledge in electrical / fibre optic cables, material, corrosion, coatings and hydrodynamics will bealso valuable
    • Some basic knowledge in flow-assurance will be also valuable
    • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to work efficiently, prioritize in a fast-paced project and meet schedule requirements.
    • Prior experience in the power cables/umbilicals (MV or LV) aspects of pipeline electrical heating technologies (ETH-PIP or DEH-Wet insulation) is a plus.

    IWOCS Engineer

    Job Description

    • Organize regular meetings with IWOCS systems Engineers to ensure FEED engineering progress and close out with all contractor alliance companies.
    • Comment on all IWOCS Systems related documentation within Prodom in accordance with the Contract and Work Time Schedule ensuring consistency with COMPANY’s Specifications and requirements.
    • Act as Leader for specific documents, as agreed with IWOCS Lead Engineer and dependent upon area of individual specialisation, consolidating comments from other reviewers.
    • Technical advisor to the SPS package on drilling constraints, approaches, design and so on that might affect SPS package
    • Provide technical support to XT/Wellhead Engineer to ensure seamless design and installation
    • Liaise with other disciplines and Packages to ensure cross-package conformity of designs
    • Liaise with COMPANY specialists within technical departments to ensure conformance proposed designs with, or for approval to derogate from, COMPANY specifications.
    • Participate in relevant technical workshops, resolution of interface design issues with packages and existing systems on the Egina and related qualification activities.
    • Identify and manage risk associated with FEED engineering activities.
    • Participate in relevant technical workshops and in resolution of interface design issues between Preowei subsea technical teams, project packages and Egina field operations.
    • Work closely with other COMPANY team members and contractor alliance counterparts to ensure correct information is transmitted and fully aligned.
    • To coordinate the Engineering activities during the FEED phase, in conformity with TOTAL specifications and HSE rules, and within the agreed budget, schedule and the SOR.
    • Act as drilling interface engineer within the project and interface with Deepwater drilling and completions department to ensure synergy with operations and equipment design is done in accordance with standard operational practices.
    • Responsible for validating the equipment qualification status (procedure / programme / report) and shall remain, during the FEED studies, the correspondent for any engineering problem occurring, for any advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
    • May participate in the development of Project Management main documents (FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) for URF/SPS matters.
    • Report progress of IWOCS & SPS/Drilling interface engineering activities to IWOCS/XT Lead Engineer.
    • Maintain a good and respectful working attitude and good team spirit

    • Responsible for ensuring that the IWOCS will be fit for purpose, operable, maintainable and reliable

    • Education: First degree in relevant Engineering Discipline. Master degree or an equivalent is an advantage
    • Expertise: Subsea Wellhead and XT Systems Engineering & FEED Experience, Detailed Knowledge of API 6A, 17D & ISO 13628-4-7 & ISO 10423
    • Technical Experience: Minimum 10 Years Subsea Wellhead & XT systems Engineering Experience
