    Stakeholder & Communications Specialist

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • The Stakeholder & Communications Specialist will serve as the primary bridge between the Hub and its diverse ecosystem. The candidate will mobilise resources and align interests by formalising relationships with government agencies, donors, private-sector entities, and civil society. Additionally, you will drive the Hub’s narrative, ensuring that the responsible, inclusive, and impactful vision is effectively communicated to all audiences.
    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES/KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Partnership Management: Build and sustain relationships with key partners (Gates Foundation,
    • Government, Tech Giants) to ensure alignment with national policy and the Hub’s strategic priorities.
    • Ecosystem Engagement: Facilitate the multi-stakeholder partnership framework, ensuring active participation from the diverse stakeholder groups that attended the Visioning Workshop.
    • Strategic Communications: Develop and execute a communications strategy that highlights the Hub’s impact on national priorities (e.g., maternal health, education).
    • Resource Mobilisation: Support the Hub Director in engaging funders and donors by articulating value propositions and impact stories.
    • Event & Workshop Coordination: Lead the organisation of high-level stakeholder convenings, similar to the Abuja Visioning Workshop, to maintain ecosystem momentum.

    THE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED ARE:

    • Strategic Storytelling: The ability to translate complex technical AI concepts into compelling narratives for non-technical policymakers and donors.
    • Political Savvy & Diplomacy: High emotional intelligence to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
    • between government, academia, and the private sector.
    • Crisis Communication: Ability to manage sensitive information and mitigate reputational risks in a high-visibility project.
    • Cross-Sector Fluency: The ability to speak the “languages” of both the development sector (impact,
    • theory of change) and the corporate sector (ROI, scalability).
    • Experience in corporate communications, public relations, or stakeholder management within a development or technology context.
    • Strong writing skills for drafting policy briefs, press releases, and donor reports.

    Enabler Coordination Lead (Private Sector)

    Qualification and Experience:

    The Enabler Coordination Lead (Private Sector) is responsible for addressing the critical gaps in high-performance computing and talent deficiencies identified in the blueprint. The candidate will secure and manage access to technical infrastructure and expertise by partnering with technology providers and industry associations. The candidates will be responsible for the following:

    • Negotiate and coordinate access to high-performance computing (HPC) resources and cloud infrastructure for Hub pilot projects.
    • Act as the liaison for technology providers (e.g., cloud providers, AI labs), infrastructure partners, and industry associations.
    • Collaborate with private sector entities to unlock access to proprietary datasets required for training AI models in priority use cases.
    • Coordinate with industry partners to provide technical mentorship and implementation strengthening for the Hub’s pilot solutions.
    • Work with venture capital and private equity networks to define scale support pathways for successful AI solutions exiting the pilot phase.

    The candidate should possess the following competencies:

    • Technical Fluency: A strong grasp of the AI infrastructure stack (Cloud, GPU computing, APIs) to effectively negotiate with tech providers.
    • Deal Structuring: Competence in drafting and managing MoUs, SLAs, and partnership agreements with corporate entities.
    • Network Orchestration: The ability to connect disparate actors (e.g., a local startup needing computing from a global cloud provider) to create value.
    • Commercial Acumen: Understanding market dynamics to ensure solutions are commercially viable for private sector adoption.

    Enabler Coordination Lead (Public Sector)

    The Enabler Coordination Lead (Public Sector) focuses on the regulatory and policy environment. The candidate will work to operationalise the National AI Strategy by engaging regulators and government agencies to create an enabling environment for responsible AI adoption. The candidates will be responsible for the following:

    • Engage with regulators to shape frameworks for “responsible by design” AI adoption.
    • Act as the liaison for government agencies to ensure Hub activities align with National Policy.
    • Negotiate access to government-held datasets essential for high-impact use cases (e.g., health, education).
    • Translate insights from Hub pilots into policy recommendations.

    The candidates should possess the following competencies:

    • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Nigeria’s data protection laws (NDPR), digital economy policies, and public sector operations.
    • Stakeholder Mapping: Ability to identify key decision-makers and influencers within the public sector bureaucracy.
    • Patience & Persistence: The resilience to navigate slow-moving bureaucratic processes while maintaining project momentum.
    • Policy Analysis: The ability to interpret legislation and draft coherent policy briefs that support the Hub’s objectives.
    • Experience in public policy, government relations, or regulatory affairs.
    • Understanding of Nigeria’s digital economy policy landscape.
