    Assistant, Medical Program

    JOB SUMMARY  

    • The Assistant, Medical Program is responsible for the implementation of health care programs through supervision, technical oversight, and coordination working closely with other health staff, IMC departments, and relevant partner agencies.

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Technical Support

    • Support timely delivery of program components according to proposed activities, work plan, agreed deliverables and available resources.
    • Provide support to ensure quality programming implementation related to primary health care, reproductive health, vaccination, nutrition, early warning systems, outbreak response, rational drug use, medical supply chain management, according to IMC and global standards and package of healthcare.

    • Support the supervisors on health facility assessments, data quality assurance, analysis and interpretation of data and other relevant subjects related to program management. 
    • Work closely with team members to undertake ongoing assessments of population needs and adapt the program interventions accordingly.
    • Ensure patient safeguarding at IMC supported health facilities.

    Reporting 

    • Ensure that data collected through the health facilities are in line with IMC’s internal monitoring and evaluation system as well as comply with donor expectations.
    • Regularly collect, consolidate, and summarize field reports using data collected, providing relevant analysis and interpretation on morbidity trends. 
    • Prepare relevant activity documents to include training, supervisory and site visit reports.
    • Contribute to any reports requested by the supervisor. 

    Coordination 

    • Coordinate with team members and supervisor and with other program departments to ensure integrated implementation of services.
    • Coordinate movement plans to field locations with other departments to ensure best use of IMC resources.

    Training  

    • Support regular training activities including case studies, morbidity, or mortality reviews for health staff. 
    • Assist and prepare training plan and documents with supervisor to ensure timely preparation for needed resources, assistant in timely conduction of trainings and support developing training reports.  
    • Actively participate in training relevant to his/her position and career interest.
    • Attend relevant trainings relevant to his/her position suggested by the organization.

    Security 

    • Understand International Medical Corps' local security regulations, document and address breaches of policy and disciplinary issues in coordination with the supervisor and report to security team. 

    Job Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Typically, a medical assistant. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
    • 1+ years of technical supervisory experience within the health care system will be preferred.
    • At least 2 years of experience as medical assistant in a health facility.
    • Previous experience working for an international NGO will be preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.

    JOB SUMMARY 

    • The Supervisor, GBV Casework will ensure quality provision of GBV case management and psychosocial support services to GBV survivors to conflict-affected and displaced women and girls and survivors of GBV.     Medical Doctor (National)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • The National Medical Doctor is responsible for overall patient care including promotion of the health and safety of patients by conducting a thorough triage, careful history taking, physical examination, essential laboratory/radiology investigations, diagnoses, treatment, and referral as well as education of patients and their care giver.

    • Typically, a medical degree (primary care physician) with a valid license to practice and be board certified or equivalent (board eligible).
    • Typically, 2+ years of relevant clinical work, post graduate medical experience after graduating from medical college, work in low-resource settings preferred.

    GBV Caseworker

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • The GBV Caseworker will be responsible for providing direct support, including GBV case management and psychosocial support services, to vulnerable women and girls and survivors of GBV.

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Service Provision 

    • Provide age-appropriate and survivor-centred GBV Case Management services to survivors of GBV and vulnerable women and girls, in line with the Inter Agency GBV Case Management Guidelines, including assessment of survivor’s needs; basic counselling; support to develop and implement a care plan; support to develop and implement a safety plan; and support to access services additional services in line with clients’ wishes. 
    • Coordinate closely with the Casework Supervisor and seek support when required  
    • Provide information on available services and support survivors’ informed choices through referral, accompaniment, service coordination and follow up, and participation in referral systems/pathways.  
    • Distribute emergency cash and material assistance based on individual needs assessments and in line with established protocols 
    • Participate in regular case review meetings and coaching sessions 

    Monitoring and Reporting 

    • Seek feedback from clients and adapt services accordingly  
    • Support post-distribution monitoring  
    • Carefully document service provision and maintain case files  
    • Adhere to strict data protection and information-sharing protocols to protect the privacy, confidentiality, and safety of survivors 

    Coordination, Advocacy and Representation 

    • Develop and maintain contact with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and other humanitarian partners and service providers. 
    • Coordinate with other service providers and community focal points to strengthen access to services and build support for survivors 
    • Organize case management meetings, as required, with other service providers 
    • Coordinate with MHPSS, child protection, health, and other sectors to strengthen integration and referrals 
    • Represent program goals and GBV standards  

    Security and Conduct 

    • Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies 
    • Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all GBV staff and partners 
    • Exemplify core principles of GBV programming, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, nonviolence, and promotion of gender equality  
    • Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, notably through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with anti-harassment, safeguarding and PSEA policies

    Officer, Food Security & Livelihood

    JOB SUMMARY:  

    • The purpose of this role is to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of food security projects in country mission.
    • The implementation of early recovery program will facilitate the ground for transitions to development programs.

    MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct rapid assessment to identify locations of operational and food security needs.
    • Lead the process of beneficiary selection as per the criteria set by the project in collaboration with local administrations and community representatives.
    • Implement FSL project as per the timeframe, budget and resources set and implement the project within the specified parameters.
    • Actively participate in conducting the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) in collaboration with the M&E Staff.
    • Actively engage in formation of local committees and community mobilization.
    • Facilitate and provide community training in collaboration with relevant line requirements of authorities, donors, and internal guidelines.
    • Involve in planning and providing capacity building activities with nutrition team.
    • Maximize the nutritional sensitivity of the project by working closely with nutrition program team where applicable.
    • Provide capacity building and backstopping to field assistants/volunteers. 
    • Prepare and submit regular internal reports on all food security/livelihood activities and prepare external reports as per the donor format.
    • Implement seed and tools voucher and fair programs, beekeeping, livestock, high value fruit tree as early recovery means for food security and livelihoods. 
    • Build capacity of beneficiaries of food security related activities, advise backyard gardening beneficiaries and conduct scheduled regular visits to their farms.
    • Conduct market assessment and identify potential vendors for voucher fair program.
    • Participate in food security & livelihoods related assessment missions with other stakeholders in the area representing International Medical Corps.
    • Actively represent International Medical Corps in food security and livelihoods cluster and early recovery coordination meetings as directed.
    • Capture lessons learnt from monitoring and evaluations, document success stories, replicate successful projects and scale up. 
    • Understand the gaps in food security and come up with project ideas, write concept notes and share with technical supervisor and base manager. 
    • If required, support HR and FLS team the process of national staff recruitment and induction of new hires.
    • Work with M&E team to develop monitoring tool, sending weekly updates to FSL Advisor, follow up closely and update the team if the situation in the ground is changing quickly.
    • Mentor and support FSL Assistants as required.

    Job Requirements

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Typically, Veterinary degree or BSc in Agriculture. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
    • An up-to-date understanding of food security, emergency response, early recovery, food security and livelihoods concepts. 
    • Familiarity with design and programming processes of different donors 
    • Proficient analytical skills that demonstrate an understanding of the current concepts, priorities, and issues in program monitoring, data collection and evaluation. 
    • Skills in technical proposal writing, designing, and implementing food security programs.
    • Ability to exhibit tact, diplomacy, and resourcefulness in dealing with high level officials from donor agencies, international organizations, and other foreign and domestic government officials and partners.  
    • Must have excellent English written and oral communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments within International Medical Corps, donors, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector.
