Responsibilities

• Manage small scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and cost saving/sustainable manner without compromising quality delivery.
• Ability to read and interprete drawings correctly.
• Identify, analyze and develop responses to potential risks and problems that may arise from a task.
• Accurately estimate quantities of materials and labour cost required for an assigned task.
• Extensive knowledge of cost saving Construction practices.
• Thorough understanding of different construction methodology.
• Ensure that the project is delivered within agreed timelines, specification and cost

Qualifications

• First Degree / HND / B.Tech in Building or any related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Building and Construction.
• Registration with COREN or CORBON will be an advantage
• Proven work experience in the building Industry is compulsory
• Good grasp of material planning and scheduling
• On-site construction planning and management
• Excellent Time management skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Solid organizational skills including attention to details
• Excellent oral, written communication skills and Presentation skills
• A good understanding of HSE duties. HSE Qualification/Certification will be an added advantage
• Liaise with the client’s representative, consultants and leadership of the community where a project is sited.
• Report to the General Manager Operations
• Prepare and submit weekly schedules of works and monthly reports.

Responsibilities

• Price/forecast the cost of the different materials and labour needed for a project
• Prepare tender documents, contracts budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
• Prepare interim statement/valuation for work done on a project.
• Carry out market survey at a scheduled duration to monitor cost.
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of a project
• Measure and value the work done on site
• Raise valuation to pay subcontractors
• Liaise with other construction professionals, such as site engineers, project supervisors and architect
• Report to the General Manager Operations
• Prepare and submit monthly reports.

Qualifications

• First Degree / HND in Quantity Survey from reputable institution
• 5 years working experience
• Membership of NIQS and Registration with QSRBN will be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Mathematics is required.
• Must be thorough and attentive to detail.
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
• Sound knowledge of safe building and construction practices
• The ability to use initiative to make judgement call.
