The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing inventory management, procurement, logistics, and warehousing for our entire network of schools across Nigeria and the support offices.
You will be responsible for ensuring every school has adequate supplies as school staff are supported by being provided with the correct tech assets, learning materials and teaching supplies; For ensuring uniforms, and any other products are provided in a timely manner to parents who purchase them; And for both our Academies & Government Partnership schools - products are delivered in a timely manner, an accurate count of all learning materials and supplies is maintained;
This is a high-impact role for someone who loves taking on challenges - we support thousands of schools across Nigeria.
What You Will Do
- You will lead the charge to ensure we are getting the best pricing, that our goods are transported efficiently and cleanly, and that our warehousing activities are highly organised and architected for growth and rapid change.
- You will be building a world-class Supply Chain platform - and that requires you to be a hands-on leader who effectively manages a large, multi-functional team and proactively dives into the nitty gritty to improve processes and systems. You will need to be tough but fair to ensure that we build a zero-tolerance environment for any fraud and leakage. You will train, develop, and mentor your team, and provide clear, constructive feedback where necessary.
- You must be a team player - Supply Chain is deeply integrated with Operations groups, and you will interact with other teams frequently. You are singularly focused on building a better NewGlobe, regardless your title or department designation.
What You Should Have
- Strong background in Supply Chain management; deep knowledge of procurement, warehousing, logistics best practices. Experience is service industry will be ideal.
- At least 5+ years of post-undergraduate full time work experience in a highly operational supply chain at a company that grown rapidly
- Work experience in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands and priorities. .
- Experience in process design, development and implementation
- Strong analytical skills and extensive experience in providing actionable insight to data
- Experience in working in a matrix environment and serving several internal customers

You will be a passionate storyteller and have experience in visual communications across multiple channels including digital and non-digital platforms.

What You Will Do
- Support end-to-end development of communications campaigns, projects and deliverables, including executing communications strategy, writing/editing content, designing material for digital and print, photography, videography, editing of photos and videos, content management tools including google based intranet, graphic design and periodic updates of the intranet.
- Support the development and implementation of communication strategies, including general communications and employee-focused communications, in line with the organization’s vision, strategy and values.
- Maintain Internal communication channels, adapting and improving them in line with organisational goals
- Help drive and execute internal communications (intranet, social media, email/text campaigns, sendinblue, word press, meltwater, google analytics, zoom etc.). As needed and in association with Information Technology (IT), help develop and implement an intranet/digital workplace that meets the communications needs of key internal stakeholders.

What You Should Have
- Minimum first degree in Communications or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design and Video Editing and Marketing Communications

- Experience in digital communications including intranet, video editing, email marketing tools, analytics
- Experience in executing virtual and physical company events including webinars, town halls and other events

The ideal candidate is a multifaceted individual who will work closely with the VP, New Opportunities, as support and deputy to gain knowledge on how to launch and run a business. As a co-strategist, implementer, and trusted advisor, the successful candidate will lead execution of operational and strategic initiatives for the VP, New Opportunities and the rest of the New Opportunities team. This includes during multiple co-current launches across different countries, the role of being deputised to lead a specific launch. This is a highly operational hands-on and analytical role, involving intense programme and people management and broad technical knowledge covering the entire business of launching a start-up in a new market: from project management, legal, teacher training and academics to operations, supply chain and people operations. The Senior Director, New Opportunities should have a proven track record of exceptional performance leading start-ups during a launch phase, or similar strategic initiatives and projects to completion.
What You Will Do
- Act as one of the deputy leaders on the New Opportunities team, support, and potentially oversee entire launches, programmes, projects and budgets
- Provide leadership on both strategic and operational delivery
- Operationally own and maintain the key documentation around launch programming, including but not limited to: ‘launch playbooks’, work plans, gantt charts, checklists and systems write-ups

What You Should Have
- Bachelor’s degree essential, MBA (or Master’s) would be preferred.
- At least 9 years of progressively responsible experience working in project management and design in developing countries, preferably including experience in the state or country to which you will be assigned.
- At least 4 years of management experience, including direct supervision of professional and support staff and assembling teams working in multi-faceted roles including field based roles.
- A proven track record of excelling in the leadership of operational teams, as well as in design-thinking, process and system design and application, managing complex and inter-related functions, as this will be critical overseeing a large scale school system transformation.
- Prior experience within a fast-paced, high-growth, metric-driven operational organization will be an advantage.
