    Maintenance Engineers

    Job Summary

    This position has the following responsibilities; TO Lead equipment maintenance, ensure optimal equipment performance at the project and all times. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the Maintenance to effectively support Asset reliability/availability in successful project delivery.

    Job Details

    Leadership

    • Have general overview of the repair, overhaul, and modification of vehicles and equipment within the DIVISION 
    • Collate required data on the activities of their team which includes but not limited to availability and reliability of equipment under them, issue all applicable reports and utilize the reports to effect improvements on equipment availability
    • Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for their team 
    • Ensures the quality of work meets the required standard and improves on the mean time between failures of repaired equipment.
    • Supervise the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
    • Carry out periodic maintenance audit.
    • Provide positive and professional leadership to Operations and Technical staff in the Oilserv Group
    • Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time.

    Core/Technical

    • Exercise significantly more judgment and independence in determining the methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems.
    • Plan and improvise repair procedures, find ways to mechanically and physically adapt or alter items to fit and mesh into systems for which the items were not specifically designed, or find ways to diagnose and correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give the desired results
    • Independently determines work methods, sequences, tools, and equipment to use in making the extensive and complex repairs to the vehicles and equipment.
    • Select and comply with technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications according to specifications and procedures 
    • Provide advice on repair, overhaul, and modification of Company vehicles and equipment.
    • Recommend modifications of existing equipment and facilities and the possible replacement of existing equipment which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
    • Undertake  periodic measurement  of divisional   KPIs and  initiate  actions to   re-align  the KPIs  to  the divisional objectives.
    • Determine the cause of malfunctions and advice the Foreman towards the repairs of a variety of heavy mobile equipment and vehicles, such as bulldozers, graders, excavators and similar heavy construction and earth moving vehicles; mobile cranes; heavy equipment; and heavy special purpose vehicles which have mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems. 
    • Maintain job work orders; keep record of labor; material, parts, supplies and other records necessary in the repair and maintenance process; control and release of serviced and repair vehicles

    Requirements

    • HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    • 5 - 10 years’ experience in Asset maintenance / management

    Spare Parts Store Officer

    Job Summary

    Efficient and effective understanding of spare parts, ability to read and understand parts catalogue for different categories of equipment to achieve uncompromised maintenance and equipment reliability aimed at maximizing productivity.

    Job Details

    • Principle contact and liaison between the maintenance DIVISION and  materials department of Spare Parts identification and reorder level.
    • Review all planned work request from assigned area and determine validity    and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority. 
    • Oversees computerized parts catalog system and maintains a running inventory of regular and special-order parts and supplies. 
    • Identify and assist to Dispenses parts to service mechanics. 
    • Identifies optimum sources for replacement parts and assemblies. 
    • Purchases standard items. 
    • Receives and inspects incoming shipments for correct quantity and quality of materials.  
    • Obtains quotes on major expenditures and obtains approval for nonroutine purchases. 
    • Maintains knowledge of pricing, changes in parts, and technical service bulletins through collaboration with sales and other company staff. 
    • Reviews work request for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper authorization, and discuss details with originator of the work order 
    • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database 
    • Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment 
    • Purchase all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work 
    • Identifies and secures all parts and material required to complete the work by providing stores a Bill of Material for the work order 
    • Works with Maintenance leads, to determine resource availability and work to level the work force. 
    • Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for the team 

    Requirements

    • 3 - 10 Years’ experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Heavy Duty Equipment.

    Diagnostic Engineer

    Job Summary

    Provides exceptional Earth Moving Equipment servicing and repair by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues. Completes repairs in time allotted while keeping to dealer, brand, and company standards, and delivers vehicles to customers or service advisors on schedule.

    Job Details

    • Diagnoses and repairs equipment/vehicles accurately and within a reasonable time frame and with a quality of work that exceeds customer expectations.
    • Performs diagnostic work accurately according to daily work orders as received from any manager including: emission control systems; throttle body injection; electrical problems on computerized vehicles; conditions between computer, ignition, and mechanical problems; anti-lock brake systems; cruise control; all non-computerized accessories; drivability problems; on-board computer problems; import fuel injection; import ignition on computerized vehicles; auto transmissions; computerized A/C systems; and four wheel drive internal components.
    • Knows, understands, and performs all duties of the Repair Technician and Maintenance Technician jobs.
    • Observes and follows all necessary safety regulations when operating machinery, equipment and tools. 
    • Conversant with the use of Diagnostic Tools (ET, SIS, EPC etc)
    • Perform work of other members of the service department if business necessitates.
    • Perform any other duties either necessary for customer service or perceived by or assigned to the job. 
    • Performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of Equipment/vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints
    • Tests Equipment/vehicle repairs and communicates issues to service manager and service advisors; conduct additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors
    • Uses manufacturer diagnostic equipment/tools  to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
    • Maintains a working knowledge of a diverse number of motor vehicles Equipment and works to enhance and improve that knowledge with new vehicle Equipment models and new industry standards, practices, and technologies
    • Replaces parts and components and keep detailed, organized records of all repair work done on each vehicle/Equipment
    • Keeps work area clean, neat, and to company standards, especially to ensure safety of all team members Communicates with service managers about parts ordered, parts required, and timeliness of order completion
    • Advises on other issues Equipment/vehicles display, including common issues equipment/vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs.

    Requirements

    • 7 - 10 Years’ experience in the Diagnosis, maintenance, repair and overhaul of Heavy Duty Equipment.
