    Sourcing Associate, Fresh/Frozen

    Job Objective

    The Sourcing Associate will be responsible for the inventory management of our controlled ecommerce grocery supply and our dark store supply. He will be working with the commercial teams to ensure correct inventory levels at all times - creating POs, matching inventory to demand, working with the supplier to adjust PO, working with Jumia Services to inbound stock in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Making sure POs are raised and sent to the suppliers in due time with the right quantities.
    • ​Following up on stock received, inbounded.
    • ​Contributing to the automation of our replenishment processes (automatic PO, etc).
    • ​Ensuring there is a steady flow between our main warehouse and our dark stores.
    • ​Anticipating the needed supply based on sales history, seasons and upcoming campaigns.
    • ​Monitoring and analyzing current inventory based on key inventory management KPIs.
    • ​Developing action plans in coordination with the sales team to optimize stocks.

    Requirements and Experience

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent from a reputable Nigerian
      university.
    • ​Intermediate/ Advanced Excel. Knowledge of other tools i.e. PBI etc. is an advantage
    • Exceptional team working skills and people management.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment preferably in a consumer goods or retail environment.
    • Adequate knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry

    Head of Key Accounts

    Job Responsibilities

    • Accountable for Sales and Revenue growth from Jumia Key Sellers, including shared ownership of Customer Acquisition and Engagement goals.
    • ​Supports Key Account Managers in negotiating commercial terms, signing contracts, and building sound margin structures.
    • ​Partners with Jumia’s key business partners to grow their assortment and business on Jumia.
    • ​Full P&L ownership. Accountable for profitability of respective businesses and shared responsibility over subsidy budgets.
    • ​Build and maintain senior level relationships with Jumia’s key partners, acting as the first point of escalation.

    Desired Experience

    • Relevant work experience, ideally in Retail or Electronics related industry
    • ​Demonstrated ability to optimize spend to achieve business goals.
    • ​Demonstrated success in leading and managing a team.
    • ​Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
    • ​Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining senior level contacts.
    • ​Broad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment.

    Director of Offline Sales

    Responsibilities

    • Drive day to day performance steering and management to deliver the Offline Sale KPIs.
    • Manage the execution of the Offline Sales plan, ensure Jumia always has for each JForce consultant and their customer, the right products at the best price, at the right place.
    • Support massive and complex JForce operations and project management initiatives, coordinating effectively cross functions initiatives.
    • Understand markets trends, JF consultants, vendors, and customers. Continuously bringing valuable insights and convictions to support your recommendations.
    • Build analysis, flying high and diving deep, to ensure smart reporting on the performance across all categories, working alongside Commercial Planning team to deliver best in class performance steering.
    • Owning the planning and execution of JForce’ s partnerships with brands, offering them a revolutionary way to get their products to the customers.
    • Ensuring tight control on budget used for indirect commissions and subsidy.
    • Work very closely with the commercial department to plan the campaigns in accordance with their own capacity and schedule.
    • Work seamlessly with all other departments (Marketing, JS, Operations, Finance...), enabling decision making, problem solving and ensuring laser focus executions.
    • Partner with Jumia Services to improve product availability, reduce costs and minimize our working capital investment.
    • Constantly working toward improving and simplifying our processes. 
    • Work together with system teams to identify main opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains.
    •  Influence large number stakeholders across the business; work closely with the team members and other business groups to deliver results and be comfortable in presenting projects and results to senior leadership on a regular basis

    Expected background and technical skills:

    • An ideal candidate would possess significant (7-10 years) experience in;
    • ​Sales and /or offline retail industry, Team management and a proven track record of impact.

    • ​Top Business / Engineering Schools and Universities
    • ​Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
