    Project Assistant (SRHR)

    About the Job

    • The Program Assistant (SRHR) will provide administrative, programmatic, and logistical support to SRHR projects. This includes assisting in planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of sexual and reproductive health intervention activities, supporting community engagement, ensuring documentation, and working closely with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen access to quality SRHR services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of SRHR program activities at community and facility levels.
    • Assist in preparation of regular reporting and field monitoring visits that are grounded on evidence-based strategies for identifying progress made and challenges encountered.
    • Support the receiving, storage and distribution of non-medical supplies key in SRHR programming.
    • Assist in mobilizing and engaging adolescents, youth, women, and men in SRHR awareness and outreach campaigns.
    • Provide administrative and logistical support for trainings, workshops, and community dialogues.
    • Work with program staff to ensure timely documentation, data collection, and reporting of SRHR activities.
    • A Prepare basic SRHR-related correspondence in line with the HARAF rules and regulations.
    •  Assist with the formulation and tracking of the implementation of work plans and budget expenditures for the SRHR Unit.

    Qualification/professional competencies:

    • Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field.
    • At least 1–2 years of experience in program design and implementation, in a similar role, will be an added advantage.
    • Proven knowledge and experience in developing and implementing community mobilization projects
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment, to remain flexible to a changing environment, and to make decisions independently
    • High level of computer literacy
    • Demonstrate willingness to work in a team.
    • Fluency in English and Hausa is relevant to the project location.

    Procurement Officer

    About the Job

    • The procurement Officer support the effective and transparent management of procurement processes in line with donor and HARAF policies. The officer ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services required for the organization. The role involves sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Source high-quality, cost-effective goods and services, build supplier relationships, and maintain an up-to-date supplier database.
    • Conduct market analysis to ensure HARAF engage with the right suppliers for the right product.
    • Work with program team to manage procurement plans for their various projects while identifying opportunities for cost savings
    • Design procurement performance monitoring tools and dashboards.
    • Track key procurement indicators to monitor efficiency, compliance, and turnaround time.
    • Ensure procurement processes are transparent, competitive, and compliant with organizational and donor requirements.
    • Maintain and update vendor databases, ensuring due diligence and value for money.

    • Minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an NGO or donor-funded project.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and donor compliance (e.g., USAID, EU, UN).
    • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
    • Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software.
    • Familiarity with humanitarian sector procurement regulations and standards.
    • Awareness of market trends and emerging technologies in supply chain management.

    Communication / IT Officer

    About the Job

    • HARAF is looking for an energetic and creative Communications/IT Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies, managing IT infrastructure, identification, drafting, and editing of compelling success stories and ensuring effective dissemination of our messages to diverse stakeholders, including donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the general public.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement communication plans aligned with organizational goals.
    • Manage the organization’s online presence, including website updates and social media platforms.
    • Prepare press releases, newsletters, success stories, and other outreach materials.
    • Identify, draft, and finalize compelling and empowering case studies and success stories from all HARAF projects through regular field visits.
    • Create visually and narratively striking communication tools, including presentations, infographics, and other materials, with support of program teams, to strengthen donor engagement.
    • In collaboration with the operations team, ensure unified branded templates and formats are developed and disseminated for internal and external communications.
    • Ensure sensitization and compliance with new formats and tools by internal teams, strengthening HARAF unified “brand”.

    • Knowledge of network setup, troubleshooting, and data security best practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hausa and English.
