    Crusher Operator - Mfamosing

    Maintains regular interval calibration of belt weighed to have quality and efficient crushing operations.

    Complies with prescribe work instruction in the proper starting and stopping of the crusher and auxiliary units in order to prevent loss and damage to equipment as well as to personnel.

    Responsibilities

    • Accountable for the safety of self and Colleagues in the section.
    • Responsible for LOTOTO registration during all maintenance.
    • First level inspection before start-up beginning from the pry belts to the crusher platform.
    • Follow and review the SOP – Standard Operating Procedure to ensure accuracy.
    • Attends the daily production meeting and receives the daily work instructions.
    • Coordinate the activities on the crusher platforms during operations.
    • Reports any faults found with the plant to the shift leader and submits the
    • checklist to him where such faults are indicated..
    • Prepare daily and monthly report on the material crushed.
    • Contribute to the analysis of failure and problems, recommending corrective actions.
    • Operation of the ECS (Central Control Room) of the Crusher(s).
    • Liaise regularly with the quality team on the raw material sample analysis and follow up with the results.
    • 12 .Records any delays on the crusher plant and reasons for such delays by
    • reporting delays to the shift leader.
    • Helps in the department’s housekeeping by keeping the working area clean.
    • Participates in the Company’s safety program by attending monthly safety
    • meetings and quarterly firefighting training.
    • Performs any other reasonable tasks when requested by Shift Leader.
    • Assists the maintenance team during shutdowns/PMR(preventive maintenance routine)
    • Any other task that may be assigned from time to time

    Education/Qualifications

    • Computer Knowledge
    • Ordinary National Diploma (OND)

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years in similar assignments
    • Working knowledge of cement manufacturing processes: Raw meal preparation, burning, combustion, grinding and packing operation.

    Packing Plant CCR Operator - Mfamosing (4)

    The primary resonsiblity of the Parcking Plant Operator is to extracts cement from various silos and feed packers according to product mix ratio in a safe manner.. Input operational system status in the dash board and control system tools. Coordinates and interface with packer operators, maintenance technicians, engineers and packing shift operative.

    Responsibilities

    • Adhere to plant operational procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely.
    • Extracts cement from various silos and feed packers according to product mix ratio.
    • Input operational system status in the dashboard and control system tools.
    • Tracks down time of packers and inputs reasons for it.
    • Support packer operator, troubleshoot and communicate with shift technicians and engineers, within the shift, and seek further support when required.
    • Gain awareness of system operating requirements and trends and suggest operating adjustment suggestions.
    • Manage electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities within the competency of an operator.
    • Conduct emergency operations for electric service and protecting station equipment, (Reset).
    • Communicates with quality assurance during product swap and follow through, to ensure quality dispatch.
    • Oversee control desk consisting of 3 to 4 HMI computer screens.
    • Respond to the shift supervisor, production floor requests and machine stoppage alerts.
    • Oversee productions and process key metrics for operating plant equipment within parameters.
    • Records all loading order slip and supports the end of shift reports.
    • Handle equipment maintenance LOTOTO request as per standard operating procedures.
    • Receive and reply to calls on radio and mobile relating to the job within the organizations.

    Education/Qualifications

    • OND in sciences, engineering discipline, or any other relevant equivalent.
    • A univeristy degree is a plus

    Experience

    • 3 years’ experience after graduating, with at least 1 year experience in plant operations.
    • Experience in multi-national companies is an added advantage.

    Knowledge & Skills

    Technical / Functional Skills:

    • Strong Excel and MS Office proficiency (including good knowledge of PowerPoint).
    • Good knowledge of HODIM SAP and SAP FC is a plus.

    • Ability to work effectively under time pressure, in a demanding environment, while maintaining the highest professional standards.

    Instrumentation & Automation Technician - Ewekoro

    The Automation & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the routine maintenance of all instruments and automation equipment in the plant. 

    Monitor and report spare availability and consumption pattern to avoid nil-stock for all spare parts. Carry out Minor modifications to support the production process and recommend replacement for obsolete spares.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with process control systems including programmable logic controllers, sensors and actuators
    • Consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams and schematics for installed instrumentation and automation equipment
    • Repair and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts
    • Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipments
    • Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
    • Repair and adjust system components such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers or remove and replace defective parts
    • Maintenance of both analog and digital field instruments such as level, pressure, position, limit, speed, temperature, flow, and weight sensors, actuators and gas analysers
    • Calibrate field instruments such as weigh feeders, beltscales, as well as level pressure, temperature transmitters, and flow meters according to manufacturers specifications or business best practices.
    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete pre-start up test and generate maintenance reports
    • Install control and measurement instrument on existing and new plant equipment and processes under the supervision of the automation/ instrumentation engineer
    • Use the SAP to facilitate proper scheduling, planning of work, and execution; respecting safety of equipment and people in the plant
    • Consult with Central Room Operators for diagnosis of field instrument faults to minimize downtime
    • Support the installation, modification, testing and operation of automation and instrumentation systems and generate document reports for tasks carried out
    • Troubleshoot failures with process control system involving electrical and mechanical equipment and instrument
    • Record and report specific electrical energy consumed in all shops across the plant on a daily basis
    • Carry out regular scheduled inspection of the field instrument and generate report
    • Facilitates communications and relationships:
    • Attends departmental meetings as and when called
    • Supports management policies
    • Communicates results and challenges within the department to the automation/instrumentation engineer

    Education/Qualifications

    • OND/HND/Bsc in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Physics as main subject)

    Knowledge & Skills

    Functional (Technical) Competencies:

    • Good knowledge of of cement manufacturing process
    • Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control tests
    • Good knowledge of computer aided systems for kiln and mill operations
    • Able to take initiatives based on sound problem solving skills
