The Role: 

As a Senior Associate, the candidate ensures smooth operations of our retail products (for example: Send by Flutterwave and Tuition by Flutterwave) through leadership, prompt processing of transactions, customer’s complaint resolution, identifying and resolving issues as well as effective stakeholder’s engagement

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reconciliations: The reconciliation will cover settlement, refund, as well as payout (Wallet)
• Dispute Management: Processing of chargeback and refund requests within the SLA whilst focus on process improvement on any operational gaps noticed
• Complaint Resolution: Will be responsible for resolving customer's complaints through dedicated channels
• Treasury: Will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring sufficient wallet liquidity on all wallets
• Transaction Review: Reviewing of transactions on status other than successful, approval of retried transfers
• Leadership: Will provide leadership to the team member(s) on issues and ensuring all escalations are resolved
• Stakeholders Engagement: Will be point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders on issues related to Send
• Documentation: The candidate will contribute in documentation of processes and Business Required Documents (BRDs)

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 4 years in Fintech Operations
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite and experience in account/wallet reconciliation
• Knowledge of dispute management and relevant operational procedures and regulations
• Understanding of the payment space, regulations, payment methods and relevant experience in Fintech operations
• Open-mindedness with improved probing skills
• Experienced in process improvement, complaint resolution and stakeholder's engagement
• Remittance experience is a nice to have
• Experience in working in a cross-functional team

About the Manager, Sponsorships and Events Role

This role will have full responsibilities for planning and organizing events and sponsorship for the company, the customers and for the various products. He/she will be responsible for all operational, implementation and post event and sponsorship activities. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders to define event and sponsorship goals, objectives and specific implementation plans that promote the brand and Flutterwave’s objectives
• Create and plan event(s) to foster networking opportunities. Determine strategic opportunities for success that may include sponsorships, speaking engagements, roundtable discussions, breakout, and innovative session, and more
• Maintain a calendar of events and sponsorship, implement a system that enables and anticipates mid- and long-term planning and effective event and sponsorship management for all products and company activities
• Create innovative event concepts and unique designs following, adapting, and enhancing current and future industry trends. Manage exhibitor contracts and relationships with business and event associations
• Create targeted activities and events with the intent of maximising on revenue as well as overseeing the various activities and events at Flutterwave
• Prepare and handle events and sponsorship budgets and invoicing for the entire events calendar. As well as delivering on the overall event and sponsorship strategies
• Collaborate and coordinate with various departments in overseeing the planning, logistics and production of all events
• Manage branding and communication of all events as well as being present during key activities and events at Flutterwave
• Promote and source opportunities to increase awareness, promote, develop and maintain good external relations to strengthen Flutterwave’s image
• Develop initiatives to recruit new sponsors
• Draft sponsorship packages for a variety of events, initiatives, and programs
• Maintain a suitable database of all sponsorship activity such as progress timelines and contract values
• Ensure that Flutterwave fulfils all its sponsorship agreements obligations by obtaining all required information from sponsors such as contact information, corporate logos, banners, and any other materials specified in the contract
• Develop and execute CSR programs as well as conducting periodic program reviews to assess outcomes and effectiveness

Competency and Skill Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in event strategy, planning, and/or operations, ideally in the tech industry
• Extensive experience owning / running large-scale strategic events.
• Knowledge of event scheduling, production, administration, and event sponsorship is required.

The Role

The team is looking for a customer-focused, passionate, and committed tester, who will strive for quality and excellence in the company’s products as we grow and expand across Africa and beyond.  As a Test Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be, bug detection, user satisfaction, design, and execute automated tests in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining the quality of the product and assisting other team members where applicable.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be

• You should be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with business owners and product managers to review requirements, develop detailed test plans, and test scenarios.
• Create quality test cases while creating both positive and negative path scenarios.
• Execute testing and assist with automated testing where applicable.
• When a product does not perform within specifications or user experience, identify, recreate, and log defects while recommending solutions and improvements.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies, by evaluating, learning, and implementing the tools to the benefit of the products.
• Participate in knowledge sharing with other QA team members.
• Perform any other duties that may be required.

Required competency and skillset to be a Waver

• Minimum 6 years experience in software testing (Preferable in the Fintech space).
• Good knowledge of quality assurance terminology and methods.
• Good knowledge of any of the following programming languages [Java, (NodeJS) Javascript, C#, React Native (Typescript), Kotlin (Android), and Swift (IOS)]
• Good knowledge of database testing (performance and/or security testing is a plus)
• Good knowledge of any automated testing tools (Postman, Selenium, Cucumber…)
• Good, working, knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience with test management tools (Jira, and/or Testrail)
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
• Pays meticulous attention to detail.
