Description

Production supervisor oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as stretch-hood pallet receiving, and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervising staff and daily activities in stretch-hood section.

• Managing, evaluating and reporting on stretch-hood productivity.

• Tracking and coordinating the ATC, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.

• Determine staffing levels, records and assign work.

• Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project stretch-hood status

• Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.

• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Performing a daily inspection of the stretch-hood grounds.

• Coordinating with technical heads and maintaining equipment.

• Ensure that minimum 750mt of cement per twelve hour per shift is being dispatched.

• Communicating and coordinating with other departments (weighbridge and transports dept.).

• Time management skills and the ability to delegate.

• Manage packing plant shift teams to ensure effective and efficient execution of packing plant activities and achievement of daily production targets.

• Assist with reviewing of ATCs for respective shift team.

• Assist in supervising the loading of cement into trucks during respective shift.

• Supervise the operation of packing plant equipment’s during respective shift.

• Liaise with maintenance engineers for the maintenance of packing plant machine and ensure prompt repairs are carried out when required.

• Enforce the use of personal protection equipment during respective shift to prevent accidents.

• Ensure effective on-the-job training of packing plant operators.

• Perform any other duty assigned by the Shift Manager.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

Requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications

• OND or a related field preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good housekeeping skills

• Work Experience OND or its equivalent in any discipline with minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience.

Description

Job Summary: Palletizer machine, Packer Operator with the skills and competence to operate machinery and equipment according to instructions in a safe and effective manner.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Operates console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets with cement of finished products

• Observes packages moving along conveyor to identify packages and to detect defective packaging, and presses console buttons to deflect packages to predetermined accumulator or reject lines.

• Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of packages on pallet and to transfer loaded pallet for takeoff to storage or delivery platform.

• Stops equipment to clear jams (emergency stop).

• Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction.

• Keep record of production and equipment performance.

• Replace palletizing stretch hood film when finish use and give stock balance.

• Clean Palletizer machine properly and clean surrounding.

• Always operate Palletizer machine in auto mode.

• Keep Palletizer machine report book and stoppage.

• Do not leave Palletizer machine unattended.

• Do not leave work spot without permission.

• Ensure that 750mt of cement per twelve hour per shift is being dispatched.

• Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.

• Always operate packers/autoloaders in auto mode.

• Keep checking bags weight for 50kg, else inform supervisor.

• Stack reject bags properly.

• Stack busted bags properly.

• Do not leave work spot without permission.

• Clean packers line periodically without unwanted material such as rejected and busted bags.

• Inform shift manager and shift supervisor about any issues.

• Give attendance to shift manager and take any specific instruction.

• Proper taking over from previous shift.

Hand over with proper communication to reliever.

Requirements

Academic / Professional Qualifications

Trade Test 1,2,3

WASC/GCE/SSCE with minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.

• Work Experience Trade test 1, 2, 3 in Mechanical related Trade with 5 years relevant work experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of cement production process.

• Working knowledge of the Palletizer Machine, cement packing machines/ functions and procedures.

• Ability to pay attention to details.

• Good relationship interpersonal skills
