    Junior Associate, Podcast Production & CEO Support

    Role Summary

    • The Junior Associate – Podcast Production & CEO Support is responsible for supporting the production of high-quality podcast content and providing dedicated assistance to the CEO on podcast-related storytelling, content development, and coordination.
    • The role requires creativity, organization, and strong communication skills to translate clean energy and sustainability topics into compelling and accessible narratives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Podcast Production Support

    • Support the planning, recording, editing, and publishing of podcast episodes
    • Coordinate podcast schedules, guest bookings, and recording sessions
    • Prepare episode briefs, scripts, and show notes
    • Manage podcast distribution across platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts)
    • Ensure audio quality and oversee basic editing or liaise with external editors
    • Track podcast performance metrics and prepare periodic reports

    Storytelling & Content Development

    • Contribute to the development of storytelling frameworks for podcast episodes
    • Research and develop content on clean energy, climate innovation, and sustainability
    • Translate technical topics into engaging, audience-friendly narratives
    • Draft podcast scripts, interview questions, and promotional content
    • Support content creation for social media and marketing campaigns linked to the podcast

    CEO Support (Podcast & Storytelling Focus)

    • Provide administrative and coordination support to the CEO on podcast-related activities
    • Manage the CEO’s podcast calendar, including scheduling recordings and meetings
    • Prepare briefing notes, talking points, and background research for podcast appearances
    • Document key insights, action points, and follow-ups from podcast discussions
    • Support the execution of the CEO’s storytelling strategy across platforms

    Coordination & Communication

    • Liaise with internal teams, partners, and podcast guests
    • Ensure timely communication and follow-ups with stakeholders
    • Maintain organized records of podcast assets, contacts, and documentation

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in in social sciences, international development, or other relevant related field;
    • Proven experience in knowledge management, content management, or a related area.
    • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in knowledge management tools and systems (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, etc.).
    • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.

    Manager, Research

    Job Summary

    • The Manager, Research will lead research initiatives focused on clean energy technologies, climate solutions, and sustainable development in Africa. The role involves managing research projects, generating evidence and insights, supporting policy and innovation programs, and collaborating with academic and industry partners.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement research agendas aligned with clean energy, climate resilience, and innovation priorities.
    • Lead research projects from design to completion including methodology, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and produce reports, policy briefs, and research publications.
    • Engage academic institutions, government agencies, and industry partners for collaborative research and innovation.
    • Present research findings through workshops, conferences, and publications and support knowledge dissemination.
    • Identify funding opportunities, contribute to grant proposals, and manage donor funded research projects.

    • Strong research methodology skills including survey design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
    • Proficiency in research and data tools such as Python, R, SPSS, Excel, or similar platforms.
    • Experience with qualitative analysis tools such as NVivo or related software.
    • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate research into actionable insights.
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills for both technical and non technical audiences.
    • Knowledge of clean energy technologies, climate policy, and African development contexts.
    • Experience managing research projects, timelines, and budgets.

    Manager, Communications

    Job Summary

    • The Manager, Communications will lead the development and execution of strategic communications to strengthen the visibility, influence, and impact of Clean Technology Hub.
    • The role will manage corporate communications, external and stakeholder communications, digital platforms, media engagement, storytelling, and internal communications while supporting campaigns that promote clean energy innovation and climate resilience across Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a communications strategy aligned with organizational goals and programs including research, incubation, and policy initiatives.
    • Produce high quality content including press releases, blogs, newsletters, reports, multimedia materials, and social media content.
    • Build relationships with journalists, media outlets, and partners. Coordinate media engagements, interviews, and press events.
    • Oversee our digital communications - including social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube. Monitor analytics to track growth and run digital campaigns to grow engagement and visibility.
    • Maintain the organization's website and ensure all materials follow brand and editorial standards.
    • Lead communications planning for events, workshops, and conferences including promotional materials and post event reporting.
    • Support internal updates, knowledge sharing, and documentation across teams.
    • Track communications performance including media coverage, reach, and engagement and prepare reports for leadership.
    • Supervise communications staff, interns, or consultants and support communication needs across program teams.
    • Support fund raising goals to drive our communications campaigns

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field. Master's degree is an advantage.
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications, with at least 5 years preferably in the clean energy, climate, development, or nonprofit sector.

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong storytelling and multimedia production skills including podcast production, scripting, recording, and editing.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, Canva, CapCut, and other digital design tools.
    • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Webflow.
    • Strong understanding of social media management and analytics tools including
    • Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or similar platforms.
    • Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp or Brevo.
    • Ability to design infographics, presentations, and digital storytelling materials.
    • Knowledge of media relations, climate and clean energy communication, and African development contexts.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple communication activities.
