    MMBA Programme Manager

    Lagos Business School (LBS) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised professional to serve as the Modular MBA (MMBA) Programme Manager. This full-time position plays a pivotal role in the effective delivery of the Modular MBA programme, ensuring academic administration and operations are executed at the highest standard. The successful candidate will act as a central liaison among faculty, students, and internal departments, supporting the seamless coordination of academic services and maintaining the quality and consistency that define LBS’s postgraduate programmes.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    Candidates must possess at least a good first degree. An MBA or a relevant professional qualification would be a distinct advantage. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of six years of progressive experience in academic administration or programme management, with preference given to those who have managed postgraduate or executive education programmes in structured academic institutions. The role demands proficiency in managing academic data and student records, strong skills in planning and scheduling, and a solid understanding of academic systems and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is essential. Candidates must also exhibit a service-driven mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours, including some weekends.

    DUTIES:

    The MMBA Programme Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire academic lifecycle of MMBA students. This includes managing enrolment processes, student orientation, course scheduling, attendance tracking, and graduation procedures. The manager will serve as the administrative link between faculty and students, facilitating clear and timely communication while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of academic records. Responsibilities also include overseeing the timely processing of results, supporting accreditation activities, and coordinating international study visits and academic events such as convocation and inaugural lectures. A key aspect of the role involves ensuring the proper use of the LMS, collaborating with the finance department to monitor fee payments, and addressing student and faculty inquiries with professionalism and urgency. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead documentation and continuous improvement of internal processes, contributing to the school’s operational excellence and international standing.

    The role reports directly to the Head of MBA Programme Management. Success in this position will be measured by student satisfaction and retention, the accuracy and turnaround time of academic documentation, the efficiency of programme operations, and compliance with internal and external academic standards. The ideal candidate must be proactive in identifying areas for service improvement and committed to delivering a student-focused academic experience.

    Associate, Programme Design and Management

    Lagos Business School seeks individuals who can drive corporate sustainability and responsible business practices. The Associate will contribute to sustainable management, engage key industry leaders, and advance sustainability in management disciplines. They will also collaborate with the LBS research community to create quality teaching materials and research outputs.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    The Associate should hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, with postgraduate training and membership in a related professional body as an advantage. They will have at least two (2) years of experience in a think tank, research institute, or consulting/advisory firm, with expertise in sustainability, research, business development, and project management. Key competencies include leadership, stakeholder engagement, planning, communication, strategic thinking, and adaptability. Technical skills include strong research and knowledge generation, budgeting, relationship management, reporting, database management, project management, creativity, grant writing, fundraising, sustainability reporting and impact assessment.

    DUTIES:

    The Associate will provide expertise and innovation to enhance CSR/Sustainability efforts at LBS, identifying opportunities for improvement. They will collaborate with internal units, students, and external partners to develop and advise on sustainability initiatives. The role includes monitoring, documenting, and reporting on sustainability performance in alignment with LBS strategy and the UN PRME. The Associate will prepare reports and support external communication on sustainability achievements, represent LBS at events, and manage stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities also include proposal development, programme management, and identifying trends and opportunities in sustainability. They will design and manage blended sustainability programmes, manage work and communication plans, and oversee conference and forum planning and reporting.

    Manager, Industry Services and Research

    Lagos Business School seeks a Manager for Industry Engagement and Research to strengthen the Centre’s industry partnerships, facilitate collaborative research, and drive the translation of research into actionable solutions. This dynamic leader will cultivate strategic collaborations, secure research funding, and ensure research outcomes create real-world impact. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to bridge academia and industry.     QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant field and have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in industry engagement, project management, or related roles, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity. They will have a proven track record of managing research projects, securing funding, and collaborating with external stakeholders. The candidate will also know research commercialisation, intellectual property, and technology transfer, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Professional training and membership in a relevant professional body are also required.

    DUTIES:

    Manager, Industry Services and Research will develop and execute strategies to engage industry partners, government agencies, and research institutions, fostering collaborations and securing research funding. They will lead research projects, ensure alignment with industry needs and institutional goals, and serve as the primary liaison between the organisation and external stakeholders. The role includes overseeing industry-funded projects, monitoring progress, and ensuring agreement adherence. The candidate will work with partners to promote sustainable practices, monitor trends in ESG and sustainability, and identify funding sources. They will coordinate project activities, develop research proposals, and establish strong relationships with industry leaders, research bodies, and funding organisations. Additionally, the candidate will mentor research teams, represent the organisation at industry events, and ensure high-quality project outputs.

    Case Assistant

    Lagos Business School (LBS) seeks a detail-oriented and highly organised Case Assistant to join our Research Department. This role is integral to the development and publication of high-quality case studies that support LBS’s academic and research goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    The Case Assistant should hold a first degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Business, or a related field and possess at least two years of experience in research, academic writing, publishing, or an administrative role in an academic setting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate intense research and analytical skills, the ability to synthesise complex information, and excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, and familiarity with academic referencing styles (APA, MLA, Harvard, etc.) are required. Strong organisational and time management skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team are essential. Prior experience in academic publishing or content development is an added advantage.

    DUTIES:

    The Case Assistant will be key in supporting case development activities at Lagos Business School. The Case Assistant will ensure that cases are properly formatted before publication, maintain accurate records of LBS cases, and facilitate collaboration between faculty members and the Case Unit to enhance the quality and quantity of case studies. The successful candidate will also support the timely review and publication of cases in line with LBS case development processes. The Case Assistant will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to the case review and publication process, supporting the execution of the Case Unit’s annual objectives, and providing administrative support for case development activities. The role will require strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with faculty members and research staff to meet publication deadlines.

    The successful candidate will also contribute to the implementation of the Case Unit’s strategies and assist with other tasks assigned by the Case Director or Case Lead to support the School’s research objectives.

They will conduct and manage research projects, producing high-quality outputs that influence management practice. The role involves engaging with industry leaders, policymakers, and professionals to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange. The individual will contribute to developing case studies and teaching materials for academic and executive education. They will support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and building relationships with stakeholders. Project management is key, ensuring timely and effective delivery of initiatives. The role also includes staying updated on global sustainability trends and integrating insights into LBS programmes and research.
