    IT Business Application Supervisor

    Location: Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for using technology to improve business performance and strategy.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assesses user needs to provide support and proactive service, including analysis of opportunities in order to take advantage of available tools.
    • Focal point for communicating related system problems within the organization and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates.
    • Manages the release process for applications which includes effective department wide and end user communication
    • Develops relevant metrics, measures and publishes the performance of the services provided and enables continuous improvement activities in collaboration with all stakeholders.
    • Works closely with all other departments in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies.
    • Ensure department adheres to policies and procedures that are compliant with industry and regulatory policies
    •  Assists with the preparation of budget for IT systems and services related interfaces and applications
    • Keeps abreast of new developments and forecasts future trends in the area of application integration in the Power industry.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or any related field.
    • Minimum of five to seven (5 - 7) years cognate experience
    • A post graduate degree or certifications will be an added advantage

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of business application support and development.
    • Working knowledge of MS SQL Database, Linux/Unix systems, scripting, and basic network configurations and maintain technical data reports.
    • Knowledge and understanding of goals and the inter-dependencies of functional departments and groups and the ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs
    • Excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation, and interpersonal skills focused on motivation and positive attitude
    • Highly self-motivated, directed and change oriented
    • Ability to handle confrontation with professionalism, cordiality, firmness, and manage/resolve disputes appropriately

    Plant Performance Engineer

    Location: Ikorodu, Lagos

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the plant performance, providing technical expertise and engineering support in the area of plant performance and efficiency to address any potential gap.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor the performance of assigned generating units as well as the performance of individual equipment and subsystems (e.g. boilers, turbines, condensers, FW heaters).
    • Take periodic plant performance readings and parameters
    • Determine the causes of generating unit performance losses through diagnostic analysis of operational data for both steady-state and transient operation, along with physical inspection of plant components as required.
    • Initiates improvements to generating unit to optimize plant performance.
    • Monitor, analyze, evaluate, and investigate reliability issues in systems, processes, and equipment.
    • Coordinate performance tests & develop improvement method
    • Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity and reliability.
    • Oversee unit performance lifecycle and identify key metrics for performance improvements
    • Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies between current operating data, model predictions and long-term operating trends.
    • Guide and assist the Maintenance and Operation departments to effect improvements in plant performance and efficiency.
    • Troubleshoot abnormal operating events and coordinate a solution between relevant parties
    • Model and predict consumption of gas, water and other consumables, compare to current and long-term trends, analyze the results and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Generate periodic performance reports for management review.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production or Chemical Engineering
    • Minimum of five to seven (5 - 7) years in a Steam Power Plants operations
    • A post graduate degree or certification such as COREN will be an added advantage

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Knowledge of operations of steam turbine power plant and its generation components; turbine, boiler, BOP etc.
    • Knowledge of calculating power plant indices
    • Knowledge of key machine performance characteristics
    • Competence to identify, measure and improve performance on key operating parameters of the operations of the power plant
    • Ability to identify impending problems and take preventive measures
    • Analytical ability for technical problem solving
    • Knowledge of power plant chemistry
    • Knowledge of safety, environment, OHSAS and other statutory norms
    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Good relationship management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

    Lead - Talent & Organizational Performance

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for identifying opportunity areas and analyzing models for data-driven strategy across the talent management continuum.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities
    Talent Management:

    • Contributing to the overall talent strategy; coming up with proposals for achieving the talent agenda strategic vision; planning and executing talent engagement and experience initiatives in Egbin; developing programme content for proposed initiatives; recommending new techniques and roadmap to achieving the talent goals.
    • Working with management to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities as it relates to the Talent agenda; evaluating existing talent management processes (across the end to end continuum) and recommending improvements.
    • Supporting the design of a frameworks for developing future leaders in Egbin; collaborating with business schools and other third parties to develop and deliver cutting-edge leadership programmes, learning and development initiatives and training.
    • Designing policies, processes and programs that support the overall talent strategy in relation to organizational architecture, planning, development and management.
    • Gathering and analyzing talent needs and developing strategies to meet these needs; developing action plans to overcome talent challenges and recommending improvements based on market and competitive trends; identifying and developing new opportunities for talent management.
    • Supporting change management efforts as they relate to organizational culture.
    • Providing workforce insights and data analytics on talent management, analyzing workforce data and industry trends to guide recommendations on talent related issues, policies and practices.
    • Promoting strong interpersonal relations, marketing the talent management agenda in a creative and effective manner; deploying tactical plans that enables the delivery of the talent strategy; cultivating and maintaining partnerships and alliances with external entities; developing reciprocal relationships with the domestic and international HR community in areas such as best practices and benchmarking.

    Performance Management:

    • Leading on all aspects of performance management and objective setting across the company.
    • Supporting the design of a robust performance management strategy tied to quantitative and qualitative organizational goals for Egbin in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
    • Develop efficient systems for collection information on performance
    • Gathering and analyzing cross-functional performance data
    • Presenting statistical performance analysis and recommending solutions
    • Design and review policies related to employee performance
    • Identify, report and resolve workplace or interpersonal barriers to performance

    Organization Design:

    • Assist in developing an effective staff resourcing model
    • Review/ maintain/ update the organization’s structure, job descriptions and manning levels in line with business need and requirement.
    • Coordinate staff placement on org structure and development of career and succession plans.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Minimum of a degree in any relevant field.
    • Minimum of 8 -12 years of relevant experience.
    • Professional qualifications (CIPD, CIPM, SHRM) is a must.
    • Post graduate qualification in Organizational Development, HR or equivalent is desirable.
    • Experience in Change Management, Organization Psychology, Organization Design is preferred.
    • Specialized training in Data Analytics, performance and talent management is preferred.
    • Demonstrable experience of organization design and development.
    • Experience of working with senior management teams on the design and delivery of complex change
    • Experience in talent management practices, strategy development and execution.
