Responsibilities

• Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels, and giving out the supplies from the stock.
• Preparation of inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records, and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
• Overseeing the orderly arrangement of goods within the stock location system for easy storage and retrieval when required.
• Ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse.
• Undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members.
• Supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily
• Ensures the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing, and unpacking
• Responsible for preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory, and warehousing functions.
• Maintains a record of Items received as well as the issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Involved in the reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system

Requirements

• OND, HND, or B.Sc in any discipline
• Minimum of 1 years experience as an Inventory Officer.
• Experience with MS Office and data programs
• Familiarity with administrative duties
• Typing speed and accuracy
• Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
• Attention to detail
• Confidentiality
• Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.

Job Scope

• Developing a growth strategy for the wholesale arm of the business
• Identifying and engaging prospects, following up on business opportunities
• Initiating and maintaining profitable relationships with new/ existing customers
• Introducing new/ existing products to prospective clients
• Negotiating contracts, initiating proposals, and closing deals

Key Responsibilities

• Prospecting potential new clients and convert into increased business
• Designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base
• Meeting with potential customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
• Identifying potential customers and the decision-makers within the client organization and setting up meetings with the decision-makers.
• Negotiating and advising on pricing for customer requests.
• Presenting new products and other services/partnerships for schools, building new and enhancing existing relationships.
• Work with the Procurement and Store teams to ensure customer orders are met.
• Follow up with customers on orders delivered to ensure satisfaction.
• Attend industry functions, such as exhibitions, conferences, school fun fair, inter-house sports activities, and workshops, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Present to and consult with the senior management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
• Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
• Using knowledge of the market and competitors, you will identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
• Submission of weekly progress reports and ensuring all data reported are accurate.
• Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system.
• Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet set targets.
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitors’ status
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with customers and understanding their needs.
• Recording sales information and maintaining customers’ records and database

Requirements

• BSc / MSc in relevant fields
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Business Development.
• In-depth knowledge of the industry and current trends (Market Knowledge)
• Excellent social skills
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
• Must have attention to detail and be numerically sound
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
