    Administrative Intern

    Purpose Of Position

    Palladium is seeking to recruit an Administrative Intern to support our Finance and Operations team. S/he will be responsible for provide administrative support for the office in line with Palladium policies, International and Nigeria Labour Law, donor requirements, and Nigerian laws.

    The intern is expected to work very closely with other staff in the field and office to process any required documents in support of project, program or administrative activities and contribute to the effective administrative duties and give support to the field office where necessary.

    The Administrative Intern will report to the Senior Finance and Admin Officer.

    This position located in Abuja, Nigeria and does not support remote work. The incumbent will be required to work out of the Palladium, Abuja office.

    Primary Duties And Responsibilities

    • Support in the preparation of monthly Field Voucher reports for the Finance an Operations unit.
    • Assist in periodic verification of physical inventory.
    • Support timely collation of retirements’ supporting documents from the State offices.
    • Manages the inventory of project assets and consumables such as beverages and stationery items etc while ensuring timely re-stocking.
    • Assist and maintain efficient filing systems for both physical and electronic records on administrative matters.
    • Support in ensuring proper documentation of official communications, reports, and other relevant documents.
    • Support archiving processes and facilitate retrieval of records as needed.
    • Scanning of approved documents for relevant documentation and classifying in respective soft/hard file.
    • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings, workshops, and other events.
    • Assist in ensuring prompt remittance of the monthly payroll and Tax deductions at the bank.
    • Perform other official duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

    Required Qualifications

    • B.Sc. / B.A in Public Administration / Relations, Humanities, or related fields.
    • Previous experience in the INGO sector will be an advantage.
    • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including good listening skills, influencing and negotiation.
    • Capacity to build and maintain relationships and to work effectively in a multicultural and multi-ethnic environment respecting diversity.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Fluency in English with excellent writing and speaking skills is required.
    • Possess the ability to handle Finance and Administrative Routines.

    Data Engineer Intern

    Purpose of Position

    Palladium is seeking to recruit a skilled Data engineer intern is responsible for the execution of developing APIs to connect data, developing ETLs, data ingestion, mapping, deduplication, data modelling, data analysis, and reporting tasks in line with work plan and team objectives, develops specific data products and solutions assigned in adherence to the business and functional requirements, quality and timelines set, works closely with a team of individuals from data use, data visualization, project management, software development, quality assurance, business analysts and solutions architects.

    The Data engineer intern will report to the supervisor and work in collaboration with the Data Use and Analytics, and the Business Analytics team.

    Primary Duties And Responsibilities

    • Work with the engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
    • Responsible for the quality of data across the core systems and respective data marts.
    • Support data modelling and data mart development.
    • Synthesis of requirements, identification and analysis of data sources for mapping and performing data quality tests to support source system mapping exercise.
    • Define and arbitrate the transformation rules per source system and develop ETLs to populate respective data marts.
    • Perform data profiling functions and interrogation queries against source systems and verify data marts after ETL processes.
    • Work closely with the data use teams in developing data products for the larger stakeholder groups.
    • Align with QA approaches established within the software development process to resolve data quality, inconsistency and integrity issues.
    • Maintain data dictionaries/metadata of the source systems and respective data marts.

    Required Qualifications

    • BSc. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • At least 1 years’ experience developing digital information systems.
    • Familiarity with open-source global goods, including demonstrated experience using DHIS2.
    • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
    • Proven working experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL
    • Experience in NoSQL databases is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience developing web applications.
    • Demonstrated proficiency of languages such as R, Python etc.
    • Experience in implementing a data warehouse is an added advantage.
    • Ability to take direction to iteratively define and implement the solution as requirements are being identified and finalized.
    • Demonstrated experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast fast-paced, technically challenging environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, agile development environment.
    • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
    • Good problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.
    • Good analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
    • Excellent documentation skills.
