    Human Resource Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all HR functions within a large-scale poultry farming operation. This role ensures effective workforce planning, employee relations, compliance with labour regulations, and the implementation of HR policies tailored to the agricultural sector. The position demands hands-on HR leadership, operational insight, and the ability to support a diverse and dynamic farm workforce. As a key partner to management, the HR Manager will drive people strategy, improve organisational efficiency, and foster a performance-driven and compliant work environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with farm operations and business goals.
    • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes for farm and administrative staff.
    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety standards, and farm-specific regulatory requirements.
    • Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures to maintain a productive work environment.
    • Coordinate and monitor performance management systems tailored to farm roles and responsibilities.
    • Organise training and capacity-building initiatives to improve staff efficiency and technical competencies.
    • Maintain accurate HR records, payroll administration, and leave management using digital HR tools.
    • Collaborate with management to plan workforce needs in response to production cycles and seasonal demands.
    • Promote employee welfare, engagement, and communication across various levels of the farm workforce.
    • Provide HR reports and insights to support strategic decision-making and organisational development.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or any related field of study.
    • A recognised HR certification is highly desirable.

    Knowledge, Skills And Experience

    • Minimum of 7 (seven) years of experience in HR management with a solid understanding of Nigerian Labour Laws.
    • Prior experience in the agriculture or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors will be considered an asset.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex workforce issues, provide practical HR solutions, and contribute to strategic business planning.
    • Excellent people management and customer service orientation, with the ability to build strong internal relationships.
    • Proficient in managing administrative functions, including event coordination, procurement, and general office oversight.
    • Strong analytical and business insight skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
    • Willingness and capacity to work in a farm-based setting, including adaptability to varying weather and environmental conditions.
    • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.

    Finance Business Partner

    Job Summary

    • The Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in driving financial performance and operational efficiency across the poultry farm. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial insights, analysing key cost and revenue drivers, and supporting data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to align financial planning with agricultural operations. As a trusted advisor to senior management, the Finance Business Partner will enable sustainable growth, improve cost control, and support value creation across the business.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Act as a strategic advisor to business units by providing financial insights and decision support.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for designated departments or projects.
    • Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
    • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business insights.
    • Support investment appraisals, business cases, and ROI analyses.
    • Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and speed.
    • Ensure financial compliance and integrity in all reports and business operations.
    • Support month-end close activities and variance analysis.
    • Prepare reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • A recognised professional qualification such as ACCA or ICAN (or in the final stages of certification) is highly desirable.
    • Advanced degrees are an added advantage.

    Knowledge, Skills And Experiences

    • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.
    • Strong understanding of financial modelling, forecasting techniques, and key business drivers.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems.
    • Proven ability to interpret and present complex financial data to senior stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Collaborative mindset with a proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented approach.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Willingness and ability to work in a farm environment, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and strong attention to detail.
