    Head Chef (Beach Resort)

    Job Overview

    • We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary operations of a fast-paceresort in Lagos.
    • This role is suited for a top-tier culinary professional with a minimum of 12 years’ experience, capable of delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
    • The ideal candidate is a versatile and innovative continental chef with a passion for crafting memorable dining experiences.
    • You will be responsible for managing a small kitchen team, maintaining the highest food standards, and introducing creative menus that enhance customer satisfaction while driving revenue and profitability.

    Key Responsibilities
    Culinary Leadership & Food Quality:

    • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste at all times.
    • Design and execute diverse, appealing menus featuring continental cuisine, tropical dishes, and creative finger foods.
    • Continuously innovate and refresh menus to align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
    • Maintain consistency in food preparation and portion control.
    • Kitchen Management.
    • Lead, supervise, and train akitchen team ensuring efficiency and teamwork.
    • Plan and organize kitchen workflow to meet high demand in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and hygiene practices in line with health and safety regulations.

    Operational Efficiency:

    • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
    • Monitor inventory levels, reduce wastage, and control food costs.
    • Coordinate with management on procurement and supplier selection.

    Customer Experience & Business Growth:

    • Create enticing dining experiences that enhance guest satisfaction.
    • Develop menu offerings that contribute directly to increased sales and profitability.
    • Respond to customer feedback and adjust offerings accordingly.

    Work Schedule & Conditions

    • Standard working hours: 9 hours per day.
    • Flexibility required, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
    • Accommodation: Shared living space provided.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 12 years of proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort.
    • Strong expertise in continental cuisine, with the ability to incorporate tropical and innovative food concepts.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong leadership and team management capability.
    • Deep understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

    Private Continental Chef (Live in)

    Position Overview

    • A refined private household in Ikoyi is seeking a skilled and creative Continental Chef to provide exceptional culinary services.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in European and international cuisines, a deep understanding of fine dining standards, and the ability to deliver consistently high-quality meals tailored to the household’s preferences.
    • This role requires discretion, professionalism, and the ability to operate in a private, fast-paced domestic environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare, and present a variety of high-quality continental dishes (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.)
    • Design customized menus based on the household’s dietary needs, preferences, and seasonal ingredients
    • Ensure meals are served fresh, well-presented, and in line with fine dining standards
    • Source premium ingredients and manage relationships with suppliers/vendors
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
    • Oversee food storage, inventory management, and cost control
    • Accommodate special dietary requirements (e.g., low-carb, gluten-free, vegan, etc.)
    • Prepare meals for private events, small gatherings, or entertaining guests when required
    • Stay updated with culinary trends and continuously introduce innovative dishes
    • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and health regulations

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Continental Chef, preferably in private households, luxury restaurants, or hotels
    • Formal culinary training or certification is an added advantage
    • Strong knowledge of European cuisines and fine dining techniques
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • High level of discretion and respect for privacy
    • Strong attention to detail and presentation
    • Good communication skills
    • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Experience working in privatehouseholds
    • Creativity in menu development and plating
    • Knowledge of wine pairing is a plus
