    Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics Supervisor

    Overview

    • The Supervisor – Global Trade, Supply Chain & Logistics is responsible for overseeing end-to-end international supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods across borders while maintaining compliance with global trade regulations. The role supervises logistics execution, trade documentation, customs coordination, freight management, and cross-functional alignment to support cost-effective, timely, and compliant global trade activities.

    Key Responsibilities
    Global Trade & Compliance

    • Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, sanctions, and export/import controls.
    • Oversee preparation, accuracy, and submission of trade documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, HS codes, LC documents, etc.).
    • Monitor tariff classifications, duties, taxes, and trade agreements to optimize landed cost.
    • Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers and authorities in multiple jurisdictions.

    Supply Chain & Logistics Operations

    • Supervise international freight movements (sea, air, road, rail) from origin to final destination.
    • Plan and monitor shipment schedules, lead times, and delivery performance.
    • Oversee warehousing, inventory transfers, and distribution coordination where applicable.
    • Resolve logistics disruptions, delays, damages, or compliance issues proactively.

    Vendor & Partner Management

    • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, warehouses, and carriers.
    • Negotiate service levels, rates, and performance KPIs with logistics service providers.
    • Evaluate and onboard new logistics partners as required.

    Cost Control & Performance Management

    • Monitor freight, customs, and logistics costs against approved budgets.
    • Identify cost-reduction and process-optimization opportunities across the supply chain.
    • Track and report on KPIs such as OTIF delivery, transit times, customs clearance lead time, and cost per shipment.

    Team Supervision & Coordination

    • Supervise logistics coordinators, trade officers, and operational staff.
    • Allocate workloads, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
    • Train team members on trade compliance, documentation, and logistics best practices.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Liaise with Procurement, Sales, Finance, Quality Control, and Legal departments.
    • Support contract execution, Incoterms interpretation, and payment coordination (LCs, SBLCs, escrow, etc.).
    • Provide operational input for supplier selection and trade route planning.

    Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Prepare regular operational, compliance, and cost reports for management.
    • Support audits, internal controls, and risk assessments related to global trade.
    • Implement process improvements and digitalization initiatives within logistics operations.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in agricultural commodities trading, client sourcing, or international trade development.
    • Proven track record of building and managing client relationships across multiple regions.
    • Strong understanding of agricultural commodity markets, trade documentation, and Incoterms.
    • International negotiation and relationship-management skills
    • Market analysis and strategic client development
    • Knowledge of trade finance instruments and payment structure
    • Strong communication and stakeholder-coordination abilities
    • High level of commercial judgment and risk awareness

    Agricultural QC Inspector

    Overview

    • The Agricultural Quality Control Inspector is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of agricultural products throughout sourcing, handling, storage, processing, and distribution stages. The role involves conducting quality assessments, identifying defects or contamination risks, enforcing quality standards, and maintaining accurate inspection records to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities
    Quality Inspection & Compliance

    • Conduct physical inspections of agricultural commodities and farm produce to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
    • Examine products for defects, contamination, moisture levels, grading, weight, appearance, and overall condition.
    • Verify compliance with food safety regulations, export standards, and company quality procedures.
    • Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and storage standards across operational locations.

    Sampling & Testing

    • Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and quality verification.
    • Perform basic quality tests and measurements where applicable.
    • Monitor product quality during receiving, storage, loading, and transportation processes.
    • Identify non-conforming products and escalate issues promptly.

    Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and compliance documentation.
    • Record inspection findings, rejected products, corrective actions, and quality trends.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports for management review.
    • Support audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.

    Operational Monitoring

    • Inspect warehouses, storage facilities, trucks, containers, and handling processes.
    • Monitor temperature, moisture, packaging, and storage conditions to minimize spoilage and losses.
    • Ensure proper product labeling, traceability, and inventory identification.

    Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination

    • Work closely with suppliers, farmers, warehouse teams, logistics staff, and procurement teams.
    • Communicate quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
    • Assist in supplier quality assessments and product acceptance decisions.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Recommend improvements to quality control procedures and operational practices.
    • Support implementation of quality assurance systems and SOPs.
    • Participate in training initiatives related to food safety and product quality standards.

    Required Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Food Science, Quality Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in agricultural quality inspection, food quality control, or commodity grading.
    • Knowledge of agricultural commodity standards, grading systems, and quality requirements.
    • Familiarity with food safety standards, hygiene practices, and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
    • Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
    • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
    • Willingness to travel to farms, warehouses, and operational sites when required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Laboratory Leadership & Operations

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS).
    • Valid and current practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
    • Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC experience.
    • Strong technical competence across major laboratory units.
    • Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
